Decent for oil changes and break services, but I do not recommend this Firestone if you need any other services. I need to preface that I already called and talked to management, who refused to do anything based on my complaint. I brought in my car on Wednesday, July 30th, as it was misfiring and the CE light was obviously on. It was evening, and I was told they'd check on it the next day when their technicians were in. I didn't hear anything on Thursday - cool, they were busy when I brought my car in. Friday, I didn't hear anything, and I called them during my lunch to check in. My car hadn't been examined yet, but they would check on her right after the next car in line. I didn't hear anything until Sunday (8/3), when I get a call that the spark plugs are fouled. I expected that, so I okayed the repair and was able to pick it up on Monday. The car is still a little rough when idling, but does okay on the drive home. I take a short trip a couple of days later, still shaking but okay. Then on Friday, when taking the second trip since getting my car back, she starts misfiring heavily and the CE light comes back. I bring her in that evening. Two days later I get a call, and the technician's response is that my car needs a "software update", and to take it to the dealership. What? When I took my car into the dealership, it starts misfiring right as I'm checking in, so they obviously want to do a full workup. They find that the ignition coils need replacement, the engine is covered in carbon because of the misfires, and because of this, the new spark plugs were dirty and fouled. When I called this Firestone to see why they had failed to notice the ignition coil and carbon issues, as well as address the fact that the new spark plugs had fouled because of this, the manager I spoke to was insistent that they had done their job. He insisted that the diagnostic codes were spark plug-specific, but the codes on the invoice I was provided point to an issue with the cylinder, not the spark plugs. He insisted that the coils checked out fine, and that they recommended a software update because they couldn't clear the diagnostic codes without the codes coming back immediately. Codes that were coming back, because the engine continued to misfire. Not once did he offer to replace the fouled spark plugs because of Firestone's inability to diagnose and repair the issues with my vehicle, he only defended what their shop did. Important context: I have a car make and model that in the last few years, has become notorious for ignition coil issues. I found this out in-between my visits with this Firestone and the dealership. Not recall-notorious, but enough that a different coil and software update was recommended by the manufacturer. Per the manager, Firestone did not feel the need to ever investigate the ignition coils. I had the dealership clean the carbon and change the ignition coils - lo and behold, the codes are not coming back. I still need to replace the spark plugs and was hoping Firestone would fix this due to their error, but at this point I'm going to replace them myself because Firestone refuses to. They're good with oil changes and breaks - it's why I came back for the engine issue. But for failing to diagnose an engine issue, and make petty excuses to defend themselves, I'm not coming back. They gave a time of 2 hours for a repair on a flajob to be completed but didn't get started on it until I called to check on it 3 hours later. I wouldn't have minded going somewhere else if they had said that they didn't have time to do it, they were in over their heads by being busy but they lied and said they could do it. When I called to check on it the staff had an attitude like he hates his job and like they're not getting paid to work. If they don't want the business just say you don't want it or be honest and say you're booked up but don't lie. And if people don't want to work, just quit find something that doesn't make you miserable. This place is not worth your time or money just go somewhere else where they are professionals, I know I will next time, will not be coming back here. read more

My car had to be towed into Firestone as it broke down while driving. I guessed it was my alternator going bad. They did a full vehicle inspection and told me all it was was the battery which didn't make a lot of sense considering my car shut off while in drive. I payed to replace the battery only for my car to break down again a month later. Turns out it really was the alternator even though they claimed there was nothing wrong with it. Do not take your car here unless you want to pay unnecessary money and then have to take it somewhere else to get checked. read more

I called 9 tire and auto repair stores yesterday and none could fix a slow leak. This location offered to squeeze me in today, Sunday, the only store open. They were able to repair a nail leak in the Tesla foam filled tires, which two other places said they did not know how to do it. They were professional, courteous, prompt and reasonably priced. I have purchased numerous complete sets of tires from Firestone for a long time. I went in today with a tire that had a nail in it. I had already removed the tire and wheel from the vehicle. The guy told me that he would not be able to get to it for about 24 hours. He said they had several eight hour jobs ahead of it. I explained to him that a tire patch took 15 to 20 minutes and those were the sort of jobs you worked in between eight hour jobs. He insisted that a tire patch takes 45 minutes. I just picked it up from the auto tire store up the street. They did it in about 10 minutes. Firestone needs a lesson in customer service. The real issue here is that Firestone lied to me. They told me that it takes 45 minutes to patch a tire. Bald faced lie, it takes about 15 minutes. This firestone location is, in my opinion, dishonest. I will never return. read more

