The South Willow location has a very nice waiting room with a TV which was on the History Channel - great selection for one and all! The bathroom was clean and nicely decorated and large enough for a wheel chair or a stroller. And the woman with whom I made the appointment - Glenda, I believe- was very courteous and helpful! It was my first time dealing with Sullivan Tire. I purchased 4 winter tires and an alinement with the protection package. I sat waiting in the waiting room while the work was done. It was clean. I dealt with Rick on the phone and in person and he was awesome. I took two of the four all season tires with me, as I was told that the other two were not in good shape. The next day we decided that we should have taken all four. I called Sullivan and spoke to Brian and asked him if we could get the other two tires. I gave him the size and he said that he would do what he could to find them in the trailer that had 50 plus tires in it. He called me back within a half hour and said that he had them. Dropped my car off for an exhaust estimate and State Inspection. The technician called me a few hours later with an estimate which was $800 more than any other estimate I obtained. I informed him I did not accept his estimate and did not authorize the repairs. I expected that as they were not doing the repairs and my car would obviously NOT pass inspection they would not do the inspection. Yet they charged me for the State Inspection KNOWING my car would not pass and wasting the mechanics time and my money. Will never take my car to this shop again. read more

Great customer service even when they don't do the work scheduled. My father In law had perfectly good tires on his vehicle and instead of just installing the new set he wanted, they questioned him, educated him, checked his alignment and sent him on his way at no charge. The could have easily just sold the set of tires to him but instead, they did the right thing and told him his tires were in great shape. I purchased some used wheels and snow tires from a VW/Audi owner that should have fit my VW. I had trouble making an appointment as the forecast was for snow in the coming days. Sullivan Tire offered to fit me in even though they were fully booked that day. I really appreciated that. After waiting a bit, they discovered the wheels did not fit and showed me the "hub centric ring" on the back of these wheels which could be changed and carefully measured the exact size I would need. They couldn't have been more helpful. Although I didn't get those wheels and snow tires installed that day their willingness to schedule me and to help with this issue was appreciated. Tried to make an appt on line but since I didn't put a cell phone no. cause my phone is new and I didn't know how to find it, it wouldn't let me do it. Then I tried chatting with Nick and he stopped responding to me. Finally I called and left a message with the problem and my phone no. to call back. That was 3 days ago and they have yet to respond. I'm done with them. Found a place today and called at 8:30. The guy said he would make an exception to fit it in if I could bring it in today. Summary: I don't know about the whole Sullivan Tire chain but the employees at South Willow Street location are not honest and overcharge customers. I have gone to this Sullivan Tire twice. My first experience was to replace my wife's tires and they sold me more expensive tires that had a rebate that made them the same price as the tires I had originally wanted to buy. They said they would fill out all the paperwork so it would be hassle free and the manufacturer would send me the refund directly. After about 6 weeks I got a letter from the manufacturer saying that the tires I bought were not eligible for rebate and I ended up being stuck with no rebate and more expensive tires than I had wanted. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, figuring it was an honest mistake and brought my car there to be inspected. It is an 2001 so I knew it needed some work (breaks, a ball joint, and two tires etc.) to pass inspection. They looked it over and gave me a laundry list of things wrong with the car told me I needed an estimated $2,341.07 worth of work to get it to pass inspection. I took it to another mechanic and he did all the work to meet inspection for only $700. After these two experiences I will not be doing businesses with them again. read more

I worked in Nashua for years and had nothing but exceptional experiences at the Sullivan tire and auto on Amherst street there then started going to the one in Manchester when I switched jobs. This turned out to be a bad idea. I got the feeling more things were going wrong on my 2 cars than normal and as a test (becasue, no being a mechanic, it was possible that I just hit a string of bad luck) I took my car to the Sullivan in Nashua after the South Willow street one told me it had to replace a major part and would run me 1200 dollars. The Nashua Sullivan repaired it for 150$ and when I asked if they thought the same part Manchester Sullivan told me had to be replaced needed replacing, they looked at me like I had 2 heads. It has been running fine for over a year since then. Granted, that was only one experience that I know about but it was enough to keep me from going back any more. read more

