Had a 4 pm appointment to replace all my tires and was told immediately that they were behind an hour upon checking in. Vicky apologized and gave us the option of dropping it off or staying. We chose to stay and wait. They were short staffed apparently but Vicky is one hard worker, the exhaustion was apparent but not only did she tend to customers at the front desk and phones but she also helped in the garage with the guys. Checking tires for holes, repairing and mounting it back. Everything while keeping a smile throughout. The work started around 5 and we waited in the small waiting area with 3 other customers, a fourth one came in with an emergency and one of the technicians Demarco (also another pleasant and accommodating person) he fit her in as his last customer around 6. They recommended the firehawk as v2 tires for my charger and for the service and alignment and extra lifetime alignment it was money well spent. We were done around 7 but everyone was so nice that it wasn't unpleasant at all. read more

The only thing that was good with their service was Jackie, taking care of all the calls. She was extremely friendly and responsive. The rest of the service was a disappointment. Maybe it was my personal situation that was frustrating because I chose to involve insurance to lower the cost, but after finally getting everything handled with insurance and the auto shop (maybe two weeks later?!!) they told me that my car was now the back of the queue due to it taking so long to get insurance/everything settled. So now I'm waiting two more weeks for them to finish working on my car. We are now a month without a car at this point. Again, maybe they truly were doing everything they could and it was just my situation but I was pretty frustrated by this point. Especially since I never got an actual estimate of how long my repairs were going to take no matter how much I asked - whenever they did respond to the question it was always an incorrect duration and got extended. As a result my hope would go up for my car repairs making progress then plummet down when I was told they needed more time. I had little idea where they were in the process of repairing my car most of the time - honestly, I wish they would have done a walk through with me to go through together everything that is wrong and all the price points in person. Instead, it was all over the phone, which included a lot of phone tag due to my work schedule, as well as trying to understand car terminology without a visual to what they were talking about. When they finally said it was ready, now about 6 weeks later.. I go exhausted but relieved to finally have my car back. Pay for the repairs, get in my car and settled back in... about to leave I grab for the seatbelt... it's still popped out of the holder due to the airbags going off. My accident happened late at night, after a long day at work, and due to heavy rain. The only thing I knew for sure at the time was that my tire blew and that there's some damage underneath the car from attempting to pull up on the curb to get away from oncoming traffic. I did not realize at the time how bad my car damages actually were. Plus, I didn't put two and two together that the airbag signal coming on was due to my driver's seatbelt being jolted. On top of it being hard to identify the damages the night of due to it pouring late at night, now not having a car for a month I have forgotten that there was any issue for my seatbelt. I didn't realize that's something you have to specify for a repair shop for them to fix your car so you can drive safely???!! Long story short for the day of pickup... the mechanic never realized that the seatbelt was broken after having my car for over a month??? So you didn't notice when you were supposed to test drive my car before me picking it up?? And you didn't question why the airbag signal was on?? Anyway, after pointing that out, I had to leave my car there for a few more days so they can quickly fix up my seatbelt... which I believe is the first one they ever repaired, so that made me feel safe... first time for everything right? When I finally get back to pick up my car for the final time, I have to pay once again for another service, which I guess makes sense but I wish I would have gotten a discount for the inconvenience. TLDR: my car had a lot more wrong than I was aware of - I also got insurance involved which complicated things at the auto shop, but probably was still worth doing financially. I think auto shops should do an in person walkthrough the day the car arrives at the shop (and ideally the insurance person too if possible) to go over what is wrong with the car, what needs to be immediately fixed, and what the price points would be, etc. The process took way too long for me to be satisfied with their work, and I currently have doubts that it is even good work. The only saving grace at this location was Jackie the receptionist, with an A+ in customer service. I think from now on it would be more worth just going to the dealership for repairs and checkups even if it costs more up front; at least they know my car the best and I can trust their knowledge and experience. read more