Do not go here if you value your time! I have been to Firestone's all over the country and this is the worst experience I have ever had. We had our car serviced in the Spring and needed a new tail light that the Firestone didn't have. We decided to deal with it and left that day without a replacement tail light. Our car was due for an inspection a couple months later so I made an appointment for a Friday and realized we needed to make sure they had the light. When I called to ensure they had it, the guy on the phone said that they would have to order it and the car wouldn't pass inspection without it, so I told him to cancel the Friday appt and reschedule us for when they would have it. He said Monday would work so that's when we rescheduled it for. One thing I forgot to mention is that I have a 6 month old baby and no family in town, so the baby had to come with me for this experience. I was told that the experience for the inspection and light replacement would take 1-1.5 hrs so I planned accordingly with his nap and formula that I brought with me. After almost 1.5 hours of sitting in the waiting area, a guy comes out to tell me that I was right, the car does need a replacement light and they need to order it. WTF?! I know this and told you this and planned the appointment accordingly! He then went back in the garage to check to see if it was ordered and tells me that it was there...so we continued to wait. Two hours pass and I asked him again about the status. He tells me it looks like the service guy was having issues taking out the light but it shouldn't be much longer. This guy disappears for quite some time and then a new guy appears. At this point 2.5 hours had passed and I am livid because it's almost time to feed my baby again and I don't have extra formula to feed him so we are running out of time to wait, not to mention my baby is so upset because his nap in the Firestone completely sucked. I ask the new guy what is going on with my car. He goes to check and tells me he was not sure where the miscommunication happened but they don't have the light and he can call me when it arrives and he can change it for me in the driveway without getting out of the car. This was less than ideal to come back, but I was thankful for him trying to make my life easier with the baby. I go back a few hours later and he changes the light for me as he promised in the driveway. I was happy this experience was over.... however, unfortunately it is not. A week or so later the replace tail light light on my dashboard started coming on again! After inspecting the rear lights my husband and I noticed they put the wrong color light in!!! It should be white and it is now red and we think this is causing the sensor to go off because it's not the right bulb. This has been the most incredibly frustrating experience. Something no one has time to deal with, especially a family with a small child. read more

Back in November I visited the Firestone on Manchester in Kirkwood, MO. I needed some work done on my van, and I generally only go to Firestone due to their numerous locations, ability to look up warranties and constant effort to satisfy my consumer needs. This location is no exception, it just bolstered my reasoning for keeping my money in the Firestone family. Their tires, while sometimes a few dollars more than the rest, are not generic flat prone balloons. I have Bridgestone Pole Positions on my performance Cadillac, an all season grand touring tire on my Subaru, Bridgestone Duravis "which is one tough tire" on my RV/VAN and the wife will have a set of "Stones" on hers when her brand new Duro's wear out. Their lifetime alignment is the best deal in auto work too. Why pay $80-100 each time for an alignment, when you can get them for life at all Firestone locations for roughly less than the price of a two. That's in investment that keeps on giving. I don't foresee needing any other repair shop unless the Firestone company goes under...which I hope it never does. read more

We have been customers of this Firestone for several years and have always gotten excellent service. Unfortunately, I should have written reviews before now but never took the time to do so. However, I feel compelled to do so now based on our last experience. We took my 17 y/o Yukon XL in with an unusual problem that Jeremy was able to solve without replacing the part that they had ordered. Instead of just throwing parts at the problem hoping to resolve it, they worked diligently to really understand what was happening. Turns out it didn't need a new part. The thing that amazes me is that they could have replaced that part and charged us and we would have never known that it wasn't really needed. That is HONESTY and INTEGRITY which seem rare these days. Not only do we receive excellent service but the staff is always friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this Firestone and we will continue to patronize them. read more

Warning! Today we took our car in for a MO Safety Inspection. Our car didn't pass at this Firestone location, and they wanted $800 to fix what was "wrong." My husband had just had his truck inspected in TX prior to moving to St. Louis so this came as a bit of a surprise. We decided to take the car to Bauer in Sunset Hills for a second opinion. BEWARE. This Firestone location does not stand behind their warranties, forgets to put oil caps back on and allows customers to drive off. My car was smoking and looked as if it could catch on fire. No apologizes and still charged me for the oil change. Bought two new tires from here - had a flat in less than six weeks. When I called I was told they were too busy to look at the tire.
