This place is very unprofessional, nasty, and racist. I set an appointment for 11:00 am made it at 10:50 am, I sat until 12:59 pm before I notice the gentle that came in after me was gone and he was a white guy. I'm a black woman and this is my 3rd time going here having an issue. They walk around smoking cigarettes while working on people cars and they are very rude and nasty and they also don't know what they are doing what so every when it comes to people cars. My very first oil change they didn't re fill my coolant and my engine almost blew up. If you are black they will have you sitting for hours and hours and hours DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU ARE BLACK!!!!!! Needed to see what was wrong with one tire. Made an appointment for 11am and ended up waiting 4 hours for it not even to make it the the hoist. I asked when it would be up and the rude long brown haired guy asked what was wrong with it, when I told him the problem he kept asking the noises it was making and I couldn't explain it off the top of my head but tried telling him I've been waiting a while and had an appointment, this is when he cut me off and started giving me attitude because I could describe the noise then kept giving me rude looks while walking past. We were walk-in customers on a busy Saturday morning, yet they still helped us out, and got us back on the road in 90 mins. Went in for a leak they couldn't find. Had to get outer tire rods. Was given a price for tire rods and an alignment. Called the insurance plan I have and it was approved. Firestone then raised the price another $300. Said I no longer qualify for any discounts. Was in the shop from 1:30 until 7:30. The car was pulling to the left after the alignment. Was told I've have to return for an alignment later it was to late they weren't staying late. I've been dealing with this shop for over 30 years. I've left excellent reviews in the past. My car seat was broken during my last oil change. Was told a part was ordered and they would repair it. That hasn't been done either. Sorry but I'll be returning for what's under warranty. I've purchased tires, done oil changes, had work done but not anymore. Bill went from $785 to over $1000 plus. I've contacted the insurance plan also. I was robbed. read more

This morning I awoke to an alert from OnStar that my right rear tire was low. I went to my local gas station to fill the tire so I could get to my Firestone store on Gratiot Ave. I arrived early so was the first customer in the door. Gary greeted me with a usual smile, which is so nice these days. He said have a seat and we will get you taken care of. Turns out there was a bolt in the tire, so patching was in order. Gary and his great team had me on the road in less than an hour. As I tell my team at work when you use Firestone, not only do they back their work up with a great warranty, they have stores all over the United States so you'll feel a lot better when you're traveling. Very busy automotive repair facility. Have spent a lot of money on repairing vehicles with excellent service. Best managers are Gary and Brian. Randy is rude and basically the customer is wrong and he has no people skills. When you question something that he has said he will become angry and will escalate an argument. Mechanic Tim does an excellent job and I trust him with my vehicles. what will make this facility better is that if you tell a customer I will call you in two hours then call them in two hours not three hours. read more

1) My oil change that was done, the Technician did not reset the counter back to 100 percent full. 2) The Firestone facility in Roseville, MI did not receive the appointment I made on 11-26-2024 @9am. They said it never showed up for that date and time and they had to manually put it in when I got there. I had the confirmation notice in my email showing it was official 2 weeks in advance. They said they have computer glitches going on at their facility. 3) The work they did was not completed until after 1pm. I got there at 9am. I was told my car would be done around 11am. I walked 3 miles back home until I got a call it was done then had to walk back there 3miles to pick up the car. 4) Firestone Tech did not air up the tires. All 4 tires were really low on air. If I could give zero stars I would. We've been loyal customers for many years and have never had issues with this location. This all starts with my car running out of washer fluid. We had picked some up while running errands on Saturday, but we couldn't fill it until we got home because my hood needs a little help to pop. While finishing up the errands, my car began leaking a red fluid and the air conditioning had stopped working abruptly. I called from the parking lot I was in and made an appointment for Tuesday morning (the earliest they could get me in). After making that call, my car suddenly wouldn't accelerate and the dashboard had the overheating light come on, so I dropped my car off right then, as I was worried it wouldn't start if I brought it home. They said they would try to get to it on Monday instead. They didn't get to my car on Monday, so I thought they would get to it during my appointment time for 7am on Tuesday. WRONG. We called at the end of business on Tuesday and they said they didn't get to it but someone would on "Wednesday or Thursday." We didn't hear anything at all. End of business on Thursday we stopped by and my car hadn't moved from where I had parked it when I dropped it off on Saturday. My husband went in to inquire and they promised they were getting to it "First thing" on Friday. We didn't hear anything until 3pm. In which they told me nothing was wrong with my vehicle, I asked if all of the fluids would be checked and he confirmed that they would check everything before it was picked up. They also readily agreed that they had dropped the ball and we would be receiving a discount on the "services rendered." When we picked it up and brought it home we tried to use the washer fluid - which was empty upon arrival. I had also noticed that the engine coolant was almost empty as well. Clearly, my fluids were not checked and I'm skeptical that the oil change I had paid for was completed. read more

My husband made a 10am appointment for a car inspection this morning. He explained that our car was having issues and the person on the phone said the process would take 30-60 min, and depending on what was found- they could proceed with repairs depending on what was needed. Two people needing repairs arrived after my husband, and were seen before him! 4 hrs later, after being told several times he "was next"- my husband asked for our car keys and left...with the tech insisting that he would "be next". This is beyond ridiculous- we wish we had paid heed to the reviews...it's just that we've gone there in the past with no issues, and since we only wanted them to see what was wrong, we figured it would be ok. NOPE! we chose 1 star because they don't let you give negative ones. Let's just say the one star is for how close they are to our house, and for answering the phone promptly. Over the phone he claimed to have 2 in stock, quoted a price of $285.00 a tire & 50 to install... upon my arrival 10min later, he claimed to not have them & advised me to buy them online! For a minute I wondered who he worked for... Nevertheless while I was there I bought the tires on "Amazon" for a few bucks more($289ea) and taking my installation business to Discount Tire... Dropped my vehicle off on Friday at 4pm to do front brakes. I just called to see if I could pick up my vehicle before 6pm, when they close. ON SATURDAY. Received the worst service took my daughters car in when she got a slash and large screw in her tire. After 5 hours i thought they would have replaced the tire i had the hazard insurance on all 4 tires. They patched the screw hole but the slash is still there i took photos showing the slash is so deep the tire cords are showing through. The labor prices were way way way to high, I paid $2800 and over $1600 was in labor. They didn't rebuild my engine or my transmission, Yes it was a tough job, but certainly NOT $1600+ that's really taking advantage of people. I'm sad to say I will never go back there for work. I know what was done and how long it takes, Ive done it before. They are very unorganized, on there cell phones chatting or texting while customers are there. They said I'll pull your car around because it's ready, I waited o we 45 min, so I finally went in and got my keys myself and found my own car. They placed the "best" battery and when I went to start my car up it stalled on me and would not start. This FI said, oh it could be something else...meaning more money. I had my car in over the weekend for some brake work and an alignment to be done. Car was there from 8 am to about late afternoon, say around 3 pm or so on Saturday. Picked it up and brought my car home, didn't drive it anywhere else the rest of the weekend. Today I notice there are scratches on my rear bumper and some off white fill in paint on one of the scratches. My guess is that the fill in paint was applied, the person applying it noticed how obvious it was and decided against filling in the rest of the scratches. I know my car and these marks were not there prior to this instance. I asked to speak with management simply seeking an explanation on what happened to my vehicle. I was given every excuse imaginable...."our parking lot can be chaotic at times" "maybe another customer hit it" "maybe it was the way you parked your car when you dropped it off"...blah blah blah. Very disappointing and ultimately I chose to turn down the "few free oil changes" that were comically offered to me. Wasn't looking for much but I'd call that some very piss poor customer service and I won't be returning to an establishment that I don't feel I can trust with my vehicle. read more

I took my car to Firestone in Roseville, MI to have my axle replace. Two months later, I took my car to the shop, because I was having problems with the car. The auto shop tells me it's the axle. I'm thinking, I just got this replace, luckily it's under warranty. My wife goes back to the Firestone in Roseville about the axle and the Manager was basically very rude to her. To make a long story short, they looked at it and said it ain't our fault. I called the District Manager and he was very apologetic. And reassured me that he would handle the store and my problem. Let's fast forward they called me and told me the my issues was I need to replace all 4 Calibers and that it would be $800 and frank was so persistent about me leaving my car to repair. I have a 2012 Denali that was Scheduled for a Oil Change,and Brakes .Rotors were brand new ,just purchased them prior to this Brake replacement. Took it here to get estimate for Brakes ,but still proceeded with the oil change .First they LIED about a company policy stating they only do Brakes and rotors ,never just brakes.By the Way that's a Okd School mechanic scam ,because just the Brakes would be cheap, so they Shoot the price through the roof .So I declined on the brake replacement, not 10 min. Later I get a email "Your Vehicle is Ready for pick up ".I get it ,Take it home and instantly assess the truck .They never did the Oil change or Tire rotation, just Charged me ,RESET the Oil Life Percentage and Thought I Wouldn't Check .So I call ,tell them my observations and This Guy by the Name of " Gary" say ,"Oh we might have missed it just bring it back ".First Off this guy could even keep a straight conversation, kept forgetting what we were talking about ,even said something weird to the effect of ,I'll just get the coach back ,I'm like "what"? I started bringing my vehicles to this location a few years ago when I needed mew tires. Everytime they always tried to add something on whether it was front end work or brakes or whatever. I had grown accustomed to this pattern over the years and took it for standard auto industry "upsell" tactics and just politely refused. This morning I had an issue with an alternator and could not be without my car. After having the car for a couple hours, they called and said my 18 month old battery needed to be replaced. Said they tried to charge it, but it would not hold a charge. After picking up my vehicle I requested my old battery since I knew it was under warranty. The short of it was the auto parts store was able to charge the battery just fine in an hour. Firestone will get you any chance they get, especially if they know you're in a pinch. Oh, and the "deal" they gave me on the alternator that was supposedly "just a little more than our cost" was 55% higher than retail a mile away. read more

They mounted, balanced & installed a set of snow tires that I provided around Thanksgiving 2016 with no issues on my 2 yr. old van. Last month I bought tires online and used them as a preferred installer recommended by the online site. At first there was heavy vibration and shaking of the steering wheel. They rebalanced and said they were off a bit. It was better but still there. I took the van elsewhere and they said 2 were slightly off but 2 were way off. Now I've been a Firestone customer for years , I use to go to the one on John R & 14 mile in Madison Heights but I moved. Found out that Jeff from the Madison Heights store was working at this store now so I took both my cars there the same day to get service. Well they lost one of my valve stem covers I bought and broke the valve stem. I went back there and talked to the manager. He was very rude to me and basically said I brought my car in with the cover missing already. Did not want to work with this jerk anymore. So Jeff helps me & gives me 4 new covers and that's when we discovery the broken valve stem. (WTF) Jeff tells me he will take care of it. Now that's how u treat a customer. He also wanted me to put tire back on my car after they fixed flat since it would take too much time for them to put back on. As they were both telling all customer please be patience there were some really rude customers that did not have the patience to wait Tyler P. was so awesome very polite and got the job done he is well very knowledgeable.
