Wow. I think I now understand why this store has such low-rated reviews. I observed today how jobs were handled, and I can say one thing is certain they are either not honoring your appointments, or they take in lots of walk-ins to maximize their profits or combination of both. I don't blame them for wanting to make money since it's a free market society we live in. Therefore, they are here to make money and not for charity. Having said that my car was still sitting in a parking lot 90 minutes past my appointment time. I was there at least 10 minutes early, so they really took their sweet time. Not honoring your appointments is one of my pet peeves. This happens a lot at doctors' offices, too, as you know, but it's not this bad usually. Another issue that's apparent for some low reviews for this location is they deal with a lot of Soldiers and their Families. Car issues other than routine work like oil changes, state safety inspection and purchasing new tires can be very stressful. Many reviews perhaps reflect situations with emotional highs, and some folks just vent their frustrations like I'm doing it right now. I'll get off my soapbox here. This was my second time getting my cars serviced, and additionally I purchased four tires this time. Easy peasy, right?? Not so much!! Reception was swift and efficient. That probably was the best part. The job took altogether three hours and forty minutes from the appointment time. The "free" alignment test showed significant misalignment, so that was another 50 minutes. Grand total of four hours and 20 minutes??! It was a very nice way to spend my day off, NOT?! In their defense my last oil change experience was very decent--I was in/out within 45 minutes. When I came in for my tire quotes, it was fast--less than five minutes. Came in to get my shock absorbers , control arms, and sway bar links replaced along with a wheel alignment. After driving it back home I hear a clunk coming from the rear just to find the whole control arm and sway bar disconnected entirely as if it was just left there. Not only that they apparently re aligned my wheels but I don't see how (nor feel it) they could do that with this not being properly fixed let alone to not notice it. read more

Never coming back again. An hour and a half for an oil change that cost me $142. And I was the only vehicle there, the bay was completely empty. I also asked them to put air in my tires too and they left all of them at 28 psi and one at 31 psi. Wow. Ridiculous only reason why I went there instead of where I usually go to was because I wanted to use my 10% off Military Star card promotion. But never again, I learned my lesson read more

Same thing as the other comments on here. Service is extremely slow!!! Came in at 7:15 for a nail in one tire. First ones in the door mind you, front desk person was here but technicians were late because of "traffic". An hour later we're told they can't repair the tire because of where it's located...and it took so long because they were behind and working on other cars. WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW!!! So i dropped my vehicle off here to replace my thermostat, i was dreading it due to the fact that i know they overcharged for their services. I had no choice because my vehicle was overheating and would not make it anywhere else so i took my chances. I got the services done and they charged me $1,434. I left for NTC which is a month long field exercise and obviously did not get to enjoy my car for long. When i returned, i drove my vehicle for about 4 days when i realized there was a leak and shortly after my car began to overheat again. I took my car to dodge where they discovered i was given a faulty thermostat and they were able to replace it for $558, so i just sit here and wonder how is firestone going to charge me 3x the cost that dodge themselves will charge me, and give me poor quality. I'll never understand what takes them so long. It's ridiculous. I literally have to plan my whole day around coming here if I need to because I know that they'll take up the whole day. It could be something as simple as an oil change or an inspection. They tell you it'll take an hour but it's always a lie. I came for an inspection and it took them 1.5 hours and the crazy part is there was 1 person in the waiting room. They know they provide slow service too and don't apologize for the wait or anything. I had made an appointment at 0900 to get new tires. I show up early at around 0820. And they see me right away and bring my car right in. I sit down for about 20 minutes before they call me up and say they did an inspection on my car and they found $3978.76 worth of stuff I need done. I only came for tires. On vacation and wanted a fr9nt wheel alignment. But the person at the counter seen my truck (it has stuff on roof racks .I have an 8 feet clearance. But the person told me if i could remove all the stuff up top so they could pull it into the garage bay ? Haha, they had easily 20 foot openings, and the building was like 50-foot ceilings. I want to start off with, yes it's a bit more expensive than other places, however the mechanics at this Firestone location have been nothing but helpful. Originally, I went to a different shop off post to try and save some money and that shop destroyed my trucks front suspension. So I decided to bring my truck to Firestone on two different occasions to get major work done. Both times the work got finished on the same day. Most if not all, if I'm not mistaken of their parts come with a lifetime warranty. Going to this place gives you peace of mind knowing the work you get done is top notch as well as being done by people who care about you and your vehicle. I've read a lot of the other reviews and they are written by people who are impatient or feel they are more important than others. It's a good place with good quality work. Do not recommend unless you have the ability to leave your car for the day. My experience is appointments are simply suggested times. Had a 3pm appointment and at 415pm, my car was still sitting in the parking lot and hadn't moved. The only reason I stayed is because ar the time I didn't have the ability to change the oil myself. Additionally, I was almost hit by an employee doing a road test because he was blazing through the back parking lot in a large government truck. Took car in today to patch a tire 3.5 hours wait time. Let me say that again three and a half hours to patch a tire. The waiting room had at least 12 people waiting. My truck wouldn't start, had it towed to Firestone, and these guys are a joke. First off, they had my truck all day, then brought it in as I was leaving to get a rental. 20 mins later they call me and tell me my engine was basically shot, and they did a "compression test" and they're referring me to an engine shop. Get it towed to the engine shop. From the engine shop guy "I don't know what Firestone did, but your engine is fine, it just needs a few new gaskets, a good tune up, because your spark plugs were fouling, and that's it." Call Firestone back and asked them what the heck they did. The person up front just kept reading what was on the paper, over and over. I told him, yes I understand that you've said that 7 times now, and it's different from what you guys told me on day one. This place charged me $200 for the diagnostic they did. What kind of mechanics shop can't recognize misfires, and do a basic tune up? Finally got on the phone with the manager, who said he'd call me back and get it taken care of. Didn't hear from him. Best bet is to stay clear from this place, they're just there to collect the cash for their "tests" by their "master technicians", who are too lazy to actually fix your car, or tell you properly what's wrong with it. read more

