Came in for a set of tires, I saw they had a decent price for my jeep. I dont know the name of the guy who helped me but he was cool and seemed happy to help me out. I cant say if the work was done in an appropriate amount of time or not, because it was blisteringly hot the day I was there so I couldnt leave to walk around (which is what I normally do to kill time) and my phone's battery was low so I really just had to sit and stare in the lobby which of course makes it seem like time is endless. They took longer than they quoted me, but they completely rectified that with their decision to not charge me at all for their services. They also fixed all the above problems. To start off, if it tells you anything, I went here a few weeks ago and I'm now having to go get my car fixed again. They were unclear how long it would take for my car to be fixed. I asked to have it back by the next day, which they agreed to. It took 3 days and me calling them multiple times for updates. They didn't even look at my car until the night of the 2nd day, which was when I asked for it to be done. I also asked them to look at one of my tires because it was losing air faster than the others. They refused to look at it and said it was just from the weather. It's wasn't. I'm getting it patched today because otherwise I have to fill it with air every few days at this point. There's an issue with my suspension that they didn't even notice, as well. I almost picked up my car without them fixing it at one point. I kind of wish I would've. read more

Lee I have a reference number for my complaint with no resolution I received the reference number (2906476) and no one has followed up with me. Again I believe these are predatory practices by your establishment and I plan to follow through to see a resolution. Paying customers deserve to have the issues they pay for addressed and not be subjected to trumped up charges to make a buck instead of just fixing the issue. Came in with a coupon for their $30 oil change and asked them if they could diagnose the source of some bad road noise during their inspection. Since that would require taking the car on the road, I needed to pay $20 for the full inspection not just the complimentary one with the oil change, which made sense. They called that same morning to diagnose a bad rear wheel bearing, which is what I thought it was. Parts and labor were $375. Labor was $129 for 1 hour and the Moog (good brand; should be used for wheel bearings!) wheel assembly was $245. The labor was fair; the parts were marked up by $150 (the assembly is $100 at Advance Auto), which was disappointing. But overall, I (and my go-to car consultant) felt that the overall price was acceptable especially since the work would be completed by end of day. Shop charges were $10. Everyone was nice and polite. And my road noise is gone! Overall, this was a trip to the mechanic that I feel good about. read more

I've had great experiences here. The Outer Loop location is closer to me but the service there isn't exactly friendly. Having a Firestone card, I started going to this location and have been going to this one since. After hitting an ugly pothole Monday night, I noticed my car started pulling to that side. With multiple trips to Northern Kentucky coming up, I decided it was worth it to go ahead and get my car looked at rather than risking it. I called the store and spoke with Mark. He was able to get me an appointment for the same day. After a thorough inspection, they corrected my alignment and also hammered out the wheel frame that was also bent. Instead of pushing me to replace the wheel frame at that moment, it was put on the rear of my car. I left with the knowledge that I'm safe driving my car and that the wheel base can be replaced in the future. I like going to this location because they are upfront and honest about repairs that are needed. If it's not 100% necessary at that moment, the employees will give you an estimate of when it will need to be repaired. I know that before I get my tires rotated again, I will need to replace the wheel. I appreciate the honesty and I will continue to frequent this location. read more

This place is just insane, if I could give "zero" stars I would. Very incompetent staff. I've been waiting for over an hour and the employees (4 I counted) plus the guy who is a cashier just chillin' by one of their cars turning it on and off... WHAT THE HELL!?? My time is not important?? There are 7 cars "being taken care of" and nobody working on them, including mine. When I approached one of the cashiers to inquire about why it is taking over two hours (yes, time went by before I made a big deal about it) for a tire replacement his answer was: "we have to bring the tire from another store".... wait, what? Nobody said that to me neither I had the time to wait for it!!! Oh, and the manager is sitting in his office with his cute red polo, prolly on FB. I am attaching pictures of it. Upon leaving they didn't returned the wheel lock, and when I asked for it they had left it attached to the rim!!! Wow, this was certainly my last visit to a Firestone dealer, what a FIASCO! Well I just wasted about six hours with this place. At one time they were pretty good and I was a loyal customer but now I don't know. I scheduled an appointment on Wednesday to get my car looked at Thursday. This place is usually too busy to take an unscheduled drive up. So I schedule online and "Tim" calls me back to say they're not open at 6am. I know this because one time I scheduled a 6am appointment ant there's a guy in there behind the counter and won't open the door. So anyway Tim tells me I'd have to drop my car off Thursday morning but it won't be looked at until Friday because they only have one diagnostic guy and he only works 8 hours Monday through Friday and he already has an 8 hour job scheduled for Thursday. So I ask well then why can't I drop it off Friday then? Well he says to make sure I get it looked at on Friday. So I ask in order to get it looked at Friday it has to sit untouched all day Thursday? He says yeah, so I ask if you have one diagnostic guy and he's booked for 8 hours Thursday and only works 8 hours, why then do I need to leave my car all day Thursday when we both know it won't get looked at? He has no response. So I confirm that I will drop my car off at 7am Friday. Friday morning I drop my car off with someone other than Tim and walk home in the cold and snow and wait for the call. The call comes at 1pm with Tim telling me they couldn't look at the car. (It wouldn't surprise me if Tim was the diagnostic guy). I guess that 8 hour job turned into a 14 hour job. So I walk back and collect my keys and drive home a lot more frustrated than I already was. Like I said, this place used to give good service. I also notice that everyone has changed since I was a regular here. Maybe it's time for them to clean house. Or just shut this place down and save what's left of their reputation. read more

