I had them do both of the used cars I bought and they lasted me forever with regular maintenance. In my experience everyone that works in this facility is honest, fair, they want to help people and they want them to be safe. This is the first and ONLY mechanic shop that I have been to as a woman where I wasn't treated like I was a dunce or less than. The employees here explain things in a way of informing you not persuading you or intimidating you with fear that if you don't complete the job something extraordinarily bad is going to happen. They give you realistic expectations on how much more you can drive until you need to really get it done which helps people that are on a budget. I think the prices are higher on average but the amount of service, attention, and thoroughness you get the price is very fair! I recommend this place to everyone I know especially women because I know how important it is to feel safe with mechanics and not like they are trying to get over on you! I've had my share of bad experiences but never with Christian Brothers! They truly exemplify the name!

They did a complete inspection of my vehicle and emailed me the report, including pictures of the things they found wrong. I had no idea that my brakes were close to being bad, as well. They submitted a claim to my warranty company, but it got denied. That's a story for the review I wrote on that company's page. Luckily, Christian Brothers uses Affirm to allow you to finance your balance due. They walked me through how to sign up for it, and once everything was set, got to work on my car. I am very glad that they provide shuttle service if you live in the area. I took my car in at 7AM, and the work was completed around 4:30PM. I didn't have to sit in their waiting area all that time. I picked up my car and was only gone for about 5 minutes when I received a call from them. There has been some missed communication, and the guys in the shop had not done the alignment I had paid for. They told me to bring my car by any time to get it done. I give them a lot of credit for that phone call. They could have easily pocketed my money without performing the service, but they were honest about it. I stopped by the next morning and they got me right in.

I would absolutely rate this place a 10/10 and would refer anyone to call and speak with him about any issues you may have. His partner was also great (I did forget his name), but trust and believe everyone there will make sure you your issues get resolved but that you leave with more knowledge than you came with.

He now wanted almost $1800 because his technician took so long due to stubborn bolts and numerous breaks. If you have any issues with your vehicle, DO NOT GO TO SPEEDEE ON UNIVERSITY AVE!!! Go to a dealer or anywhere else. If you go here, you'll be cheated and lied to and now my car has an issue with the transmission because the technician dropped something out of the front, probably the torque converter then put it in and sent it out the door. I'm taking this to the NC Department of Justice to have them look at consumer fraud.

They are fast, friendly, they don't pressure you to buy anything to get unneeded repairs, they give you an estimate of the amount of time that you are going to be there and they have enough staff to run the place. I also really like bringing my car here because of the little extras that they throw in when you get an oil change: windows get washed, vacuum the inside, top off the fluids, check the tire pressure and fill those if needed. I'm sure there's somethings that I am missing, but it's great for someone with a busy schedule who doesn't have time to do all that. I wouldn't really have the time to do all of this myself unless I scheduled it. Here, I'm in and out in less than 30 minutes, sometimes 20. Also, they tell me the things that my car needs (the manufacturers recommendations) and I wouldn't know those things unless they tell me. :) I only have one negative thing to say, they are pricey. That's all.

Donnie, Riley, mechanics and crew what a fantastic job and experience. My family, including myself will go nowhere else now for auto repairs. I highly recommend anyone in the area needing an awesome fantastic auto mechanic shop. Your best bet is with Twin City automotive!!! These guys went to bat for me against an awful Ford dealership and won. I had battled this dealership for over a year. Donnie drove an hour away just to pick a check up that day so they get started on my repairs. I don't know any other shop that would do any such thing. On March 12th, I was trying to go to VA to surprise my dad for his birthday. Unfortunately, due to…read morecar trouble, so I thought, prevented me from getting on the road. A loud noise started the day before and proceeded to get louder on the day of my travels. I called John to get it checked out, but shortly after getting air put into my tires (elsewhere), the sound stopped. So, informing John, we thought the problem was resolved, until I proceeded a short distance on the beltway. The sound came back louder. Long story short, God allowed me to get to John and Justin at Old Town Auto Works on Reynolda Road, Winston Salem NC. They identified the problem immediately, finding that it was due to my dry rotten tires. One of which was on the verge of exploding. The issue couldn't be seen from the outside of the tire. Justin showed me how the fibers and the rubber had been worn off and practically bursting at the seam on the inside of my passenger tire. After our discussion, I'm thinking they were taking my car to install my spare tire, instead they installed a tire that was a replica tire of my tire from a junk vehicle they had at the shop. After inquiring of the cost, I was told there would be no fee. John and Justin stayed over time to help me, because the shop was officially closed by the time I reached them. By the time everything had registered in my brain of what they were saying to me and what was done, I left shop's parking lot in full fledge "Ugly Cry" mode. LOL!!! God, John and Justin basically saved my life that day. I am sooo grateful, words can not explain!!! This is just one of the many blessing that everyone at this auto shop has done for me and sooo many others! I highly recommend Old Town Auto Works to everyone. Genuinely, amazing service.