I had gone to 2 different Toyota dealerships to address a steering issue in my Rav. The first said it was an alignment issue and did a 4 wheel alignment. This improved problem to a slight degree. Second dealership said steering was fine, thats the way it is. Brought to Sullivan tire in Manchester where problem was quickly diagnosed as an out of adjustment steering angle sensor. After adjustment it steers properly. I also purchased a lifetime alignment package from them as I plan to keep car for some time. read more

My son took his car there a few months back and had the brake pads and rotors replaced. A few weeks later there was a caliper locking up intermittently, groves on the rotors showed signs of a caliper on it's way out. So my son took the car back to them to look at it and after inspecting it, they said the pads moved and weren't installed correctly. A few days later my son went back and I was with him at this point. I mentioned to the guy that I had a CNA nation wide warranty and would cover the caliper being replaced. The guy went off saying those warranties are a rip off and he would have to sell the parts at mfg prices and a few other things. So they brought the car in and said it was a brake hose, but not excepting the fact it was a caliper. I also asked about getting an ac recharged as the system wasn't cooling, and I did mention I tried the aftermarket recharge kit, and he said that would break his machine and then he would charge me $1,200 plus the cost of the recharge. So few days after the brake hose was replaced the caliper locked up again. I ended up taking the car to dealership for an ac recharge and they had no issues and brought my car to another local car repair place and they said it was the caliper and worked with my insurance. I know I won't be going to Sullivan's again as I feel they either didn't want the work or were trying to keep me coming back and doing random things to up charge me. Lesson learned... read more

Had a nail in the tire, dropped car off here to have it patched, showed them the nail and left, got a call an hour later with them trying to sell me a tire and telling me they won't fix my tire because they said the nail was in the sidewall which it wasn't even close, measured it, it's 2 inches into the middle of the tread. I had taken my car to Sullivan tire routinely for oil changes and always received good service. However, when I was having some break problems, it was then I realized the business is not what it seems. I took my car in for an oil change and asked the mechanic to take a look at my breaks on my front left tire which had been making a strange noise. After some time had passed and the oil service was complete, I was told that my break pads, rotors and calipers had gone bad on all 4 tires and needed to be replaced. The technician (manager?) then quoted me a price of over $950 and went on to try and hard close me by saying he could have 3 mechanics on it and have it out within a hour. I declined the service and said I would take a look myself. This is when it got interesting. The Sullivan Tire employee said he could not let me take my car home because it was unsafe to drive. After some lengthy conversation back and forth I had to sign off that I understood the risks of driving and the car that I OWN was released to me. I have had mechanics suggest the car not be driven but never have had a mechanic say, "I can't let you take your car." End of the story - I took my car to a local guy that I know and had an extended caliper on my front left break. The same local mechanic suggested I replace both front calipers (so everything wears evenly), pads and rotors. I did and the job was less then $350. If i could i'd give them zero stars. Brought my car here to fix a tire that had a nail in it. They fixed the tire, paid $45. I soon realized there were scratches on the lower hood of my car that weren't there that came after the employee did wiping a dirty rug on it. I don't often leave reviews, especially for car repair & car tires, but Sullivan tire did a great job not just fixing my tire quickly and correctly, but also making me feel like a valued customer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE I went here in July to have four tires installed and a alignment done not even 3 months later my wife is driving her car to work and she blows a tire the tire blew out of the side wall we went back to this place and the manager tells me that they don't warranty the tire since it blew out of the side wall and he tells me if I had bought the extra warranty then it would be covered which I tell him this is a defective tire and it should be covered under manufacturers warranty he says no and he then tries to sell me a new tire I decline that and just went through goodyear themselves and they did cover the tire I took it to sears where they mounted it for 13 bucks and they also put in the tpms sensor and programmed it all for 13 bucks while Sullivan said they would charge me a extra 50 bucks for all of this they are a bunch of rip off trying to get extra money from people who do not know any better read more

I've been taking my cars here for the last 5 years, they know me name and cars. While I have had two poor experiences the manager, Brian, has always fixed the issue to my satisfaction.
