Went to Firestone because my rear brakes were locked up they replaced the rear Rotors brake pads and calipers, but they didn't bleed the brakes. Almost had an accident driving home. It was at the end of closing for the store. Had to bring it back the next day. The dealership changed my oil and told me I had 2000 miles left on it prior to bring it there Firestone told me the oil was dirty and it was low. It was not. I felt they were trying to get me to pay for services that I did not need and Roger the store manager it's very argumentative. He's not nice for these reasons. I cannot recommend you using the store. This place is an absolute joke, I came here because my battery light was on. They checked it and told me it's not my battery it was my alternator. They tried to charge me $600 originally( not including tax), when I went outside to talk another actual mechanic from another company, and came back in. All of a sudden they could give me a "discount" for only $520. I did not pay for that overpriced "estimate"! They thought they could get over me because I am a young woman. I have been using this Firestone for well over a decade, but their service and customer services have been going down over several years. Yesterday, I had a flat tire and need to the tire to either be replaced or repaired. I brought the car into Firestone after talking with them and being assured it could be handled that day. When I brought the car in, I was assured again we will get to it today. I did not hear anything from them and called. Found out they had no intention of working on the car that day and could have cared less that I need the car to travel the next day. I returned to Firestone to pick up the car to find my car had not been touched no one had looked at the tire. I was not offered an apology. They could have cared less. This Firestone branch on Lee Rd in Shaker Heights used to be my go-to auto shop back in the day. But lately they have changed for worse, hence my rating drops down to one star. When I tried to make an appointment to take a look at my turn signals that quit working, I was flatly refused the service. This is the second time in a row that this Firestone branch refuses services to me. Not sure why, it can be as simple as a bad fuse or they could check wiring, am pretty sure that the Firestone has means to do this, I watched youtube video. But a man on the other end of a phone line said no. I can only wonder why. Mind you, I am a disabled senior in my 70's, a woman. Probably will never set my foot at this Firestone location ever again and do not recommend it to anyone. read more

If you are lucky, expect at least half a day for any service and more trips within weeks. Avoid.

I got a flat tire and due to my schedule, had limited time in my schedule to get it fixed and couldn't drive around on my donut spare much longer. Another tire store repaired the tire but were unable to put it on my vehicle the same day. Firestone came to my rescue and was able to get it put on my vehicle at the end of their work day! I don't know how talented they are as mechanics, but they're awful at customer service. They were kind of rude on the phone when I scheduled my appointment for next morning, but fine, I can handle that. However, when I arrived for my oil change in the morning, they asked "when do you want to have your car back?". Then they said they couldn't get to it for a few hours, because they had other cars to work on for now. I explained that I made an appointment, and they just said "well, we can't predict the future" - isn't that what appointments are for? To "predict" that you're going to be available? Very unpleasant, and treated me like I was an idiot for wanting an oil change at the time of my appointment. read more

I always get great services when I come to this location. They have great mechanics and they try to give you the best services possible.

Overall they do a good job at this Firestone location. I've been coming here for 5 years now. They are typically honest and communicate well. I never wait for my car, I always leave it, so I can't say how they are with appointments. But they always call when it's ready and then I just pick it up after work. They are open Saturdays and Sundays and that helps a lot. read more

Very deceptive. Tires onhand does not mean physically at the shop. Wait a couple of hours or come back. Appointment means you get to take your place in the line behind everyone else. We'll replace the tires means. We'll call about your oil, coolant and brakelights. When you get there to pick up the car, the tires are flat and the light replaced doesn't work. None of that comes to their attention until you ask for some air to be put in the tires and then they all vanish without telling you squat leaving you to the tender mercies of their waiting room and Judge Judy. If you're talking to the clerk and the phone rings, he always picks up the phone and blows you off. Definitely not impressed. Won't go again. read more

Al, the manager, at Firestone on Lee Rd. in Shaker Heights is great! I presently live in Md., and one weekend last month I decided to drive my 2000 Chevy Blazer home to Clev.. As I was driving on the turnpike in Pa., the car began shaking. I learned that it was driving on 4 of its' 6 cylinders at that point. I managed to make it to Clev., but I drove it immediately to Al at Firestone. To make a long story short, Al was professional, knowledgeable, more than fair, and compassionate. Initially, as a single woman walking into an automobile repair shop, I did not know what in the world the outcome would be. However, Al put away all my fears, because he was extremely knowledgeable, he was patient, as he explained everything to me step by step. In addition, I was not taken advantage of at all. I had done my research and did price comparisons, and he was extremely fair. I had to go to work that Monday, and he made a phone call to the neighnoring Budget/Avis store, and they, too, were just as kind and fair. Ask for Beverly, should you ever need to rent a car, and they give you the best deal possible. I am so pleased with my car. I returned the rental and stepped into my repaired Blazer, that is purring like a kitten now. I trust Al as my mechanic. Sherry M. read more

I've been coming here for many years because these guys are honest and know what they're talking about. This month I came in for a 2nd opinion after the dealership told me I needed coolant lines replaced at a cost of $1500 (I was only at the dealership for body work). The techs at this Firestone location could not find any leaks whatsoever in my coolant lines. I went back to the dealership with this information, and a different tech there put the car up and confirmed that Firestone was right, my coolant lines were fine. I got an apology from the dealership (which I'll never go to again) but more importantly, Firestone could've simply replaced my lines and pocketed the money but they didn't do that. Furthermore, this is the SECOND time the techs at this Firestone location have told me that something expensive which the dealership recommended did NOT need to be done, and they put the car up and SHOWED ME WHY and they were right. read more
