They were able to schedule me right away when I thought I was having a tire issue. Trey was very friendly and set my worries at ease. Later the mechanic came into the waiting room and explained what he observed and told me at this point there was nothing to be worried about as he could not find any escaping air or punctures. My steering fluid was low so I had taken it in to get that fixed. Instead I get my car returned to me with an even worse problem. The steering was normal for the day I got it and went back to barely moving. I ended up having to take it to the local honda dealership and paying $700 for the damage of the pipe that Mavis had caused. My steering fluid had been leaking over the time between getting "fixed" by Mavis and to the dealership 6 days later. Was told my car would've caught fire if I had driven it for a few more hours. Not impressed. I bought tires from here last year and they were fairly priced. However, it's been other car care I haven't been impressed with from Savannah Tire. I took my car in for a tire rotation and had them change my oil since I was due and was going in anyways. I also asked them to balance my tires when they rotated them if it was needed. First of all, it took me 30 minutes to check the car in, despite them having 3 people doing it. There were people there ahead of me and I did get there right at 8, but I had called ahead to schedule the appointment so I could get to work as quickly as possible, but that didn't happen. I got a call around lunchtime with "recommended maintenance." They informed me that my shocks and struts needed to be replaced and that my back strut was leaking. That seemed odd to me, since my car was experiencing no issues and no shaking/vibrating. I was also told that my brake pads were worn. That sent off a red flag because I just had my brake pads done a year ago. When I said that, I was told "oh, well they're 50% worn so we recommend changing them and flushing your brake fluid." I had the brake fluid flushed when I had my brake pads done, so I declined and picked my car up that afternoon. Afterwards, concerned about the comments I got about my shocks/struts, I called Auto Intensive Care (my regular car servicer) and explained what I was told. Mike (the owner) threw my car up on the rack (FOR FREE) to look at it. He told me they couldn't find the so called leak anywhere from my struts and that they, along with my shocks, looked fine. He said I needed some maintenance soon, but not immediately. He told me the only thing they noticed is that my alignment was out and my tires needed to be balanced...which is what Savannah Tire was supposed to do if it was needed. They failed to mention to me anything about needing my tires balanced, so I assumed they were fine. My fault for not asking, but still. I really didn't appreciate hearing from my regular mechanic that my "recommended maintenance" was not needed, especially when they told me I had a leak that my mechanic could not find. After today, I feel like they were just trying to take my money. From here on out, I'll skip out on my free tire rotation and just have the guys at AIC do it. It's not worth the hassle or the stress of thinking my car has problems when it doesn't. The woman I spoke to on the phone throughout this process was very kind and sweet. It sounded like she was relating information that had been relayed to her, so I don't fault her for it. read more

DO NOT GO TO ANY SAVANNAH TIRE/MAVIS.Not only is this place unethical and dishonest they are putting peoples life at risk. First vehicle I took for oil/filter change they broke my glove box and refused to acknowledge it or do anything about it. I always keep the repair receipts in my glove box and as soon as I went to pull away and put my receipt up I opened the glove box and it completely fell on the floor; this box has a double hinge and the filter is behind it, they clearly had no idea how to get to it other than to break it to put the filter in and then smeared some type of putty glue all around it and closed it as if nothing happened, putty was still wet and they pretended as if they knew nothing and was so rude when I called them out as the tech eyed me through the glass knowing exactly why I was talking to manager. Second car different making model I took a few years later while in a rush to have brakes replaced instead of waiting for dealer appointment. As soon as I went to pull off it sounded like my tires were going to fall off, I made it about 20 feet in the parking lot and I jumped out and asked them to come over because something was seriously wrong. Again they pretended that the car was doing that before it was brought in which was completely absurd, this was a new Lexus and had only been to the dealership for any service prior. I refuse to drive the car, I had a tow truck tow it to the dealership from their store, $2300 worth of damage they did for the dealership to undo and fix everything. Parts were broken, missing, and not attached securely, and they stripped my lug nuts including locks. Not only is this place unethical and dishonest they are unsafe and putting peoples life at risk, who knows what would have happened if I would've gotten on the interstate in that condition. The manager and the company, no one takes responsibility, it is completely sick. I still to this day feel irritated every time I drive past their location. I pray they go out of busy before someone is killed. I should have sued them honestly. The dealership took very detailed pictures of all the aftermarket and used parts they used including missing clips and bolts, and printed them for me. read more

