Women!!! DON'T GO THERE by yourself or you will be taken advantage of money wise. Long story short I went there because my key was not turning in my ignition. They told me it would cost $868!! I went to the dealership on Monday and their price was $625 at Ken Ganley dealership!!! Wow!!!! And that's at a dealership!!! That's $243 What a difference. I got receipts!! I ended up calling Rob back with the news and he said it was a dealer part so he had to get it from the dealer. I said at that much more of a mark up? Then I asked him how could he sleep with himself at night knowing that he's taking advantage of people charging soooooo much more!! And I told him God Bless Him. AMAZING service!!! Been searching for a trustworthy, reliable, locally-owned mechanic place since moving here, and Shaker Quality is definitely it! Had severe car troubles on a Saturday, and when I called Monday morning at 7:30, a very friendly Sandy answered the phone and connected me with Rob who had me bring the car in 10 minutes later. He called me later with clear explanations for what was wrong with my car and an honest, reasonable cost for parts/labor. Had my car back fully repaired by the end of the day! The staff were all very helpful, professional, and seemed happy working together. The waiting area was kept warm despite the sub-freezing temp, including free coffee and the occasional visit from their friendly (non-jumpy) dog. SUPERB SERVICE!!! They are lifesavers, would recommend 1000x over! Mechanics you can wholeheartedly trust. I came into town for a long weekend and my car broke down right as I left to head home to Chicago. I dropped my car off first thing in the morning and the staff was SO KIND and had my car diagnosed, fixed and returned to me before 1pm the same day!!! They were unbelievably helpful, and really did me a huge favor. I mean it when I say ***you can trust these guys.*** Seriously. If you need multiple repairs, they'll tell you which ones are a priority/safety issue and which ones can wait. If they do a repair and the part ends up being defective or there's an installation issue, they'll make it right--for free. They also get you in the shop fast AND get the work done quickly. They're responsive and communicative. They don't try to sneak things by you, convince you to get extra work done or do any work without your explicit permission. Major noise issues from living on this street. This shop doesn't even maintain its cars well enough that they can't keep alarms from blaring all night, 9pm-5am of constant bombardment from car alarms going off. Not like it's a safe place for your car anyway; there was a break in at this shop the other day, where a car was stolen I've had to listen to this same car keep me up all night for two nights in a row now. Excellent experience overall. I stopped in on a Thursday just before closing time to see if they had openings to do some body work and Paul immediately said yes, let's start a file. Now I can't give you a super detailed review as I cannot tell you what exactly was wrong with my car (the air conditioner was not working and that's all I know) I also know that when I took it to Shaker Quality Auto Body, they were able to fix it in a timely manner! During my first winter in Cleveland, I got into a pretty bad car collision from the slippery roads. Sam from the Lusty Wrench suggested that I come here for repair. Everyone at Shaker Quality is so friendly! The lady at the front desk kindly offered me tea and coffee, even though I was there for only a free estimate! Ron was the one who helped me. He gave me a quick estimate and was able to cut down some costs to fit my student budget. He said the repair would take a 2-3 days to complete and I can bring in my car as soon as possible. Talk about efficiency! Coincidentally, it was also before spring break time for school and I had already planned a week trip to somewhere that was neither freezing nor snowing. Ron graciously said that I can bring in my car before I leave for my trip and offered to keep my car in the shop until I get back, at no extra cost. Yayy Ron is seriously the man! I left my car parked in the driveway for six days. The seventh day the check engine list and slippery roads hazard light was on and car kept cutting off. I know that the shop is busy especially on a Monday but I needed my car for work. Had to bring it back the next day for repairs. I've seen all kinds of wildlife around my house and found it strange that there was a cluster of leaves under the hood. Darn critters chewed up wiring but Shaker got it done . These guys are the bomb. They are incredibly honest. I base that on the fact that they always quote their repairs at a very competitive price. I've never found anybody who would do anything cheaper. Eric is a very honest guy. He must run the place cause he always is the one to answer my questions. I have asked him if I could do some stuff myself and he always tells me if it is easy or not. The last time it was the charcoal filter in my fuel filler, he was doing this work along with my transmission and said he'd install just at the cost of parts. He said I could have done it myself but since he already had the car up he'd do it. The receptionist is very kind and they are overall great people to work with. I do think they should change their name though, because for the longest time I just thought they did body work. read more
