I went to the Fayettevill, Cross Creek mall location seeking support for 4 destination LE3 tires that had developed dry rot cracks on all four, under 18,000 miles. Firestone calls them ozone and environmental effects. The young kid at the counter was a smart-a**. I told him it's a Firestone product so I'd expect a Firestone shop to help evaluate and initiate the manufacturers warranty process. He says something stupid, like "you can't just go to any location for warranty claims...". Firestone corporate told me over the phone to go to any authorized Firestone dealer. So I gave up trying to get professionalism from a smart-a** and started walking. He blurts out," have a blessed day". I let it go with no reply but wanted to tell him he's a minimum wage scrub that probably won't be making that much next year, but no, I just left. He went low, I went high. Firestone seems to have no intention of honoring warranties without a lengthy process to discourage the customer. No more Firestones! read more

Came in for a standard brake replacement and the tech acted like I didn't know what my own car need. Took 4 hours just to change the two front brakes and get this, it cost $600 for it. I wish 0 stars was possible because I would definitely give it to them.This place is a disappointment to the rest of the stores. Very disappointed. 2nd time in past 2 months that have had a very bad experience here. First time, I had an appointment for oil change, fuel filter, tire rotation and alignment , was almost 7.5 hours. Today I'm 2.5 hours in waiting, and the guy behind the desk couldn't find in computer where I bought the tires telling me I don't have free rotation and alignment that i have been getting since I bought the tires and paid for these extra things. I been getting it done since I bought the tires. not a good experience here at all. It's definitely gone downhill and I want be back . Advise to go elsewhere read more

On our trip north on 95 we realized our tires were out of balance and we needed to repair our car. We called Chad at the Firestone Cross Creek location and he was very kind and fit us in for first thing the next morning. We were very happy with our service, our mechanic, and the quick response to our needs. They repaired our car at a low cost and got us back on the road. We were very happy. Very disappointed because I loved the Firestone where I previously lived and this one wasn't terrible until my last visit. I went in for a brake fluid exchange. They come back and tell me I need a new tire and new brake pads. I wasn't able to afford both sets of pads so I did just the front and the tire. No biggie. 1 hour turned to 2 which turned to 3 which then became 6. 6 hours for 1 set of pads and a tire. My car is finally done. Sweet. I drive off and there is this awful grinding noise coming from the front. Mind you, my brakes never made any noise. I call them to let them know and they said it's normal because of some protective layer on the pad. Okay, sounds logical kind of. A week later and this god awful noise is still happening. I bring it in to another shop to have my back pads done since Firestone charged an arm and a leg and they call me back to show me the front. The brake plates in the front were completely bent and rubbing on my rotor. Thankfully I brought it in sooner instead of waiting like I was told to do or that could have caused some serious damage to my rotors. And all of that could have been avoided by just driving my car less than 50 feet. Because there is no way whoever drove it did not hear the grinding noise and thought it was perfectly fine. I'm very disappointed. I wanted to like this Firestone very badly since the other one I always went to was so amazing. read more

They are understaffed and overbooked and continues to take in customers when they know they aren't equipped to handle the flow. This is the nearest auto care store and I've used it for oil changes over the years, but the past two experiences have severely deteriorated my willingness to use this place ever again. Last time, I came when they were busy (although I had an appointment) and I excused the one off bad experience where I waited over 8 hours for an oil change and tire alignment.. This time, however, I also waited 5 and a half hours for them to complete only an oil change. Upon showing up after calling to ask for an update and being told they'd be done in 15 min, I was told they were having a hard time getting my oil filter off and it would be delayed a bit longer. Then, I was asked who did my last oil change to which I responded that it was this same location.. Now I'm having to reschedule my appointment to another day so they can break the seal on the filter and replace it. I will never come back to this location.. read more

My brakes were going bad, I came in to get them changed. Easy fix, right? Well, not when you use firestone. My appointment was at 7am, I have been here 4 hours now. Keep in mind this is normally anywhere between 45min-1hr 15min long process. They spent the first three hours walking around my car and looking to see what else they could suggest to fix. Now that I have denied the suggestions they've started to actually work on the car. I'm still here and it is coming close to 11:20, still have not completed the required work. It's quite sad. They assumed since I am female they would be able to talk theirselves into a 1000 dollar maintenance purchase. Sadly, while I may have a vagina, I also have a few brain cells. read more

My name is Tanies Boykins and I had a bad experience at Firestone Cross Creek Mall I took my truck to them to get a diagnostic my truck never had any check engine lights never had anything it just felt like it needed a tune-up but I didn't want no one to assume or guess what was wrong with my truck so I said I will take it to Firestone to have Firestone tell me exactly what was wrong so I could have got it fixed now when I takes it to them they had my truck practically all day then when I called them to ask them what was taking so long with my truck they stated to me oh the truck have a lot of codes on it I told them how was that possible my truck never had one code on it there's not anything wrong with my truck at all except for it feel like it need a tune-up but I needed to know exactly what it is they stated they do not know but a lot of codes was coming up I knew they was lying then they asked me can they keep my truck overnight first of all how was it that I bring my truck to get a diagnostic y'all have it there for hours then you ask to keep it overnight I ain't never known to take a vehicle somewhere and they say can we keep it overnight I told him that was my only vehicle long story short every since my vehicle left Firestone my truck been riding like I should be taking it to the junkyard to get smashed destroyed and burnt up I called them back ask to speak to a manager and ask them what did they do to my truck a manager told me we did not do anything to your truck I'm like of course you not going to admit it I said but every since my truck came to y'all my truck have not been the same of course he did not admit it but I know for a fact cuz anybody that know me know I take care of my vehicles and I know a lot about my vehicles and what's going on with it my truck never been the same then I take it to another shop because they try to charge me a lot of money so I took it to another shop to get stuff fixed on it because all these codes was popping up that they said I got all the codes fixed the codes still did not go away so we was trying to figure out how come we changing everything that the code saying needs to be changed but the codes will not go away come to find out a bunch of my wires was cut from a harness and each wire that was cut was going to something in the vehicle that was causing the engine light to come on and codes to pop up once the wires was reattached all the codes went away and I knew right then and there it was Firestone because Firestone the only place that had my vehicle for a long time and all of a sudden I have codes that I never had before they are crooks everyone I have told this to said they had bad experience with Firestone and told me you took it to the wrong place they are crooks now on the top of all that money I spent the get stuff fixed now all of a sudden now my engine goes out now I'm fighting to come up with money to get another engine they are crooks read more

So my engine light has been on in my car for some time. I took it to Auto Zone and they did a free diagnostics which gave a code of P0404 which leads to the EGR Valve. I bought an EGR Valve for about $125 and replaced it myself. (Takes about 10-15 mins) Low and behold the engine light comes back on. It has been a year and the wife is bugging me to get it fixed so I take it to Advanced Auto Parts and I get the same code. I take it to Firestone and I tell them what the code is and it leads to the EGR Valve but of course they say they have to do their own diagnostics check which will be $99 right off the bat. They call me back and say they will have to replace the EGR Valve (imagine that) so it will cost me a total of $354. I pick up my car and no light but I just drive straight home. The next morning as soon as I start my car the engine light comes on. I take it back and the guy does another diagnostics check and this time the code is P0401. I google it and it leads to the EGR Valve but it also gives steps to correct I. The event it isn't the valve. I'm no mechanic so of course I leave it since he says they will do an inspection and tell me what it is at no charge. I get called back today and the guy tell me they have to take something off and clean the lines or this and that so it will be another $350. That's $700 total. I ask him What about the $350 I just paid. He said the last time the EGR Valve was stuck closed and needed to be replaced anyway. read more

I received great customer service from Jim this morning. My car had been towed the night before in Virginia and started to make a strange noise after driving it on the highway a few miles. I needed to travel to Fayetteville for a family event so I decided to just get it checked when I got here. I did a walk-in at this location and after about 10 mins of standing in front of the rep who was on the phone assisting another customer, Jim came over and stopped what he was doing to listen to my concern. Turns out that the bumper was ripped and kept getting caught by the tire. He let me know that the issue wasn't something that they could fix at that location but overall I appreciate his customer service. Everything was free of charge. I am only giving this location 2 starts because I noticed that the techs would have long carried out phone conversations and have the customer stand and wait like I did. The woman who was on the phone when I arrived held a phone conversation about tires then the call dropped. Instead of assisting me she was worried about the caller calling back, when the caller did call back the rep answered the phone and continued her conversation. Jim came over shortly after. I've noticed that some of the other techs were putting the phone conversation over the customer in person as well. I'm just wondering at what point do you politely ask the customer on the phone to please hold, or at least acknowledge the customer waiting. read more

I'm not sure what the point is of making an appointment. I made an early morning appointment for an oil change and inspection. My car was visible to me from where I was sitting. The didn't bring my car into the bay until an hour and 10 mins had passed. Then after the oil change and inspection were done I waited an additional 35 mins while my car just sat there. I asked about and they moved it out of the bay within 2 mins. Then I waited an additional 20 mins to get my keys. I'm a very patient person but this is completely inexcusable. read more

I am completely and utterly disgusted with my experience at Firestone - Cross Creek Mall, Fayetteville NC. I had my first flat that required me to use my brand new spare tire, jack and the tools that came with the jack. However, I did not need to utilize the items because my neighbor had a better jack that didn't require as much labor; so I returned all items back in my car, in its rightful designated space because I'm anal about organization. When I arrived at Firestone, I did a dummy check just to make sure everything was in order and took a mental note of how my items appeared before handing off my keys. upon completion, I always check to make sure everything is in order, however I found that my jack and supplies appeared used, dusty almost gritty brown. I explained to the gentleman that worked on my car, that the items did not belong to me, he assured me that he didn't move anything, but I assured myself that I am not a fool, I know my things. I went inside to pay and asked again, what happened to my new jack kindly, the gentleman that cashed me out, said he searched but did not see it; I was livid but trying hard to hold my composure. I told the next gentlemen that tried to assist, I will not debate this, God bless whomever stole my things, obviously they needed it more than I and they will in-fact reap what they sowed. I don't ever do reviews but people should know to be mindful when bringing their car in for service, we would like to think everyone is honest but the truth is they are not. Update: Not only was my jack stolen, I continued to question my spare tire that was placed in my car, I needed to be sure before posting. after some confirmation, sure enough my spare was taken as well. the crazy thing is, even though it was not my shiny black spare, it was still new, never been used, did you get that... never been used, not even by me, for my drive to the shop. Of coarse, I went back the same day and politely requested that they play the tapes for the period of which I was there and conveniently they did not have any cameras, strange for 2020. Here is the kicker, someone had the exact same vehicle as me in employee parking, just about a year or two earlier than mine. again, I'm disgusted. be careful, especially for people with out of state tags, be aware. read more

Scheduled an appointment and the person on the phone swore they could get new tires on and an alignment within 2 hours. I arrived dropped my truck off when they opened and surprise 3 hours later the tires are on and it's still needs an alignment. They said that they were backed up which is weird considering I got there when they opened. Way overpriced at $90 for an alignment. I brought up the time concern at 2 hours and it's been a constant "so sorry just 30 more minutes." Definitely don't recommend anyone to come here to get work done on their vehicle. read more

I leave less than satisfied. I love the work that Firestone usually provides, but this one is absolutely horrible. I scheduled an appointment for a basic conventional oil change and I dropped my car off. When I returned a hour later my car was in the exact same spot with the doors unlocked. The service representative then told me that it would be another two hours. I don't understand what the point was of me scheduling an appointment for if it was going to be 3 hours!!! I wish I could give 1/2 a star. This is a black hole of waiting. With no one in the waiting room it takes more than an hour and a half from appointment time every time. They don't care and won't help. Your appointment is no better than a walk in. They don't care if you're in a hurry or work on commission only. Crappy waiting room with soap operas and dirty archaic bathrooms they may have crank handles. I'm sitting in the waiting room now with one other customer for over an hour and 39 minutes. Now, that's clear language telling you, the customer that you ain't a pimple on a dollar's booty to them. This happened 3 times now so good bye crappy old firestone. If your time time matters to you stay the heck away from this, the "shanty of auto maintenance". This place sucks! I can't believe I have to sit here and watch these chimps work on my company car. Went here today to get my vehicle emissions test. Walked in and there was one person helping another customer. He looked up, saw me, and went back to helping the customer. I thought it was very rude that he didn't at least say, "Hi ma'am, I'll be with you shortly." That's what good businesses do; nevertheless, I overlooked it. I stood there waiting, and waiting, and waiting for him to get finished helping the customer ahead of me. I was trying to be patient, but it droned on for what seemed like an eternity. After about 20 minutes, I walked out. I was never given the courtesy of even being acknowledged. Because of that, I was not going to spend one dime there. I've worked in customer service positions a long time and the one thing I learned early on that I was to acknowledge the customer with a smile. I wasn't upset that he was helping the lady; I was upset that he acted as if I wasn't there. If you want my money, you are going to at least notice me. He didn't, and I didn't give them my business. read more

Bad news? I came out of JC Penney with my three children and my 2014 Chevy Equinox had a flat tire. I panicked. Do I have to call a tow truck? How much is this going to cost? Where do I take it? Good news? I got into my car and rolled it across the parking lot to this repair shop. They were near closing but still took me. I have come to this firestone for about five or six years. Now, I understand that things come up and I would be fine if this were the first time but, it is not. What is the point in making appointments if this company does not go by them? I had an appointment for 2 PM, I dropped my car off at 1:30 or 1:40. I walked the mall for an hour, came back out and my car was still in the same place I left it. After trying to get me to buy more tires, they finally started working on my car at 3:30. Needless to say I will not be coming back to this store again. The customer service is great but, they really need to keep their appointments when they are taken. It is not 4:18 and I am still here, this has happened before and they took $10 off my oil change that time. This seems to be a reoccurring thing. Do not take your car here, or any other Firestone for that matter. I took my car in to get inspected, and it failed b/c of the emergency brake. They told me it would probably cost $25 to "ralign the brakes". I took the car and had a mechanic I know look at it. He fixed it in 5 minutes, didn't even need to look under the car. They also charged me $10 labor to check to see if the slight tint in my windows would pass inspection. Probably took them 5 minutes. Typical national chain that looks to bleed all of your cash from you. I wouldn't buy their tires and I'll never give them my business again. read more

