Purchased tires through special order. They were mounted and balanced by appointment. Done and out the door on time and on budget.

I am extremely disappointed and upset with the experience I recently had at Firestone, located at 1689A Post Rd, Warwick, RI. On November 2, 2020 I had my 2005 Toyota Sienna towed in for service, as we needed our water pump replaced. I called ahead and spoke with Charles and explained what was going on. He said that he would be able to take a look at it in the morning and confirm if it was the water pump. Tuesday 11/3 towards the end of the day, I had to reach out to Charles as I had heard nothing about the vehicle. He informed me at that time, they had to do another test in the morning to confirm that it was the water pump, and he would be in touch. On Wednesday 11/4 around 830am, Charles calls to tell me that my water pump does need to be replaced and explains that it is a 5-hour job and gives me a quote. I give approval to go ahead and replace the water pump by 930am that morning. I hear nothing all day. Now they are open until 7 pm at night. I was under the impression that the job would be done, or I would of heard back from Charles, as communication is a big part of customer service. I call Thursday morning asking a timeline on when my vehicle will be ready, I get attitude and push back and am told it should be done by 12pm no sooner. I get a call that the car is ready. I now Uber down to pick up my vehicle. I go in to pay and get my keys. I go and start my Van. It turns over and starts to chug, not feeling or sounding right, so I press on the gas. Now I am still in park, I have not even put my can into reverse to pull away. Suddenly the check engine light comes on along with every other light on the dash. After 2 and half days for a 5-hour job on a car, this is not how I want to receive my car back. I shut it off and return inside. I explain what just happened and how upset I am. They use the computer to check what the error codes read. Come to find out they must keep the vehicle to redo the whole job because the timing was off. At this point Charles comes to speak to me and says that Toyotas have issues when the batteries are taken out. Which made no sense. I asked the other service tech if this was going to eb another 5 hours? He says it will be another two days, but don't worry its all covered. Except I have no car, and now I am without a vehicle for another 2 days for a 5-hour job? Not only that but I run a small local business and need a vehicle to take care of our customers. I was offered a ride home and that was it. It wasn't until I got home did I realize that without my authorization, Firestone took it upon themselves to change my timing belt which still had close to 20,000 mile left on it before needing to be changed. Since doing an unauthorized service on our vehicle, we went 10 days with no car for a 5-hour job. After leaving my car at Firestone in Warwick on Thursday 11/5 since it was not properly fixed and they replaced a timing belt that was not authorized, instead of getting my car back that day or Friday, I did not get it back until the following Thursday. I called Sunday to find out what was going on, only to find out the store had been shut down due to lift issues on Saturday. Not one person called to explain what was going on. I got directed to speak to another Firestone location. I spoke with a manager named David who was able to at least help my family and myself get a rental and reimbursed some for the rental I had since the 11/5 when they originally had not fixed the vehicle properly. Never did I hear from the manager Charles to explain anything. Even the rental company was confused as how long I was to have the rental. This whole situation took place because they did unauthorized work on our vehicle. Our vehicle was taken to another Firestone to be fixed on Tuesday 11/10. It should have been fixed on 11/5 or 11/6 the latest. When I tried to confront Charles about the unauthorized work done that resulted in being without a vehicle for 10 days, he told me basically, that anyone would be stupid not to replace the timing belt when replacing the water pump. As stated, I had another 20,000 miles until that needed to be changed, that is 2 years for most folks. And last I checked it was our vehicle and we should have a say as to what is done. I explained how the lack of communication was unbelievably bad customer service and that no one called to explain anything. He came at me saying his Service tech told him he called me. Which never happened. He was demeaning and intimidating and didn't want to hear anything I had to say. I called customer service for Firestone that night 11/12 to put a complaint in as no one should be allowed to do work that was unauthorized, which resulted in 10 day without a car and no communication on what was happening. The customer service stated that the local Area Manager Kendra Lamas would be reaching out. I received and email asking, "When was a good time to speak?" I responded with a time. Well here we are again. You know I used Firestone because I like them and they are convenient. But here we are with another problem. I had purchased two tires online at the tire rack. I brought them to Firestone and had them mounted and balanced and put on the car. No problem I payed. Matter fact it was when I put the tires on and I had a problem with them aligned the car. that took three times and was never right. My wife got a flat in one of those tires. She dropped it off yesterday to have the tire taken off purchase a new one and went today to pick up tire and have them put it on the car take off spare. She had told him what time she would be in after work 2 PM. Firestone told her it would be a two hour wait. She thought they had made an appointment. But they did not make an appointment. When she told them her husband and purchased the tires online the representative comment was "well where are they now."Meaning because of the online purchase at Tire Rack. She ended up having to take the tire with her and taking it to a gas station Near our house and having it put on the car. It's really a crappy comment because we bought the tires online pay Firestone to mount them and balance then they comment. WELL WERE ARE THEY NOW! Meaning the online tire company called tire rack. You know I don't appreciate it because I send my wife a woman that she gets treated like that! read more

Excellent, fast service. Had a flat this past Columbus day while up at a hockey tournament from New Jersey. I called and spoke to Charles (the manager) and asked if he could get me in at 2pm after our last game for two front tires and an alignment. Was not a problem at all. He had me in and out in a little over an hour and a half and back on the road home. The ride back was smooth and enjoyable on the new sneakers. Could not have asked for or received better service! I'm not even sure where to begin with this horror story. Let's first say, I was quoted 2 1/2 hours to get new tires put on my existing rims mount and balance and-front end alignment. I ordered the tires over the phone on Friday, was called Saturday to say they've arrived. I scheduled to drop my truck off Monday morning, I work close by so I dropped the truck off (7:30am) walked to work. I was called and told that they ordered the wrong size tires they'd fix the issue and get me the correct size, having to cover the difference. On lunch 12:30PM I went to go pick up my truck. To find my truck still sitting where I had dropped it off. When I went up to the desk, the manager said they were going to pull it in now. So I guess when you make an appointment it's not honored. I left and told the manager I'd be back to pick up my truck at 3:30. "No problem". At 3:45 I walked back to the shop to find my tires were still not installed. I sat in the waiting area, for 2 hours. Till I asked again what was going on with the truck. He had stated they were still working on it. This is completely unacceptable and not a good way to conduct business. As a business owner myself I had appointments with clients that I now had to reschedule. At 7:30PM my vehicle was Finally finished. I was provided a price that was $300 over the purchase price that I had already paid Friday when I ordered the tires. After speaking to the manager he provided a "complimentary" alignment for the inconvenience. Needless to say, I do not recommend getting anything done here to anyone. The management does not respect other people's schedules what so ever. It took from 7:30AM -7:30PM to get 4 tires mounted, balanced and aligned. Never ever again. read more

Dropped off rim with flat tire day before so they could order replacement tire. Next day we call they say come in tire is here should be on and balanced in 15-20 minutes. I go in and was told sorry we don't have any weights for balancing someone is getting them. 2 and a half hours later they say I'm all set. $220 charged as I'm walking to my car guy comes out and says sir your forgetting your tire! I m furious because I paid for the service as well as he tire. Now I have to wait again for them to mount it. Manager apologizes but doesn't offer coupon, money back nothing! Then car pulls up with new tire that is filthy. Dirty rag in my cup holder and spare put back incorrectly and the kit not put back. Terrible service. Mistakes happen and I'm ok with that but something is usually done to correct the mistake, especially when I paid $220 for one tire. read more

Very unprofessional! This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Four days after getting two new tires my husband was taking my son to daycare when one of the new tires caught a flat and wedged off the rim. Thank God they weren't on a busy road. When we called Firestone they said they were sending someone to "help" change the tire. We live 5min away from Firestone. I took my son to daycare and went back to wait with my husband. A man arrived and seemed very upset he was sent out. We said good morning and no response. He looked at the tire and blamed us for driving with a flat tire because according to him the tire was flat when we left the house. We explained that the tire was initially fine and he proceeded and responded with a "I don't care this isn't my job" we were very confused and appalled by his behavior. He yelled at us and said that it wasn't his job to come out in the cold to change a tire (a tire we just purchased from them!) I don't understand how he was the one that was frustrated and pissed off when we were the ones that had an issue which was making my husband late for work. This guy did not help at all and actually ended up leaving without changing the tire. As he was walking away he told us to "F***off!" When we arrived at Firestone, at this point I was in tears, the manager didn't seemed bothered by our experience. We will never return again. After paying so much money for new tires how are we the ones being mistreated for getting a flat? It was by far the worst customer service we have ever received. read more

So I was really in a bind and was honest with them and told them I needed my car back the next day... I really wouldn't write about this because it was something I needed I was willing to pay whatever but I asked them how much it would be because I'm pretty handy and minus the circumstances I could have fixed the car myself but if they gave me a good price I was willing to pay as I said I needed my car the next day... Well they priced me fairly at $110 when I dropped the car off well when I picked it up it was double that $239.00. I will never return read more

Beware this Firestone! My wife took her car in for a routine oil change and was asked if she would like a free brake inspection. She figured whatever, my husband isn't around so sure. Everything appeared to go smoothly, they suggested she replace the rotors and brake pads but she said that I would do it at home for her. Fast forward a month later and I go to take the tires off to replace the brake pads...her car has a locking lug nut on each tire and I grab the key to go take them off and the entire key is stripped. This means that someone used an impact wrench on it which is a BIG no-no, had the pattern strip off and imbed itself into one of the locking lug nuts, then put it back in the glovebox and didn't say crap to anyone about it. At this point I'm pretty ticked because we are up in NH because we were staying with family during a household move, and we were moving down to SC. Needless to say, we drove all the way down to SC without incident and had to order a new key and finally it came in the mail and we took the lug nuts off. This could have been much worse, especially if we had gotten a flat tire. We would have been screwed! read more

Believe me if I could get away with giving them less than one star I would. We started by bringing my sons car here because we thought something was wrong with the transmission but it turned out there were issues with the brakes. It took them four days to diagnose the problem. The manager Chuck said he would call us back at a certain time but he never called back so we would have to call to follow up with our car and each time we did we would get attitude from him. At one point him and I got into an argument over the phone because he said he was too busy to call us back and I told him we needed the car back and we needed to know what was going on with the car. He then told ius the car needed an ABS brake module and that used it would cost us $500. He told us he would get us a used one at a local junkyard. He told us he would call us when the part came in to set up an appointment to have it installed. We waited for a month and never heard from him so my husband called him back and he gave us a story that none of the salvage yards were getting back to him so he would have to try calling around again. And again he said he would call us when he had the part in hand. Another month went by and still nothing from Charlie. My husband called him again and he stated that he couldn't find the part in a salvage yard so we would have to pay for a new one which was $1500 just for the part. We just wanted the car fixed properly so we told him to go ahead with ordering the new part, again he said he would call us once he had the part in hand. A week went by and nothing from Charlie so I called the local Nissan dealership and they had the part in stock so we wondered why Charlie kept giving us the runaround on a simple part. My husband called and said he wanted to schedule the appointment, at this point he spoke to Mike, Mike made the appointment for the following week and we thought everything was good. My husband called the morning of the appointment and was told by Mike that no appointment had been made or scheduled and they didn't know anything about the appointment. That was the last straw for us we were tired of being told one thing and then something different happening. We took the car down to another auto shop which fixed it same day with no issues. I will NEVER ever take my car back to this place again. Also the other auto shop showed us where they did shotty workmanship on our car and glued together pieces of parts to make the car run correctly how is that for honest business!!!! read more

Worst customer service ever! We had two cars we owned and would take them to Firestone to get them fixed every time. The supervisor Chip would always confirm what was wrong with the cars and I would explain that I am on a tight budget being a social worker so I only wanted absolutely necessary repairs to pass inspection. We ended up spending thousands on our two cars for a leak on one and a sensor issue on the other and they NEVER got fixed. I feel like they jimmy rigged the parts to last for a day or two just to get our money. They told us we just needed one part to fix my car, we paid for the part through them, it still wouldn't pass inspection and they quoted me $3k to fix a car that wasn't even worth $3k after paying what I already had to fix it which I believe was around $1500. They said the $3k part might not even fix it. We took our car to the Balise dealership and they told us we had been scammed and ended up trading it both cars. We're still paying thousands for a bill from Firestone for two cars we don't even own anymore for over a year that never got fixed. I wouldn't recommend Firestone to anyone. Such a run around. Just tell the customer straight out if you don't know what you're doing. