Called to make sure they had the tired in stock. Yes they said. Made an appointment to come for the tires. When I got there I asked if they had them . Yes! The computer said they had 4. Over 2 hours later they said, the computer said they were in stock but we only have 1!! Gave me 15% discount and had to get cheaper tires!!! Keep In mind!@ cause I can't speak all bad about them, the service actually help, when everything was running smoothly. It wasnt until a problem came about that I saw the real morality of a company as such. You see, firestone is an affiliate of Bridgestone tires, basically like its queen. On July 21st of this year which is my Emergence Day, I was driving my 2016 Dodge challenger, sitting at arond 94,000 miles at the trime. A car that had never given me any problems and the only maintenace done on it up until that point where reg 3-4 months oil chances and tires rotations and alignments. All of which have been performed at this particular firestone over the course of the last 4 years. On this day after leaving the barbershop and going to the grocery store, i noticed that im having the push in further on the brakes to come to a complete stop. I myself deduce that it probabyly just time to look at getting some new brakes, because like i said. Ive never had any works done on this car to date. Well after leaving the grocery store and attempting to backout, i realized even with my foot on the brake and to the floor, once the car was placed in reverse,It just took off. Luckily the Emergency brake was still response, seeing that i almost backed into someones car. I proceeded to drive the distance from my local winn-dixie to firestione, which is the course of maybe 3 miles, using only the ebrake. Upon getting there, my car is received and ran diagnostics on, in which the clerk calls to tell me the oil was found in my brake-lines. This of which left me boggled because now im wondering how is oil even there. Oh!!! Now keep in mind, I'm not saying a lil oil, NOooo!!! im speaking as in the oil was coming top off in the system. Now up until this point, my last day of service at firestone had been in March of 2021 and i had driving this particular car at a steady rate, going back and fourth to work. Only because my other car which is an 2003 Honda accord, also had deadened out on me. This too beiing a car serviced at this particular shop. And when i say died, i mean this car literally only drove a 100 miles after leaving their shop. A car i had been previously playing tick-tak-toe with taking too work. So long story surmised. I received a call back, and basically was told the issue they saw, but it was nothing they could fix, so i had to come pick up my car and had to once again chance it and drive a mile down the road to a dodge dealer, who pretty much gave me the same results. Only prob with the results was not getting the car fixed, it was the overally work and price. You see people, if your car should ever need its entire brake system replaced, thats where we get in the big $$$$$$$.... I was quoted at $5200.00. Sad thing being as seeing as this is when covid was booming and jobs were suffering. Car rentals decided, hmmpph!! Lets jack our rates out of proportion, to where you was paying almost 150 a day for a compact....i ended up filling a claim with bridgestone and having to go to another state a borrow a family members car which i still have until the holidays coming up and i can return it. Bridgestone responded after weeks of calling and basically decided they were going to deny my claim, on the basis of the guy thats the manager or head-clerk stated that, they didnt mix oil into my brake lines. Now keep inmind this is the guy, who liteally stands there, asks you for your information and gets your keys. i have yet to see, one of them go in the back and grab a set of tools and help with a job. They literally do nothing pertaining to repairs, they're jobs is actually to come and get you if a problem is beleived to be there and offer you one of the services. The company that if i was to go in and pull my records shows they have serviced my vehicle over the course of the last 4 years, 2-3 times a year. A company by which, if you walk into this particular shop, you literally see a new person working in the back on cars on a reg basis. One the has a now hiring sign stamped on the side of their business, because of the turnover rate. They chose to take the word of this particular person, becasue they didnt want to reimburse me for the damaged deone to my car, a car by which, I had to reaplace some of the parts with generic brands, because guess-what. Most businesses are running short on iwu was to go and look up, how often a cars brake systems fails alltogether, you would see that its a very rare occurrence. The main ways leading up are people placing the wrong fluid in the system. And seeing that, after receiving my car until now, i have yet to get a oil chance and the car still run fine. Now im in a position of where im being forced to look into legal matters to get my money returned, and banned myself from ever using firestones servirces and deals, bacause ive come to see their position on customer loyaly and deication. Firestone was a lifesaver when I got a flat tire on New Year's Eve. After finding a nail in my tire while driving to South Carolina, I called all over Oxford/Anniston and was so happy to find that Firestone was open despite the holiday. They helped me to get a new tire quickly and for a good price, and they put my spare back in place. Also, they're pet friendly so I was able to bring my dogs inside while they worked on my car. I really appreciated how kind and friendly they were during what could have been a very stressful time. I don't live in the area, but will definitely be back if I ever have any automotive needs while on the road. read more

