I like going here for tires and other things. I've had tires delivered here from an outside company for my BMW and they had no problem installing them. I went there and my tires were already there and my car was done. They will take your car out for a test ride if you are having a suspension issue. Their website advertised appointment times that they can't accomplish. I tried to schedule a same day service (yes I know it was wishful thinking) because it advertised an open time for that day and some for the beginning of the next week. They called me saying they can't service my vehicle and they wouldn't be able to get to it until Friday of the next week. There is a extreme lack of knowledge and customer service. When they do something wrong very hard to get any type of resolution or your money back. Ultimately they don't know what they're doing it's a bunch of new guys with no experience. I had to take my sons car to another business and have the same thing done again correctly. Took it In and 4 hrs later got a call to tell me they had not done any work on it yet because there seemed to be a "safety issue" and got a whole spiel about EVERYTHING wrong with it I at this point I was frustrated. Poor customer service! This is the first bad review I've written about a Firestone because I normally have a pleasant experience here. I encouraged my boyfriend to get his new tires there and so we called to see if we could get in. The manager I believe his name was Dallas (could be wrong) told us to come in and we arrived 30 minutes later to have him tell us that we called 4hrs ago (not true) and they couldn't get us in now. I understand being busy can be stressful but his hospitality was lacking. We will be going to the one on 15th st in panama city for the tires. read more

I called in to inquire about getting my tires replaced, as an employee told me I needed to, a different guy, Tim, answered the phone and seemed to be bothered by the fact that I was calling in to see when the best time to come in was. They stand behind their work and will make sure you understand your options. I have been going to them for our vehicles maintenance after being lied to by dealerships and other places in town too many times. One of many examples was when I was told that I needed tires from Panama City Toyota on our Sienna I went to this Firestone for a price quote. Doug, the most customer service oriented person I have ever met, went outside with me to look at my tires and get the measurements of my tires. He looked at them, pulled out his tread depth gauge, and asked me "who told you that you needed tires?" I said "Panama City Toyota." He told me to hold on as he went and grabbed me a tread gauge for myself and then showed me how to use it. Needless to say I came back to buy the tires from Doug when I actually needed them. I have been coming here for all of my maintenance with them ever since for every vehicle that I have owned since. Yes, if you do not have an appointment with them you'll probably have to wait; however, they are worth the wait and scheduling. What a nightmare. If you value your time, vehicle, and money - TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE 1. Do not waste your time to make an appointment, they will not uphold your appointment and you will end up being there for hours. 2. An oil change, something simple right and something they do over and over each day - WRONG 3. I called immediately to let them know that I could smell the oil burning. I explained on the phone that I was fully aware that they possibly spilled oil on the exhaust during the oil change. I was calling to let them know and keep them informed. The Store Manager Dallas, spoke to me in such a condescending tone and like I lacked common sense, I refuse to work with this man. Do NOT question my intelligence, sir. 4. I crawled up under the vehicle and saw oil dripping. I called the store purposefully after I knew Dallas was gone for the day and and spoke to the Service Manger Doug. I explained the situation and he was kind enough to help me and schedule an appointment for me to return to have it looked at immediately upon my arrival. I was thinking I would be seen immediately although I was skeptic because they have no sense of the value of your time and I was right. 5. I am thankful that I took pictures because when I returned to have the problem rectified I was looked at like I was some crazy female that did not know what I was talking about. I had to hand tighten the filter and when I did, the oil that was on the exterior part of the filter wiped off, rightfully so, because there was no oil on the exterior portion of the filter when I arrived for my appointment (on time) of which I was finally 40 mins later put on the rack. Note there were 2 empty bays and 2 technicians standing around. Let meb also remind you I was told I would be addressed immediately and that my time would be treated with value - HARDLY. When asked why you make an appointment for it only to be negated I was told and I quote by the Service Adviser Dan, "Well we are like a Dr's office. There are only so many exam rooms (bays) and only so many Dr.'s (technicians), so we will get to you as soon as we can." WHAT?! 6. Once the vehicle was up on the rack I was called out to examine what we were looking at. I was told, well there isn't anything leaking now. I looked at them and pulled my phone back out to show them the 8 pictures I had taken of the vehicle dripping and the oil that had fallen on the NEW garage floor. I simply said, I can't possibly make this up. Doug kindly replied, well I will go ahead and change the oil, free of charge of course, (I WOULD HOPE SO) but I do not see anything wrong with it. 7. 