I had been taking my vehicle to this Firestone for about a year and I believed they were being fair and honest with me. After one oil change I was told that I needed internal and external air filters and brakes on my next oil change. The mechanic had to order the internal air filter. Before my next oil change, etc, I had applied for and got a Firestone credit card with a limit of $1200. The day came for my oil change, brakes, and air filters. When I got there the manager told me they were all set to replace 4 tires, brakes, and air filters. I was stunned because they had just replaced one of my tires because of a nail that was in a place where it could not be repaired. Also, we never discussed tire replacement. The manager laughed my objection off and changed the order to replacing 3 tires. As it turned out they did replace 3 tires and did the oil change, but the mechanic (the same one who reportedly ordered the part) claimed that my vehicle did not have an internal air filter. The manager also claimed that my brakes were "special order" so he would have to set up a new appointment for the brakes. The total cost for that day was $700 and I was told the brakes would be $400. I found it truly suspect that the work the manager arranged for my car amounted to the limit on my new Firestone credit card. I did not return for my brakes. I will pay the credit card balance off as quickly as possible and find a new, more dependable, mechanic. Be warned! read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. I reserved an appointment on a Friday for AC service. The day before my appointment I received an email confirmation. Later that day I received a call that they only had one technician. The customer service agent offered to reschedule my appointment for the following Friday, stating that was the only day available. Again, the day before my appointment I received an email confirmation. I returned the next Friday, and when I walked in the same agent stated they didn't do AC service at that location (Savannah), she also mentioned they only had one technician and he didn't specialize in AC next she told me to call their Skidaway location, she also recommended another AC repair shop. She mentioned that she left me a voicemail on Thursday stating their location didn't provide AC service. I received no such voicemail on my phone. But I didn't wanna argue. She also mentioned that they're hiring. Really? You CONFIRM A/C appointments at your location only to cancel them? This was a waste of my time and gas. No one at any Firestone can recommend anything to me! Sorry, this one store ruined it for all the great stores out there. I can't support this company. You know it's always iffy going to a car place as a woman. This place doesn't overcharge women which is refreshing. They also listened to me which is important. Only point of improvement would be hiring a receptionist. I had a very hard time getting in touch with a live person. Eventually, I just pulled in dropped my car off and they had the new tires on and ready to go in a matter of hours. Oh! Someone fiddled with my freaking driver seat. I still haven't gotten that thing back to the perfect sit. So grrrr on that. Dude you're driving 6 feet to the car bay scrunch up!!! I requested an appointment for the 16th of March, because there was a time slot available at around 5pm. I didn't expect my car to be done that same day, but I had planned to drop it off, since I wouldn't need it for a couple of days. I received a call the morning of the 16th saying that they would have to push the date to the next day at noon. I agreed with the reschedule on the 17th. My thinking was since it was an appointment, they would be able to get to my car and start working on it at the agreed time. I received a call later that day and apparently, they were backed up. I didn't need the car at that moment, I didn't mind. Playing devil's advocate though, if I had an appointment at a set time and date, then I should have been the focus during that time slot, right? Apparently not. I've got a lot of patience, so I was fine with it. The following day, I received a call about my car's status about 2 hours before closing. Same thing, but there was a promise that it would be done tomorrow. I was fine with that, if it was done. I mentioned to the receptionist to make sure that the mechanics check my brake and taillights, because my buddy, noticed that my driver brake light was out. Next day, I get an email saying that my car was ready and soon after I receive a call to go over the recommendations discovered in the car care package. One of the recommendations was the brakes, which was one of the services that I had requested in the first place. I thought that was what they were working on! This place took 2 days to change 4 tires, with ones they supposedly had in stock, a brake fluid exchange, and the car care package! Maybe it was due to the holiday weekend, but the point of setting an appointment, is so that your car is attended to during that appointment! I let the receptionist know to go ahead with the brakes, which included the rear rotors and brake pads. Since my car was already there, I didn't want to go through the hassle of taking it out and going to another mechanic. I reminded her about the brake lights. I received no call the following day, so I called them. I received no answer, after calling roughly 5 or 6 times. I had to look for a different number online and go through a robotic answering machine, to get through to someone at this location! It's now the 20th and my car has been here for 3 days. The explanation given was that they had the wrong rotors. You guys have all my car's information, from when I scheduled the appointment, and on hand with the vin number. How do you not know the correct rotors? I was told that my car was sitting on the lift, and ready to be reassembled as soon as the part came in and that I was a priority. It should've been that way during my originally scheduled appointment! Next day, I had to call them once again to find out the status of my car. The rotors were good, but there was something about the brake pads being incorrect, this was on the 