He and his crew, Gary, Mark, and Paul have always been extremely honest and very patient in explaining car-speak to me so that I can grasp the situation. They are all so professional, and at the same time kind, caring, and delightful. After an inspection they said the car would need front and rear brakes they gave a quote of 1350 I then spoke to a neighbor he recommended someone and I purchased front and rear brakes for 84 dollars and his friend did the job for 120 dollars,please go elsewhere for brakes and any other thing you need for your car. read more

I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years. I recently brought a car in for AC service. They kept it for 3 days, and were unable to repair it. They told me to bring it to a dealership and charged me $400 for doing basically nothing. That is not how you treat a long-time customer They should have just said "we can't deal with this problem" and not charged for a service they couldn't provide. I've been a customer for about 9 years, and they're usually pretty good. They haven't pushed any products or services that weren't necessary, and their prices are about in line with everyone else. Recently I took a car in for a state inspection and an oil change, and there were a couple of issues. The belly pan was not properly secured and the front fell off. I had to get under the car and fix it with a couple of zip ties. The oil change indicator was not reset, not was the reminder sticker in the top left of the windshield replaced. Nothing tragic, but this does speak to a lack of attention to detail. I hope this was just a slip that day and not a trend. read more

I needed an oil change so my wife has used this location before so I brought my car in after hers and figured I needed new tires on my 2020 Silverado as one had a slow leak so I let them do 4 Bridgestones on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. On Wednesday we drove her mother home to Queens. On the way back on the Southern State BOOM . Of course it happened where the Southern State has no shoulder . The car sensor stated I had no air in the front passenger tire but the problem felt in the rear passenger tire. I managed to get it to a small piece of shoulder and my wife saw the rear passenger tire was flat. It had approximately 50 miles on it . Defective tire ? Small road debris ? Incorrect installation ? Roadside assistance took care of this and of course you have to Jack up the tire to get the spare on this model so the roadside guy did a nice job and installed the spare. Friday morning my wife called Goodyear and told them about the tire. She brought it in and they told her they couldnt reset the tire sensor because it was a GM issue . Sure ! Then they told her they could patch the tire . It had 50 miles on it ! So they replaced it and charged her to balance the new tire instead to doing the right thing . Then the best part of all they put the spare in the truck bed they were too lazy to put it back even though they had the car on a lift. When I get home I am going to have to check the tire to make sure they actually replaced it and didnt patch it . When you are too incompetant or lazy to reset a sensor and replace a spare you have to question what else did they do wrong and I have to question was the tire put on correctly in the first place. Stay far away from this place there are literally 8 other shops within a mile . Dont go here ! read more

These guys are awesome and helped us out when we were on a jam. My husband drove up to NY to drive home with me in a car I got from my dad. The 2002 car still had the 2002 tires on it! My dad kept it in the garage so the tires looked good. We were short on time and called Goodyear and another Firestone and none of them had these pretty standard tires in stock. The guy we dealt with I can't remember his name but he was the manager. He told me it would take about two hours and we were out of there and on the road back down to Florida within an hour and a half. Highly recommend this location. And while you wait you could walk across the street to the shopping center and there's a great little diner over there that has the best home fries I've had in a long time. read more

Went in to have a headlight bulb replaced. I got home afterwards and realized that while they replaced one burnt out bulb, there was another (smaller) burnt out bulb directly next to it on the same side. It was odd to me that I was there having some thing fixed and they didn't check their work and notice it I still didn't have full headlight functionality and call it out/address it while I was in there. Went in the following day for them to do the other bulb & that got done, but the interior car lights (check, engine, service, brake light, etc) were all on (did they not notice this when they were parking it? ) regardless they were great about troubleshooting and fixing the light problem and friendly enough. There's Internet access inside but prices & wait time was OK. I'd probably go somewhere else next time. read more

The people who work at this Firestone location are professional and honest. I've been going there for over 10years. I live in Queens NY, and only bring my car there. They have kept my 2006 Toyota in great condition. Ive gotten new tires placed, many oil changes, new breaks, and tires aligned. Always great service. I had trouble with an auto shop in queens that tried taking advantage charging me with a problem my car didn't have. I brought it here got a diagnostic for less than $30. The guy whose name is Charles i guess and is at the front desk who is bald is i think the most rudest person my wife and I have ever come across. He is very rude and unprofessional, we brought our car for inspection and asked him to use the coupon but he said that this won't be done if we don't repair the things right then and there. This is very weird, why advertise a coupon if no service has to be given and why not mention this on the website too? I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

So, apparently I wasn't smart enough to heed the warnings below so I'll just say it louder for the people in the back: BUYER BEWARE. To make a long story short I had a damaged tire that was covered under warranty by Tirerack and just choose the closest location to where I've moved to recently. I drive an enthusiast vehicle and do a lot of my own routine maintenance as a preface here to set the story straight but decided to be lazy and get a headache (being new in the area I didn't have all of my tools with me). I had an appointment at 9AM and literally only needed two things done; 1) a tire rotation, 2) installation of a SINGLE tire. What is mind boggling to me is that even if this work was completed correctly the first time it still took 3.5 hours to achieve. This is where the fun only begins- So we read about it all the time mechanics goofings off with people's cars and I drive a manual transmission and left the car (yeah because I want to spend 3 hours here waiting on a Saturday) and you would think in this day and age that these shops would not try the funny business. I took pictures and marked the tires naturally and when the car was returned to me was a vehicle with no tire rotation (0 tires moved), tpms sensors not re-calibrated, and 4 different psi's in all 4 tires ranging from 36 to 41 psi. Best thing to the sentiments above is that I visibly have camera mounts- one on the dash and one on the C-pillar of my hatch. When I approached the service advisor guilt was owned immediately with no rebuttals. I mean if they tried to rebuttal it would've been embarrassing for them and their family so I'm glad they had that dignity but what scares me is they probably do this on a regular basis and 9 times out of 10 the average person probably does not realize. So, Firestone's response to all of this? An apology; "it won't happen again", "we appreciate your business" (yeah I appreciate when I pay $30 for myself to do the job right), all which is cute because I'm sure again these guys probably do this on a regular basis when it's too busy for them. Judging from the responses and reviews it looks like they do a lot of apologizing. I wouldn't even trust these guys to change a tire on a bicycle. Just don't even get to that point and take the car anywhere else. read more

I made an appointment online the night before, walked right in they had all my info and everything was good to go in less than an hour. Didn't try to upsell me in anything and was personable. I needed one of my front wheel bearings replaced. I went somewhere else first because Firestone was never going to be my first choice. I couldn't get an appointment due to my time limit. As I needed the car urgently and I didn't think it was safe to drive the way it was, I settled with Firestone, which was nice enough to agree to take my car in right away. Turns out that was a bad decision on my part. They charged me $387 (tax included). The part itself was $110. I could have got the part online for $35. The rest was labor. It should not take more than an hour to do the job. Altogether I paid about $200 more than any decent mechanic would have asked for. Also, the customer service was somehow off color. They weren't unfriendly but not exactly friendly either. Well, $200 for my lesson. I don't know what Firestone loses as I won't ever come back here for anything. Update: Firestone got in touch with me, explained the charges, listened to what I had to say and offered $50 refund. That was a nice gesture. I'm giving the exeperience one more star. read more

Friendly employees, but they are not on top of things and tell people only what they want to hear. I made an appointment several times, for example, at 8:30, and they never got me in until an hour later. I also heard and saw the employees standing around having casual conversation instead of working (perhaps they were on a break, but why are 3-4 people on break at the same time??). Also, the guy working at the desk was on the phone having personal calls for the entire time I was there, which was over 1.5 hours. This is my first review. I felt it is worth it to go out if my way to warn people. All I needed was a simple brake change and they recommended to change much more than just that and charge me over $700. I went to a local mechanic right after and confirmed some of the lies I was suspecting. Saved a lot by avoiding getting my car serviced here. Employees were polite but are complementary impersonal. Its just straight business and they will most likely overcharge you. I recommend you look elsewhere. Previous experience was poor as well. read more

Recently as always, he assisted me even with the smallest most important things, like a last minute low air pressure in tires and he figured it out 1,2,3 no questions asked. Great service i was there for oil change and inspection and was out in 30 minute...will go there for everything now

I attempted to have my New York State inspection completed today. After waiting for 45 minutes I was told that their machine was unable to communicate with the state. And it was out of their hands there's nothing they could do. What a complete waste of time only to find out that they knew 30 minutes before my appointment that the machine was down. It's interesting there are reviews written here by people who have had such unpleasant experiences with this Firestone - I feel differently. I think the work done to my vehicles has generally been up to par, timely, and at a fair rate for the most part. I have been taking my vehicles here for almost 10 years. Some staff has changed over this time period, but for the most part, the people I have had contact with and developed relationships with have been very accommodating, honest, diligent, interested in doing their job(s) right and thoroughly. Even when dropping in during a busy time, they tend to try sincerely to fit you in but may sometimes have to tell you they simply cannot and work with you to make it happen as soon as possible (and stick to their appointment times). They have time and time again proven that they are not just looking to make a quick buck, quoting you for unnecessary repairs. They share their recommended work/repairs, will tell you in all seriousness how urgent or severe it is, and let you make the call - no pressure, no aggressive selling. Presently, at the time of this review 12/10/15, I have dealt with Joe, who has helped me diagnose car issues that seem difficult, Ryan, who is extremely respectful and friendly, Eddie, who listens to all you have to say and is very knowledgeable, and Ashley, who works very hard and has a genuine interest in the customers' satisfaction. There are constantly coupons out for oil changes, new brakes, tires, and various other popular maintenance. All in all, highly recommended. read more

At first I was impressed. They had a coupon for $19.99 synthetic oil change. I was also able to schedule an appointment online. The TRUTH... the oil change is $50! Apparently I need "special" oil. I've had 5 previous oil changes and onone ever mentioned "special" oil. Also, I had to wait for over 90 minutes. So much for my appointment. Of course they wanted to replace all tires and alignment. The tread is low but well within the limits. Ironically I would have paid $50 anyway but to lure me with a worthless coupon rubbed me the wrong way. Avoid this Firestone. read more

I have been a trusted customer to firestone for years now. I loved that it was close by, and that I could use my Firestone card and pay off my bill a little at a time. However, it always seemed like they were trying to scam me into buying something else. Another thing wrong with my car, a better type of oil (also more expensive), get all four tires instead of one. And I have to admit that I've gotten my brakes repaired there several times and every time I always think to myself "why do these still feel the same as before?!". Of course, it was my stupidity for going along with what they were saying, and for paying more and buying into their bullshit. But after my sister told me that they gave her a shelf (old) battery for her car (told to her by triple A who inspected the battery) and paid full price for what she thought was a new one... I will never give them my business again. And I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to go there. It is absolutely ridiculous that a place would make their business off of scamming people. Technician did a really poor job installing brakes. The brake service took four hours. While in for service, the technician broke the front left Drive Axle to vehicle and then did not own up to damage. Will never go back there again. read more

Charged us $143.36 for an oil change and check engine light. The oil was low and it triggered the check engine light so we basically payed $143.36 for just an oil change. Moreover, they refused to let us pick up the car after 6:30 even though the hours are until 7 PM.
