I've been a loyal customer of this Firestone for years, but something has changed. In the span of a few weeks, I spent over $3,000 between brakes and rotors, tires, a state inspection, and eventually a no-start repair that included a new battery, spark plugs, and an intake manifold gasket. My frustration isn't that my vehicle needed repairs. It's that my vehicle was inspected multiple times during those visits, yet I still ended up stranded with a car that wouldn't start. Then, after paying for the brake work, the brake warning light came back again. At this point, I've lost confidence in the quality of the work. I'm now paying the Nissan dealership to perform an independent inspection because I need to know whether these issues were properly diagnosed and repaired. They didn't perform the services that I had scheduled and tried to upsell me on new brakes when my vehicle didn't need them. I was there for over two hours for them to tell me that they couldn't finish the job because my lug nut caps were swollen. My regularly mechanic had no problem with the lug nuts and verified that I didn't need new brakes. Don't go there, they're dirt bags. read more

AWFUL. Firestone has long had a history of "padding charges". I brought my car in to be checked because the muffler was making a lot of noise. They tried to convince me that I needed a new catalytic converter and gave me an estimate of $3000! I brought the car to a competitor and it was fixed for $496, 1/6 the price they quoted me! They're either so neglectful or evil I had parts of the car loosened. I got a second opinion from a mechanic and he believes they broke my car on purpose. Completely unsafe!! We scheduled a 9:00 AM appointment to have THREE cars inspected, knowing this location closes at 6:00 PM. When we returned at 4:30 PM, not a single car had even been touched. To make matters worse, my husband called at 11:30 AM and was told the cars would be "done soon," which was clearly untrue. Not only was our entire day wasted, but there was no apology, no accountability, and no explanation offered when we arrived. If this location cannot handle the workload, then they should not schedule appointments. Our time is extremely limited, and we specifically planned this for the weekend -- only to have it completely squandered. This was unprofessional, misleading, and incredibly frustrating. Brought my truck in to get four tires mounted,balanced and new valve stems. When I went to pick it up I noticed that the valve stems were not replaced and I was charged for it. They did bring it back in and replace the valve stems. Check to make sure you are getting what you paid for. read more

I had booked a noon appointment on line for an oil change.(arrived 15 min. early as suggested) When i arrived, i was told it would be about an hour or a little more since they only had one lift that would hold my 2017 Ram 2500. No biggie i said. I walked to the pizza joint in the same plaza and had a nice long lunch. Well, Still hadn't started the truck. Move forward to 4:45!!!!! when it was done. That's right! 5 hours for a simple oil change and tire rotation!!!! That is totally ridiculous. I bought tires from this same place in Jan. for same truck and was in and out in 1 1/2 hrs. The service to my car was 5 star but my experience was unfortunately reduced to less than a 2 star by how I was treated. Within a hour they had aligned my tires. The technician explained what was done and was very helpful. Great service! Things changed however when I was checking out. Mr. Oke Gogoh came out to assist with the line that was developing. He said "next" and motioned for the man in front of him to come to the counter. I thought Mr.Oke didn't realize that was I was next in line and had been waiting longer so I spoke up and said "I'm next actually, I just need to check out". Mr. Oke asked Nick and Nick confirmed I was next. When I approached the counter the first words out of Mr. Oke's mouth were "That was Rude." I was startled by his words and said "Excuse me?". He repeated "That was Rude." I still bewildered replied "I'm sorry. I assumed you would want to attend to the next person in line". Mr. Oke only replied more adamantly "That was Rude." Disturbed by this treatment I replied " I really have no problem offering my spot to the next person in line" and that is exactly what I did. The next client profusely refused my numerous invitations for him to go next, he said he had no problem waiting his turn. When I return to the counter Mr. Oke did not look or say another word to me beside " you total is $154.00". Literally that was all he said to me... "That was rude" three times and "Your total is ...". Who is this guy? The manager apparently. Is that why he felt he could speak down to me? The service at this Firestone was excellent but the treatment Mr. Oke was highly unprofessional and uncalled for. I hope this type of treatment never happens to anyone else. If I come back it will only be with my husband just in case I have to deal with Mr. Oke. He would Not have spoken to me in that way if my husband were present. read more