21st, I was planning on driving out of state the following day. At this point I am very frustrated. It was one of the reasons that I dropped the car off at this location 4 days ago, for what I thought would be a quick and simple tire replacement, brake fluid exchange, and rear brakes and rotors. I was assured that I was still priority and that they would overnight the brakes, so that my car could be completed in the MORNING. I called them at 10 am the next day. The receptionist put me on hold to check on the parts. They had been delivered to the nearby AutoZone, but it took me calling to get her to check on it. I was given a 2-hour estimated completion time. I get a call 3 hours later saying that they were finishing, and it would be ready in 1 hour. I get another call 2 and a half hours later saying that my car is ready for pickup. It's almost the end of the day and it has taken 5 days start to finish. The most frustrating part is that the receptionist told me that she would not be there when I went to pick up my car! Who can I supposed to explain my (rightful) frustrations to? The one person who knew what was going on, and I have been in communication with left! I was unable to get any sort of personal explanation, or apology for this debacle. It's not completely her fault, but as the main one dealing with customers, you should be the one explaining these situations! Instead, I got a mechanic, who probably didn't even work on my car, to check me out. I'm in the National Guard and we were on the last day of our Annual Training. Because everyone had left earlier that day, the only way for me to get to Firestone was to pay for an uber. I wasted my time and money! I wanted to leave the state earlier that day but couldn't because my car was held hostage by Firestone. To top it off, my brake lights were never checked, even with the supposed complete vehicle inspection. Well midway through the oil change I was looking through the window to see the technician working on my car get upset and sucker punch my car. I should have read the reviews before taking my aunt's car there. We chose this location as it was close to her house. When we checked in in the morning we were told that they had a few cars ahead of us so we decided to walk back to her house in the mean time instead of waiting there. They promised to call us once they had figured out why the car was leaking oil. We called at 1 PM to check on it as we had not heard anything and were told that they now had 3 cars ahead of us. When we checked in again at 4 PM we were told that they could not promise that they could get to the car that day. Sure would have been nice to be told that when we dropped it off instead of holding her only car for no reason all day! Have not encountered such poor customer service in a long time. I have been to this location twice and both times have been horrible experiences. The first time I had an appointment at 0800. I arrived at 0730 the first customer there. I had an appointment for an oil change. It took FIVE HOURS FOR AN OIL CHANGE. I came in today. I had an appointment at 1500. I arrived at 1100 to make sure that there was plenty of time to get my car in. When I arrived I was the only person in the lobby and it took 30 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that I was standing in the lobby. I came back at 1540. I was not expecting my car to be done because my appointment was at 1500 but I did expect for them to have at least started the oil change. Finally someone comes to me and tell me that my car has not been started. I asked why and how much longer. He informed me it would be another 2 hours. I just asked for my keys and he got an attitude because my appointment was not until 1500. I said yes that was 40 minutes ago. My car has not been started and its going to be another 2 hours. so 5 hours for an oil change the first time and now over 3 this time for an oil change. Our car wouldn't start on our recent visit to see family in Savannah. We were pretty sure it was the starter. We had it towed to Firestone. We totally understand that they are busy, but they strung us along for days. The first day we called when they opened and were assured they could take our car (it had been towed overnight) and would likely finish the work that day. We heard nothing all day. The next day, no one answered the phone, so we had to borrow a car to check in on it. We were told they could get to the car that day. We called at 5pm that day, were told it it was "next in line" and they'd get to it when they'd get to it. We called first thing in the morning the next day hoping the car was being looked at-nope. They said there was no way they could get to it that day. We were strung along for 3 DAYS! Now, my husband is sitting at Firestone waiting to tow it to another place. Absurd. Had they been forthright to begin with we would likely be closer to driving back home. Now we are starting over. We understand labor shortages, but those don't cause character flaws. Yikes, stay away!!! Got a fuel pump replaced here. Took 4 days, then I brought it home and car poured gas all over my garage. Took it back and they hadn't properly replaced the o-rings. 