I went to talk to someone about why this took 2 hours when I had an appointment for 3pm and they pulled my car in while I was watching the guy walk outside and tell them that my car needed to be serviced. Not only did two other employees ask me if I was helped, but they went back to the garage to disappear behind another vehicle with the first employee. Today my tire pressure sign turned on so I stopped by here to have them check my tires just in case. My car isn't so fancy and new so it doesn't tell me which tires have lower pressure. Normally when I come here I get a good customer service but today something was different. The guy at the reception area wanted to make me buy a new tire even before checking them just like what Brooke L. said Lol He then almost said he's not gonna check them because I told him I don't know which tire has low pressure. I mean I really don't know.. Isn't that why I'm here? Why can't they just check all the tires to make sure I don't have any hole just like any other time? Isn't that your job? So I'm updating the review based on different experience and different car this time... Here's the story: So I buy my wife a new car. She's from Japan, it's night, we are far away from home. She's uncomfortable driving on I-10. So the salesman says hey, I'll drive it for you, just give me a ride back to dealership. Solid. So off we go... No lie, less than a mile from home (we can see our house) dude slams into a seemingly infamous El Paso style pot hole. I'm like damn. We park the car, take him back. I get home and check the damage. Scratches. And when I turn it's making a clicking sound. Also, tire pressure light is on now. It's from that pot hole, I know it. Call them asap next morning; closed on Sunday's lol. Sooo, no appointment, drive it to Firestone. Walk in and say hey just got a new car, could ya'll do an inspection? No problem. Give em 2 hrs for complete inspection and test drive. Well, guess what? Inside side wall of right rear gashed, losing pressure (hence the TPMS gauge), right front strut and strut mount broke. There's the clicking sound and alignment issue. And he was like dude, did you hit something? I knew then, these guys were on it and thorough. I explained what happened. He gave me a list of what needed to be fixed and a price. It would be 2 rear tires, pressure, balance, strut, strut mount, special order parts: $630. I was like damn.. Well I want to see what the dealer says about it since technically it was their employees fault. But I can't drive with a side wall gash, so I said hey man, just give me 2 new tires on the rear and balance them. No problem. Start to finish I was out before 1700 with no appointment. Best part: dude said hey hold up, he gave me a full print out of the inspection and damages. Then a price quote. Said take it to the dealer and show it to them, and here's my card, they have a problem tell them call me. Sooo, took it to dealer, and of course they were like uhhh we gotta do an inspection see what's wrong. I was like bam, check this paper out. THIS is what's wrong. They reviewed it, still inspected it... And saw that it's true. So what did they do? They said Sir, the total cost for repair is $480, but we would like to offer to pay half and wash it and fill the gas. Yup. Good on the dealer for owning up, but thank you Firestone for being so thorough and helping me out even if it meant they didn't get that extra business and money by doing the strut work. If it's wasn't for Firestone, I would've been paying Firestone, a lot of money lol. They lost this sale, but EARNED my lifetime loyalty as a customer. They are always friendly and pleasant and I'll always go back. Great guys down there. Great services. Great military discount. This is my second review with my second car and second time being there. If I go back again, which I will for something (oil change etc), I'll 5 these dudes again.. And again... And again. Step to them correct, and you'll get treated correct. Simple. read more