Savannah tire used to be the best. Since being sold twice it has really gone down hill. I had a flat tire and put the spare on and drove it to Savannah Tire. After paying for four new tires (mine were bald), my wife drove the car back home. We had to turn around because our pressure sensor still said the tires were under inflated. We drove it back to Savannah Tire to discover their tire inflator was broken and they had no idea how much pressure they had been putting in tires all day. They also didn't have a tire gauge in the whole store.... tire store.... no tire gauge.... anywhere. We then discovered they had forgotten to put our spare back on and couldn't find it for like 15 minutes. BAD BUSINESS ALERT Savannah Tire On 1/17/20 Jade Beard took our SUV in for an oil change. 2 days later the engine started knocking and cut off on her. Come to find out they put the WRONG oil in our vehicle. Ultimately causing our engine to go out. We had them come get it and check it out. They also said it needs another engine but claims it's not their fault. Although nothing was wrong with our vehicle before letting them service it. I spoke to Regional Manager, who lied and said Jade Beard asked them to put cheaper oil in our vehicle. Needless to say, they have left us without a vehicle and accept no responsibility for their error. After speaking with a couple people, I have been told that they have messed up several people's vehicles. How are they able to still do business in our community? Now we are filing a court claim and this could have been avoided. AT ALL COST... STAY AWAY In response to Mavis Tire Was my vehicle running perfectly before being serviced by Savannah Tire? Yes... Terrible work! If you don't notice spilled oil, screws missing, or tires not being properly rotated, just take it to a mechanic after going here. This place banks on car owners not knowing all that they didn't do, or didn't clean up. They don't care about your car or your safety. Also, a free tire rotation with purchase of service, if you buy your tires from them is a scam. Even if you tell them to remind them, even though it's in your account, they will still put it on the bill, EVERYTIME. Unless you catch it, you'll pay for it. read more

I did my homework & called around to compare prices, checked reviews, and made sure they had the parts I needed. After all this I chose Savannah Tire. Not only did everything go smoothly but I was out within an hour AND they even told me to go online to use the coupon they had! I am so appreciative! Last week I realized my car was leaking oil. I called ST that day to make an appointment to see what was going on. Tim was so kind from the moment I walked in! He promptly checked me in and got the run- down of why I brought my car in. Within 15 minutes, Tim came to inform me that the gasket was leaking oil and they were going to replace it. Tim had the repair done, filled my car with 8 quarts of oil and had me on my way all within an hour-- the best part? He didn't charge me! I have been doing business with Savannah tire for 26 years and just can't do it anymore!!! I am NEVER confident in what they r telling me is true. I have been to three oof the locations in Savannah and I havE come to the conclusion that the head is guiding his/her employees not tO be concerned about the customer but about what money they can make off of anyone that comes in. This last one, I went in asked to align my truck. They told me it needed to be aligned and needed a tire. I bought a tire and supposedly had it aligned. 2 months later I continued to have problems and took it to firestone(who is excellent!!!) and after they looked they said that tire (the one Savannah tire had put on) which was NEVER balanced and Firestone did not know who put it on because I never said anything. Savannah Tire/Mavis Tire RUINED my truck and now doesn't want to own up to it. Last Sunday I went for an oil change and alignment. After a few days of driving, my truck was making noise, riding rough, and shut off on me in the middle of the street. It was a struggle to get it to start back up. My husband spoke with a mechanic and turns out they put the wrong thing in my engine. We contacted them and at first, they tried to deny that was the problem, but it's on my receipt what they used. My truck was running smoothly before I brought it in. They sent a tow truck to pick it up but their so-called fixing it, was to dump out what they used, put the right oil in, and do a treatment. They said this would solve it, but it did not and three blocks away from the shop my truck was sputtering and shutting off again. They tried to word the secondary paperwork like I had an engine issue that they were trying to help me with, not an issue that they caused and needed to fix. We reached out to corporate and a Regional manager tried to say it was my fault because I asked for cheaper oil....which never happened. The only conversation that was had was the worker at the counter expressing his disappointment in the call center giving me the wrong price for the oil change. He said he resolved it and would make sure that I wouldn't pay more than quoted but never asked me anything about the price, the type, or what I wanted besides an oil change. Apparently, their idea of making it work was putting the wrong thing in my engine. They have left me with a broken vehicle and have tried to come up with every reason they can think of to say it's not their fault. But they inspected before their service there were no engine issues before their service and a huge one after. It's pathetic the lies they are saying to get out of this and horrible that in trying to take care of my vehicle it's now ruined and may cost me more than $5000 to fix it. Since, I have found out they have ruined many people's cars. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't give these people your money. read more