Been going here for many years with no problems. Last week (July 17, 2025) I made an appointment for a NYS inspection. They performed an inspection and told me what work was needed to pass. Had the work done. After I got home and noticed the inspection sticker was 2024 not 2025 I called them. They explained they did a Firestone inspection, not NYS inspection. They charged me for this incorrect service, and I was made to feel it was my fault they did the wrong inspection. I doubt I will ever use this Firestone again. read more

First time at FireStone Newburgh (41 North Plank Road) , .Replacing 4 tires. Pricing a bit on the high side but thats not really the issue. Customer service is a lot to be desired. Older gentleman at desk not customer friendly. Seems a bit rude but i will chalk it up to having a bad day. In business the first impression is everything. nice and clean inside. I like that they have a glass door so you can watch your car. came in with new wheels and asked them to install them with the new tires. Came in for snow tires, they had them ordered and ready before the appt. They they got to my car at the appointed time. They are nice. I would recommend a new TV and maybe some curtains because its so bright out the contrast hurts my eyes while looking at TV lol. read more

Christmas Day .... nail in tire. We had holiday ruined. Next day, Needed the tire repaired! That's it ..... the manager tells me 2 hours to get it in the building, up to 4 hours to get it completed. I told him I wasn't from here asked for other options ....not real helpful. I then asked him if he was the manager and of course he was - big ego. He then sarcastically said Merry Christmas. I took my jeep there for a loose "parking brake" cable. After waiting 2 hours...I returned to pick up my vehicle. The cable was still not fixed.The mechanic even blatently lied about doing the job. I had to wait another hour to ensure the job was done. The desk service guy, gave me 2 free oil change coupons to cover the mishap.He apologized for the obvious. Its been 2 years and I refuse to go back to them....even for the free oil. The brake was an easy fix and not reason enough for dishonest business practices. read more

They said i need new tie rods when i went for an alignment. for $900 bucks. yeah right. almost 450 for labor and 450 for parts. bought the parts for $100 when i went to get them replaced. my mechanic said they were in good condition. long story short, they tried to get me. they try to thief you and to tell u need this and that when in fact all you need is an oil change. they think they slick. and im sure a lot of people fall for it all the time and its sad. they suck. dont go to them. just typical scammers. think twice before you go there. just go to local mechanic. ill go elsewhere for the alignments for now on. read more

I had a busted coolant hose fixed here which took 4 days to order part/do work and an hour after I picked up my car a check engine light came on, thinking something may have gotten wet with coolant when initial hose broke, I reset check engine light and kept it moving. Light came back on pretty quickly so I brought it back to firestone where they told me what it was but said they don't deal with that there but to take it to dealership where warranty would possibly take care of it, low and behold there is no warranty left on my vehicle, so I brought it back to firestone to at least get some clarification and guidance, they came up with same error code and would not take any responsibility in the matter. I just found it hard to believe that the repair and check engine light were not related but I was met with an incompetent service manager who told me how could I ever believe the 2 issues were related and my check engine light is likely what caused the coolant house to break in the first place...however circling back to beginning I NEVER had a check engine light on until they "repaired" my car! I'm disgusted by the lack of accountability and responsibility from a well known reputable brand. Would never take another one of my vehicles here, should have known better! read more

Ive had so many issues over the years with these guys. Went in on Monday, paid for an inspection and for them to top off my fluids and they didnt give me an inspection sticker or top off my fluids. Had an appointment for them to change back window wiper, they again failed to order the part on time so I couldnt get the work done. update: Less than a week later after my oil change I had to to to mt dealership because my car was leaking oil. Firestone did $300 worth of damage from their improper oil change! DO NOT GO HERE. Will be looking to get reimbursed because I have proof of their mistakes!!! read more