Never more than one employee inside the lobby--even before COVID-19. I've been sitting outside by the air hose for a full twenty minutes waiting for someone to spare just ONE minute to air up a tire. The phone in the lobby is repeatedly ringing until the call expires. Several employees have made direct eye contact with me and chose to ignore my presence. This is the LAST time I come here. I don't care how many cars are in the bay; this is not how people should be treated. They're doing their job, yeah? How about attending to my car and letting me be on my way so that I can do MY job? If you want to be lied too go here! Went for squeaking brakes july 15th, they told me the problem was the front brakes and rotors were bad needed to be changed. Told them to do it. The next day they were still squeaking, was told new brakes do that sometimes, it'll go away. Fast forward too today go tired of it and decided to bring it back to have them check it out and they tell me now it's the back brakes and rotors that causing the noise NOT the front that they JUST changed. Trusted my gut and went get a second opinion. Went bring it to Viva Mazda and they tell me the back brakes and rotors do NOT need to be changed. And the problem was that they didn't grease and grind the front ones properly or at all and aftermarket pads will squeak depending on the quality, which obviously sucks. And my brake fluid was BLACK Was never told any of this from the Firestone employees. So thanks for nothing and I should've just listened to the over bad reviews y'all have read more

Noticed a nail in our tire, dropped it off for repair. 4 hours later they told us they couldn't repair it and sold us a $430 tire. My husband insisted on taking the old tire to see if another place could fix it, when he noticed they didn't take out the nail, he pulled it out, it was just the top of an old bolt, the tire wasn't punctured. Took my truck here for the vehicle inspection. Truck failed the first time for the window tint being 18% instead of 25%. I came back a week later after I removed the tint. I go in and tell them I need another inspection but to me if it only failed for the window tint then why do they need my keys again and want to go through the entire inspection again. After waiting for an hr the service tech finally gets around to my truck. He proceeds to pull out of the parking lot taking off aggressively through the parking lot. I called this facility this morning, requesting them to do a VIN verification of my truck - which I have had worked on there before - and spent over $2,000 on at the Firestone at Ft Bragg, NC, and was told this could not be done - that they "didn't do this service" - I am from NC and stationed here on Ft Bliss - the NC DMV instructed me that I needed to have the VIN verified wherever I was at so my NC inspection could be waived. How hard is it to verify that the truck they are working on has the same VIN that is on the registration???? Especially if you are paying them to do an oil change/routine maintenance? Sounds like pure ignorance to me - and unwillingness to be of help in a simple matter. I do not think I will be doing any further business with Firestone at any location if this is their attitude. Women beware. Some of the staff are remarkably rude and condescending to women. Apparently we're too stupid to be able to understand an explanation of what is actually wrong with our cars and won't be given an estimate of cost or possible costs. However when you have them talk to a man about it, the explanations and diagnosis is changed drastically. Suddenly it isn't just "unfortunate" that something is wrong that requires them to drop the clutch out to repair (for which they won't give you a price, but it is just "unfortunate") and then when they talk to a man who is asking the same questions, suddenly they may be able to fix it for $30???