3 weeks later, was fleeing Hurricane Matthew by myself with 2 small children (Army husband was in the field). Car broke down in the middle of the freeway, out of state. Took it to the nearest dealer, turned out that it was the fuel pump Firestone had installed!!! It was faulty. Now, a faulty part could happen to any shop, but here's the bad part... they won't give me a refund. I got a hassle about why I didn't take it to another Firestone to make sure that it wasn't the part that they had installed. Uhhh, there was literally a hurricane bearing down on me and I was stuck on the side of a frwy with a 1 and 3 year old. I took it to the nearest place to get it fixed. Honestly, I hadn't been thinking that their part would be going bad already. How would I have possibly diagnosed the problem to pinpoint what part it was on the side of the freeway? Anyway, Dave could not have been more rude... he told me "You paid the dealer $1200 to do what we did for $500. You get what you pay for." Yeah, I suppose you do, Dave. You'll get what you pay for with this shop. Rude, defensive, faulty work and terrible customer service. Edit: I got ahold of the store manager, David, and he was really very helpful. He gave me a full refund and assured me that Firestone is a customer service-oriented company that tries to do everythi g it can to make the customer happy. Changed my review to a 3-star as David was very customer-oriented and helpful. :) in the end, got a bad part and an initially unhelpful customer service rep (Dave), but the store manager (David) did everything he could to make it right. I was well prepared to drop a grand for my brake problem til I was not given any answers or anything as to what the problem was. I do a little mechanic work myself and I took off my tires and looked at my brakes before hand and I know they were not being up front with me, they were going to charge me for front and back brakes had I not known what was wrong myself. Also when I went to pick up my truck in the morning to take it somewhere else, they had my truck up on jacks with my tires off as if they were so sure I'd say go ahead and just do it. Really?? Firestone on Abercorn is the only place I'll take my car for maintenance or repairs. The team there is always friendly and knowledgeable, especially Seth! I recommend calling to schedule an appointment, as they do get busy, but they always do the best they can to get my car in quickly. If I do have to wait, they keep me updated on the progress. These guys were Amazing. My husband and I took our five foster kids and my daughter to FL from VA for vacation. On the way home our Excursion overheated. We pulled over and called around. David answered and agreed to do his best but couldn't promise he could complete our repair today. Knowing we were stranded away from home with a family of 8, they bent over backwards to get it done. Mind you this was 2:30 on a Saturday. By 5:30 our cracked reservoir was replaced and we were on our way back home. Thank you so much! I wish I was a local so I could keep coming back. Took our car in for a nail, rotation, and alignment. It did drive tighter when we got it out. Had the tires turned later an the nail was still there. Tires had not been rotated or the nail fixed. My husband went back in and was assured they were. Went back within the week due to bounce and you know, they just did not have time to work on it!!!! Trying to get a rear main seal replaced and this place says they don't have the tools for the job. They need to take the complete out of the name. Was told they did a few before but now they dont. Well, we have had continued EXCELLENT service at Firestone! We have been treated extremely well and in fact, just had 2 cars repaired there this week. They were there for us with superb customer service and since moving to Savannah, they are the only place we trust. We tried other places and have been lied too. I read some of the other reviews before going there....and realized that some of these people are crazy. I had an A/C problem I thought when I went in.....turned out to be my alternator....and they were exactly right. Not I'm running with cool air, AND they stopped me from breaking down soon. I showed the reviews to the guy behind the counter and he remembered them all, and what was wrong with their cars, and the perfectly logical reasons these people couldn't be helped...the guy I talked to, and the mechanics who worked on my car, were great! read more

Please don't go here. The first thing I noticed was that the employees had parked the customer cars that they had moved out of the shop to the parking lot, taking the maximum amount of parking spaces that they possibly could. One truck was parked across 2 handicap spaces, and it absolutely did not have handicap plates! Another car was parked splitting 2 spaces, and it's not like there was any extra room anywhere else. Parking was a total wreck. Next, when I asked the guy at this TIRE place to mount and balance the new tires I had on the new rims I had, he informed me that he was not comfortable doing it and that he could not guarantee he would not damage/scratch the rims. While I understand that some wheels are really large and there may be complications due to this, these were 17x8 rims. Not exceptionally large by any modern measure. Needless to say I left and went elsewhere. So bottom line, don't waste your time,GO Elsewhere. read more

Horrible customer service!!! This is the only place in 25 years of owning and maintaining cars I have ever been that takes 10 hours for an oil change. After receiving my car, I turned it off to buckle my children in and it wouldn't start. The battery was dead. I never had a problem with my battery before and yet it died after spending the entire day at their shop. It was 7 o'clock on a Friday night and my children were hungry, so I had no choice but to spend another outrageous amount and get a new battery there. They not only treated me poorly but robbed me. I tried to ask the tech who drove my car what happened and he completely ignored me and acted like I didn't exist. Who treats a customer that way? This is by far the worst p,ace I have ever been.