After calling and making an appointment, and making sure they would have the tire I wanted, in the size I need, I arrive on time, and after taking my keys and pulling the car into the shop, they come over and start trying to sell me a more expensive, yet not comparable model. After telling then I want the tires I requested, they tell me the don't have them. Let me begin my review by saying, I only go here for tire issues. Flats, replacements, that's all! Nothing against this business or any other type of business like this. Some car work I can do on my own. Other car work I like to take to a dealership or a local mechanic instead of corporate tire/maintenance place like this. For tires... this is a good place to go. The staff has always been nice. When something goes wrong with a tire, I always expect to replace the tire. Even when I go here & tell them let's patch it or replace it... as long as it can be patched, then they patch it. So the honesty goes a long way. Some places could definitely take advantage of their customers but not this place. It wouldn't have been anything for them to just replace the tire & charge me more, but they never do that as long as it can be fixed. I did take off one star because when going here, you will wait. I normally set an appointment. With that being said, I'm still there for 1-1 1/2 hours. Not a huge deal, but I've heard other walk-ins having to wait for 3-4 hours(depending on what they're having done of course). This is a very busy location, so the earlier you go the better off you are. If you do have a lengthy wait time, be prepared to walk somewhere in downtown & grab a bite to eat. For the foreseeable future, this will be my place to go when I need new tires/flat repair. read more

This review is the the East Broadway location in Louisville. I have a home in Dallas, TX and one in Old Louisville. The Dallas Firestone team is awesome and very caring. The East Broadway Firestone is full of rude uncaring technicians. They sometimes didn't follow through with their commitments to complete my scheduled work requests and have no problem telling I needed to come back the next day like I don't have a life, job and other responsibilities. I personally believe one of their workers who I experienced as a spaced out, rude jerk intentionally did something to my vehicle to make fluids leak into the engine, I have been unable to drive that car since. So I am from out of town, traveling with my daughter and I get check engine, trac off, and 2LO lights on in my Tundra. I had read that disconnecting the battery and reconnecting would clear the lights. I called and spoke with Nick and he said to drop by and they would take care of me. Brian and Mark really saved my friends and I today. After popping one of our tires 4 hours away from the airport we had to be at, we were really stressing how we were going to get home. When we first arrived we had explained our situation to them, and they had told us that our car would be ready by 6; very close to the time our flight had to leave. We sat in the waiting area very anxiously, and no more than 30 minutes later they gave us our keys and wished us luck in catching our flight. Because of the wonderful staff at this Firestone location, I had a bad situation turn into a good outcome. On my way to work, my scrape plate began to drag after a recent oil change performed by a different establishment.This Firestone was within 1 mile of my job and I did not want to ruin the part. I was told the staff that they must not have secured the part after the work was done. This happened on a Saturday and that they would be able to take care of me. Not the cheapest since it's a chain, but that's to be expected. Had a great experience with a mechanic named Troy, diagnosed my problem quickly on a Sunday morning and had the car ready to go by noon. Could have gone in for a full head gasket replacement given the issue (bad oil and coolant leak from the block), but he quickly isolated the problem as a valve in the front of the block and a worn coolant hose, much cheaper than it could've been. Turned out upon inspection of her car, she was desperately needing 4 tires along with brakes and rear rotors. I didn't know how we were going to be able to cover all of what she needed. I was in Lousiville for one night with a 9 hour trip ahead of me. My front right tire had a slow leak that I had to fill twice the night before. Firestone was near the hotel. I explained my situation. They had my car for two hours and eventually told me there was nothing wrong with my tire. I again explained my experience from the night before. The manager went back to look at things. He told me there was no leak and the tires were fine. He said they were all underinflated and they put air in all of them. He did not charge me for this service. Within a hour out of Louisville the next morningthe right front was flat again. I got home with Fix-a-flat and prayer. I guess I was wrong in assuming a tire shop would know how to check a tire for a leak. Certainly,in retrospect, not this one. read more

I'm shocked at the poor reviews for this location. I was recommended this place by my brother who worked nearby at the time. That was almost 10 years ago. I got new tires there and had sporadic work successfully done there for years until I got a new car which is still under warranty. The work was always at a fair price and I found the staff pleasant. Yes, it would be a wait but that is often the case with car/tire repair so I would often drop off my former car and leave the key with instructions. They would always call me the next day with ways they could fix it and price options to get the car back in shape. And the prices were good, comparatively. I have sent several friends there and they still currently use this location. They too find them efficient and reasonable. Once my current car gets older I too will use them again should I need maintenance or tires, etc. read more

I dropped my car off because it was not starting and they have been pretty thorough with me calling me and giving me updates only to find out that apparently my car forgot my keys code and I asked how does that even happen and they were not sure which is fine but it's $100 to inspect my car and then it was another hundred dollars to re-program a key and they never took it out on a test drive which is weird because I feel like if you're having trouble starting a car you would take it on a test drive to make sure everything's good so I went to go pick up my car and the guy told me as he brought up my car that he wishes that he took it on a test drive because my brakes sounded crunchy and that something that should be looked at and he wish that he would've taken the car on a test drive so he would've known and they could've looked at it. And the part that bothers me is I'm a full-time student and I also work full-time so I don't have random hundred dollars to throw out to get my car just looked at so it's kind of irritating that they didn't test drive my car while it was already there and I was having trouble with it starting in the first place I think next time I'm just going to have to find a mom and pop shop to have my work done at. read more

Have us Firestone for years and now wouldnt never go back and no one else should have had nothing but bs in my last 5 visits yesterday took my truck to the outer loop store to have four tires put on and told it be ready at 7 pm at 7:15 call and was told that the tire was mounted but I had a lot of lug bad and it wouldn't be ready till ten the next day so I show up and nothing had been done and they wasn't even working on it after waiting for a hour I told them put my tire back on I go somewhere else and then I was told the lug nuts was bad and they was tapping them to put back on after 2.5 hours I got to leave The time before I took my truck back to have the front in check and was told it would be ready my noon at six oclock I call and was told that they could check my front alignment that they could lift my truck so I ask the guy then why how come I was sold a lifetime alignment if they could lift it well he didn't no what to say so I had to go to two other locations to get it check Then the time before this I took my 2012 truck in to get it tire rotation and front in alignment and drop it the night before and was told it be ready my 11 at 4:30 I call and it still wasn't ready at 6:30 I call back and was told it be done till tomorrow and again this was supposed to have a alignment but they could lift it but didn't tell me this they just act like they did it Ok will give you one more reason not to use this store took my 2018 ram in to have tire balance and rotated and front in alignment done got a call was tow I needed two tires and was charge for the alignment that they couldn't do the tire had over half the tread left on them just trying to sale me tire and did sale me a alignment that they couldn't do They only thing I can say if you go to them for anything you a bigger dumdass than I am for every going back to these theft because that is what they are this morning why I was waiting watch then take a lady car and put it on the alignment rack and he when in the back room for 15 minutes the came back out and back it off the rack and not touch it at all they a simple thief don't trust them read more

Disappointed. Have been coming for years and recommended this Firestone to friends and other business owners. This morning I came in with a flat on my way to work. The receptionist was busy on a phone call asked me to wait. No problem. It is 30 degrees out, after waiting 10 minutes I went to my truck and got my dogs. Went into Firestone and waited off to the side. She told me she was going to ask me to leave because my dogs were acting aggressive. They we're standing by my side, of course on leashes, not running around not barking not jumping. I told her it was too cold to leave my dogs in the car and asked if she was ready to help me so I could walk to work. One of my dogs is a small American Staffordshire terrier with cropped ears and gets judged constantly. She said she was going to ask me to leave. I told her I just wanted to drop off my truck and go on my way. Needless to say without any actions on either dogs behalf, she asked me to leave entirely based on my dogs appearance. When I told her that she was losing a good customer who services a business through Firestone. She stated that she didn't care and had other customers. read more

I live in Chicago area and my daughter is in grad school at UofL...so when she called all distressed about her car not starting I thought I'd be driving 6 hours to help her out. Luckily I found Firestone. They were so helpful! I spoke with Mark there and he assured me they could take care of the car. And they did. I will definitely have her take her car there again for oil change or any maintenance! They put me at ease and within 24 hours she had her car back. Whatever you do , do not take your car for repairs. My husband took his car in because it was hesitating. Diagnostics was done to determine the problem to the tune of $1300 which we said OK fix it. Few hours later call came that we had blown head gasket and come get the car they could not fix. Arrived checked out got in the car and it would bearly move. Mechanic and my husband got in a heat discussion on why we got car back in worse shape. No good reason other than that coolants was showing in engine. We drove a mile and half doing about 5 miles a hour to the dealer and parked it because it was the weekend. On Monday dealer determine that gasket not blown but that Firestone diagnosis of head gasket was incorrect but that the original diagnosis that 5 sparks wires need to be replace was the cause. Of course the dealer charged $ 1600 which we did. Filed BBC complaint with customer care asking for rental car expenses and the difference of dealer repair which they should have been able to take care of. We were only offered the one day rental car. Customer care is a big fat JOKE. read more