The gentleman named Colin is the only reason this was not going to be a one star review. He was friendly and courteous and was understanding and apologetic when I pointed out that they had messed up on my car for the 2nd time. I will NEVER come back to Firestone even though both of my vehicles have lifetime alignment there! Now the story: On Tuesday my wife called and talked to Mike. Mike promised her that he would immediately go to the warehouse (offsite) and would ensure that the tires we wanted would be on hand for FRIDAY! She was told she had an appointment for 8am Friday and they would start work on the tire change immediately. When we arrive Friday at 7:58 they didn't know we were coming and didn't have the tires on site. They assured us that the work wouldn't take too long and our car should be ready quickly (on Tuesday she was told it would be done by 10am) 8hrs later we received a call saying the car was ready. We picked it up and my wife drove it home. The next morning I drove the car to the store. On the way I noticed that the steering wheel had to be tipped to the right to drive straight. Obviously they had done the alignment with the steering wheel off center. As I pulled up to the store I heard a ticking noise in rythym with the rotation of the tires. I checked the wheels and found that the person that balanced the tires had stuck the balance weights that are held on with adhesive tape, right on top of brake dust. So now 5 out of 8 weights were hanging off my rim and smacking with every tire rotation. I called Firestone and told Colin what had happened. He told me to bring the car in and they would fix both problems right away. So I spent my Saturday with my car at the shop again. Finally Saturday at 450 pm they called to tell me my car was done (again) but they close at 5pm so I'd have to wait until Sunday to pick up my car. So here I am Sunday morning. I just picked up the car, and sure enough they still hadn't cleaned any of the rims so I went back in and talked to Colin. He apologized and has taken it to the back and I am hoping that on the third time it will be balanced properly. So the car has been pulled up to the doors and the "technician " that was working on my car said that it was done. I went to the front left tire, and immediately saw that the place where they stuck the balancing weights was still not cleaned! I pushed gently with one finger and two of the weights broke free! I asked Colin to come look at it, and together we checked all four tires. The only one that had been cleaned before the weights were stuck on was the rear left. Both right tires were now missing their wheel weights! When the "technician " came over and asked what was wrong I told him that the weights were stuck on without cleaning the rims. He said that he had cleaned the rims and that he stuck the stickers on to a clean surface. I reached into where the weights were and pulled out my fingers covered in black dust. I told him he was a F-ING liar and cussed him out. (It may not have been the right thing to do, but I can't stand a damn liar! So he took the car back to try again. Colin is going to watch him and micromanage him in order to ensure he will do it right. So my car has finally been returned to me. The rims are actually clean where they put balancing weights. My final concern is that two tires that needed several weights to balance them yesterday don't need weights today! WTF!!! I'm done with Firestone! How can you tell me that the tire was off balance yesterday but today (with no wear or road time) the tires don't need balancing weights?!?! So for my "inconvenience " they have refunded me 60 of my 890$.... gee thanks... I would rather have had picked up my car, completely correct 48hrs ago as originally promised. Firestone owes me an entire weekend as far as I'm concerned. read more

It just shows me the lack of knowledge or the management does not care the shit they put out! I have never been able to get my tires balanced just once. I don't know what they do, but the first time they put new weights on the wheels, they always fall off within a week. After taking it back for a second time it's usually okay. However, that being said, I have a full time job and you cannot get out of this place in less than 2 hours. So this effectively ruins two work days every time I need one rotation/balance. Also they are the first tire store I've ever been to that doesn't offer free lifetime rotations and balances for purchasing tires in house. I would highly recommend you go anywhere else. read more

Today I had the pleasure of visiting this location and the lady that provided assistance was beyond rude, constantly interrupting me while trying to explain my issue, all I wanted was for them to check the Tire pressure monitor's because they were the last place to do brake work and tire rotation. This had happened previously when I had a tire rotation the guy who was working that day took the vehicle back checked the tire pressure reset the monitor I drove the vechile for about 20 miles light went out. This lady was in such a rush to let me know how much she knew she just kept interrupting. I just stopped talking and let her do what she had her mind set to do because if you continue to try and over talk me I just shut down which was check air pressure and see if the light goes off. While she did that I called Mr. TIRE and they did exactly what I asked in about 5 minutes, which was ensure that the tire sensors were responding and the correct tire pressure, oh yeah it was free versus the 47 bucks she tried to con me out of. read more

So I leave my car with these incompetent people for a week so they can change my starter. I inform the service man when I first get there I need the starter changed since it is freezing up. So a week later I go to pick it up and I get the bill and they charge me 100 dollars for "diagnostics" which I had already told them what I wanted fixed. Then when I get in my car I notice my Aux cord for the radio is missing, all the change has been taken out of my console and my GPS has been stolen. I go and talk to the manager and he says to me we are not responsible for missing or lost items. He says they lock the vehicles inside the bays every night and they dont leave there till the next morning. This means 1 of 2 things. They either left my car unlocked during the day or some clepto that works there stole all my stuff. He says he can submit a claim but it probably will not be reimbursed for. Like are you f-ing serious I leave my car with you for a week and you say you are not responsible.... Needless to say I will never come back again and I would highly recommend taking your vehicle somewhere else! read more
