I normally do not go on platforms to give reviews, but I felt I really had to. I live in NJ and we came out to visit friends in LI for the week. While I was on the Long Island Expressway, my engine light came on and the car started smoking from the engine. I pulled over and realized it was my radiator overheating on my jeep grand Cherokee. Now I needed to get it fixed ASAP! I went on Yelp and found this Tire Guys that fixes everything. I took it in and the owner Tony was there. He immediately looked at my car and said yep your radiator is cracked! Now, honestly I don't have that kind of money to change a radiator, but I also don't have money to buy a new car either. To my dismay he offered to fix it for a reasonable price within my budget. But what was most impressive he had my car up and running again in 4 hours. I mean 4 hours!!!! I didn't have to rent a car, I didn't have downtime and it most importantly didn't ruin my vacation. I mean I didn't want to spend money fixing it either, but I also needed my car! I can't recommend them enough. If you ever need your car fixed I would highly recommend The Tire Guys in Seldon, NY! The owner Tony said they recently purchased the place within the past couple of months. I can't say what the previous owners did, but this guy Tony saved my week! Thank you Tony!!! Please avoid this place if you can. My car had 0 engine issues, and had a fresh oil change completed by Firestone 11/5/2025. During my inspection I was notified that I needed to change my right rear tire. I could not afford $300+ at Firestone so I trusted Tire Guys. Huge mistake. I went to the Selden location in 11/5/2025 to get a tire. They charged me $125 +tax. Everything went smoothly. On 11/11 I was driving on the LIE headed east to a Drs appointment and my car kept having engine issues and my tailgate sensors and engine sensors were going off at an alarming rate. I made it to my appointment. After I left the appointment I drove slow and got my car home. I take my car back to Firestone in 11/12 and they tell me they noticed I got a tire replacement and I acknowledged. They told me to go back to Tire Guys immediately because Tire Guys put the wrong size tire on my car and that caused issues with my All Wheel Drive system. I went back and the Manager was not professional. He did not want to believe that the tire was incorrectly installed and refused to initially go outside and check my tire. I told him that he was being crazy towards me and I'm the one that should be hostile and angry yet I'm calm. He sent another young tech out to verify the tire was incorrect and it indeed was. The tire was changed free of charge but it didn't matter because the damage was already done. Now my car is not repairable due to a high cost. My car now requires cylinder replacement and a new engine which is not a reasonable repair. Now I have to replace my vehicle 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. The part that upset me the most is the lack of accountability. How can this shop completely install the wrong size tire on my AWD SUV and not even want to be responsible? I wasn't making it up and I had documentation and photos to back my claim. For all this I could have just paid the $300 and gotten my tire fixed at Firestone. This was the worst car experience I've ever experienced in my life. And this car hardship is now in is ruining my holiday season. Please avoid this place at all costs. It's not even worth the risk, I don't care how affordable it is. I worked with Richie and Taylor on this replacement. Richie's demeanor completely unprofessional and uncalled for. read more

I came here to replace a blown tire and I felt like they were honest and not trying to get me for my money. I paid a great price for my tire, probably the cheapest I've paid for a tire and I am notorious for going over pothholes so I am an experienced tire shopper haha. So I got a flat today on the side of the road.. And the hole was to big for a plug so I went to the Tire Guys to see if they can patch it and within 15 minutes it was done !! Poor customer service! Nobody in there is wearing a mask like covid-19 isn't still a thing! Plus they tried to over charge me to fix a rim and possibly replace a tire. I'm not sure why this place even have more than 1 star And instead of the owner trying to investigate my issue he automatically comes out and call me crazy saying it's easy for people to write a bad review. Beware of this shop your car will never be the same. I truly am saddened writing this review because Richie is a nice guy but that doesn't make up for the fact he damaged several of my family members cars to the point of irreparable damage! My car was brand new and he almost blew my engine after a oil change. The same was for my brother, daughter and worse for my mom who they broke the oil housing and now needs a new transmission. When your mechanic needs to read the manual you are in some really deep trouble. We will now be sending all damaged receipts to the DMV for investigation. read more

I have been looking for tires for about a week, (195/70R14), for my Toyota and did my research. I picked General Altimax which have an excellent review by Consumers and online. I went to Sayville Tire, (didn't like Josh there and he wanted to nickel and dime me), Went to Cosco, who only carries Michelin, (which are excellent tires but out of my price range), PeP Boys, (who said get them from someplace else and they would do the install), City Tire in Centereach, who wanted more per tire and then charge me additionally for EVERYTHING, (mount, balance,etc.), went to Mavis, who also wanted $10.00 more per tire and nickel and dime me, BJ's , who has them a couple of dollars cheaper but I had to wait a week if they had it in their warehouse and stocked. I noticed this shop last year when then opened right next to my dry cleaners and figured what do I have to lose. I talked with Glenn who hooked me up with mounting, balancing, alignment, tire fees, disposal fees and everything!! They had the tire delivered to the shop within hours and I had my car back the same day! They beat EVERYONE'S PRICE AND DID A OUTSTANDING JOB! Michael, the manager, got me in and out and DID NOT try to tell that I needed something that I didn't and even told me that there was a$50.00 rebate! EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