1 hour and 30 mins later I was finally leaving with zero confidence the oil change was completed correctly. I was told that there was a small amount of oil that did touch the exhaust and that I shouldn't smell it. Not to my surprise while sitting at the light on MLK and 23rd Street, I could smell the oil. 8. I immediately called the store and spoke to Doug and explained my findings and informed him that as a 1st time customer and one that was prepared to spend 1k in tires at their store, I would be taking my business elsewhere and that I zero confidence in the technicians at this location. 9. Arrived home and sure enough, crawled up under the vehicle and what do you know, it's leaking oil at the seal. 10. If you want a line of BS, waste your time and money - visit this store as they will be sure to not disappoint. The gentlemen here will feed you a "line" and ad I stood in the store and watched the customer interaction and the reaction of the customers for the disrespect of their time and the line of BS they were given, I have never heard so much crap in 90 mins. Very sad. Let me also add, that it's always attractive to be standing inside the store and smell smoke, only to look up and see Dan on the other side of the glass smoking a black and mild, right there in the shop among the vehicles. While I respect that it could very well be an acceptable policy within this 1 of 2200 Corporate Firestone locations, it is nonetheless unappealing and comes across very unprofessional. At least step outside for goodness sakes. I have learned a very valuable lesson - DO NOT COME TO THIS FIRESTONE LOCATION. I brought in my old car they had a check engine light on ask them to check it they told me to be $100 I told them I thought it was free for check engine check and they said no it's usually $100 and then they offered to do it for $80 of course I told them no and had to buy a new car. I brought them my new car and ask them to check to see if anything was wrong with it before purchasing it. They said everything was good except that I need new brakes. After inspecting the car myself and talking to the dealership I first noticed there was no coolant in the coolant reservoir then the dealership showed me a a receipt where they had just got a brand new brake job. So not only did they not even check under the hood they tried to sell me some breaks that I didn't even need.I used to go to the place on 15th street before the hurricane and it was a good place but the one on Martin Luther is a scam just sells reps. I paid off my Firestone card and will never go there again but I'm still looking for a new mechanic if someone can help read more

The people where very cordial however the service was incredibly slow. I was there for 2 and a half hours waiting for just 2 tires to be replaced. As I was waiting I was talking with fellow customers next to me who where waiting 4 hours just for 4 tires replaced. I find it highly unprofessional that it takes an average of 1 hr per tire to be replaced. The place did not seem overly busy either since there was only 4 of us there. I've been a patron of this business for many years, and for good reason. I can't speak for the other patrons but I can say I've always been treated fairly. It's a busy business, and depending on timing, you might want to bring a Snickers bar, because you ain't going anywhere anytime soon; yes even if you do have an appointment. Not every vehicle that comes in for a simple brake job or an oil change is in perfect working order, so sometimes more work is necessary. If it's your vehicle that needs more work, and they fix it, I don't hear you complaining. If you're the person who had the appointment who now has to wait for the aforementioned vehicle to be repaired, you're gonna get all indignant and make a fool of yourself. It's the nature of the business, whether it's this tire shop or one down the road. It's because these guys do their job right, that I keep going back. They balanced, mounted, and test drove the vehicle. So what, you might ask; they did what they were supposed to! Well, actually, they went above and beyond. I'm a stickler about my vehicle, I do know how to turn a wrench, and where possible, watch every move if or when someone is wrenching on my car. So, I watched the technician Chris, use a small power tool that had a wire brush on it. He began removing debris and rust from all four hubs. This is to keep the wheel from bonding with the brake hub. It does happen. Nice! I've used three other local tire shops in the area, and never have I seen anyone do that before. After that, he put a little anti-seize on each wheel stud, 6 studs per wheel hub. Double nice!! There are two schools of thought about using anti-seize on wheel studs; I'm a fan. If you've ever tried to remove a stuck lug nut, to the point you need to use a cutting wheel to remove it, you might agree with this practice. I've used it for years, and never, ever lost a wheel lug nut, much less had one come loose. I digress. After mounting the tires, I watched him put the lug nuts on, lower the vehicle to the ground and then use a torque wrench on each and every lug nut. Are you kidding me? Most tire shops will slap the wheel on, and bssszzzzzhhhh, bsssszzzhhhh...airgun those lugs and tighten them so tight it takes two men and a hairy boy to remove them. Or you can do like I do, and use a breaker bar until the lug nut strips, and then cut it off. Try this when your stranded on the side of the road. Anyway, I use this business because they've always been on the up and up with me. They're not going to rip you off, or sell you crap you don't need. If you're getting tires changed, always replace your tire valves, and for an extra 10 or 15 bucks above the initial mount/balance, go for the lifetime balance/rotation. It's worth it. Now, as far as this business is concerned, they're courteous, professional, and answer all my questions satisfactorily. I've sent family and friends here, and never a complaint. One caveat. Go to the Firestone website, and look for discount coupons. I mentioned these places get busy. As for my tires and appointment, my timing was right. I was scheduled for a 2 hour appointment and was out in exactly one hour. Happy camper. YMMV! read more