I went to the Firestone Autocare with the intent of receiving a full tire alignment since I put new tires on my car. Only the front wheels were aligned. It wasn't until I went to go pickup my car, the technician briefly tells me that the solid axle on my car doesn't allow for a full alignment, and I would have to go elsewhere to have it completed. Then proceeds to ring me up for the full cost of an alignment. I never received a phone call to update me on the issue with my car. This wasn't brought to my attention until after my vehicle was all serviced. The technician refused to take his time to detail explain to be why? I don't know a lot about cars so I had a few questions to ask. He got upset at the fact that I was asking questions. All in a huff he starts to explain why. As if I'm inconveniencing him. I asked him what no one called me to tell me this prior to me showing up? He said the technician did the best they could. I understand that, and I proceeded to ask him why am I being charged for a full alignment when only the front was done? He said the best was done for my vehicle. I asked was it possible for Middletown Firestone to fix my rear alignment? He said what are you not getting? In a very disrespectful manner, as if I'm incapable of hearing him or understanding what he is saying. At this point he's being extremely rude, and disrespectful. He's proceeds to get upset and tell me to take my keys and leave! He doesn't have time to deal with me. I feel extremely disrespected. No one should be treated so rudely by a corporation when the person being disrespectful is apart of the problem. Someone should have called me to update me on the issue with my car prior to services being completed. It was not brought to my attention nor shown anywhere that if I had only the front alignment done would I be charged for the full amount regardless. Good Tires. That is all. The wait time is horrendous. The guy in the front who took "care" of me named Richard, was not completely honest with me and rude on the phone. At first he said they didn't have the time to do an inspection (rudely), and then his coworker said, "we have an hour left, and the mechanic will be done with his current job in 15 minutes so we can fit him in". This right off the bat told me All Richard wanted to do was get out of there instead of help the customer with an inspection an HOUR before closing (maybe he wanted to close early, I don't know). After 20 minutes, He told me I failed my inspection because of my tires, so I wanted to look at the tires and hear the explanation from the mechanic myself. My tires were worn, and after hearing the explanation from the mechanic I specifically asked both him and Richard if the tires were the only reason that I failed, they BOTH said yes. As Richard and I went back to the front, he assured me that with new tires installed and if came back on Sunday I could get my inspection passed. Under the premise that the tires were the only reason I failed as they told me, I bought their $150 tires. Richard also kept relentlessly insisting that I pay the $70 dollars to have them put the tires on when I have a guy who will do it with balancing and everything for $30. It wasn't until AFTER the fact that I purchased the tires that Richard told me "he just noticed I failed emissions because my sensors weren't ready to be read" because of a part I previously replaced that required me to disconnect the battery. They ripped off my sticker and sent me home. I called them the next day, and Richard picked up. Richard was rude when I explained that my check engine light finally came back on. When I told him that I wanted to get my diagnostic at FORD then bring the car to firestone with the diagnostic to get the car fixed, he insisted that his diagnostic was better than FORD motor company's, the company that made my car, which is a blatant lie (and the point when I realized he wanted to rip me off) to make a hundred dollars for a diagnostic and whatever bull he would come up with that didn't need to get fixed. This was one of the most disgusting experiences I've had at an auto shop. read more

Avoid this place like the plague! They don't know how to align wheels properly. They do not have a clue what the toe #'s mean on the print out and will ruin your new tires prematurely and with uneven wear in just a few weeks or months. That's what happened to our new tires that were supposed to last 70k mi. They lasted 20k and were all wearing very unevenly even after multiple wheel alignments at their shop. The alignment #'s were all off and they claimed they were within factory specs but they were all over the place with negative toe on one side and positive toe on the other which means your wheels point to one direction, both to the left or to the right, and the tires got ruined. Their techs are not trained properly and do not know what toe-in and toe-out mean. Stay away if you value your tires or get an alignment elsewhere!! read more

Years ago, this was the absolute WORST Firestone (horrible wait times, inflated prices, rude, pushy manager) and I would actually drive all the way to Poughkeepsie to get the car worked on instead. BUT, on the advice of the Poughkeepsie service center, I gave them another chance because I was told they now have new management and I can say that the difference is amazing. Quick service, car was taken in on time as per my scheduled appointment, helpful, friendly, professional, polite staff, everything was explained to me, didn't try to add extra stuff to my service, etc. - I had a great experience and would highly recommend this branch now. read more

I was very disappointed by my last visit at Firestone Autocare. The serviceman seemed annoyed when answering the phone and often let the phone ring for a long time. When they told you to come into the store and could take you in "right away" that was code for plan on waiting for 2 hours and don't expect kind service while you wait just watch our tv or drink the old coffee.