I called with a bit of a different car emergency, I imagine. My son's car was broken down in GA and I needed to get the Car back to the Birmingham, AL area, without paying a fortune (received a quote of $ 716.00!) Everyone from my Road Assistance company (AAA) to the Oxford, AL Firestone location was great in helping me to devise a plan to use my 100 mile tow allowance to get the car back, free. I will definitely be considering an AAA upgrade to Premiere...but this is about Firestone!) Justin, who answered my call, assisted me by agreeing to do what I needed done for the Tow to be broken up into 2 Parts! Thank God for Justin and for the Oxford location being open today so that I could finalize a plan today and so that I didn't have to wait and worry about what I was going to do until tomorrow. Aside from having to go back 3 times to have alignment redone after buying 4 new tires with a 4 wheel alignment and having an appointment every time and still having to wait an hour...car was still not aligned!! It was aligned however with the old tires before my initial appointment. 1st day-bought 4 new tires and an alignment. Got in car to go on a 150 mile round trip and within a mile noticed that steering wheel wasn't straight while driving straight. And my car was pulling to the left. Turned around and went in to tell them, they said to leave it with them!! I told them I had an appointment out of town. So they carried it back in to realign! Still the same, so I made another appointment for the next morning when they opened. 2nd day - realigned and changed two tires on front for new ones, saying possible radial pull. That was after an hour wait to just pull my car into shop and an hour in the shop. Manager called me into the shop saying one of my wheels had an "event". The wheel did have a crack in the inner lip that had been there for the last 4 years. So they tried to say that was causing the pull. But just to be sure they'd put it on the rear driver side instead of the front. My question was, why was I not told the day before about the "event" if it would cause an issue with their new tire? Same tech as the day before had no answer, and assistant manager said he should've told me!! Drove away and had this issue, while accelerating my car would pull to the left and while breaking it would pull to right!!!!! So I called and made yet another appt. 3rd day - after another hour wait with an appointment they had their "senior tech" to do yet another alignment. But while my car was in there I got on google and noticed people with similar issues, and they're problem was air pressure. So I spoke with the manager and asked him to check or have someone to check the pressure in all tires. He said he would. Well the steering wheel was now straight and yet same issue when I left. They told me that they'd fixed the issue which was I had bolt missing from my rack and pinion!!! But they had nothing to do with that, but they didn't charge me for fixing a pre existing issue!!! Whatever!! The bolt may have been missing, but I haven't had any issues for anyone to have dropped my rack! So I checked the tire pressure myself when I pulled over on the way home and the driver front was at 32 psi, front passenger was 42 psi, rear driver was 42 psi, and rear passenger was 32 psi!!!! Relieved pressure down to 32 psi in the two 42 psi, and car is perfect!!!!! I WOULDNT ALLOW THEM TO PUT FUEL IN MY CAR!!! MUCH LESS ANYTHING ELSE!!!! DONT EVEN LOOK THAT WAY WHEN I PASS BY!!! THEY ARE USELESS!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!! I had just had them mount and balance tires that I'd bought somewhere else and a 4 wheel alignment just a year or so prior. And all was great!! So I bought the tires from them this time and this happens!! And by the way, I am not leaving this review for anyone at Firestone. I do not want anything from you!! I spoke with the manager on numerous occasions about this situation and I'm done!! But I do want other people to know that it's NOT always right at the big name shops!! And they don't always take responsibility and "do the right thing"!! I wish that a review like this one would've been here for me to see, that's all. People are going to make their own decisions. But at least when they have this happen to them they can't say somebody didn't try to warn them. read more
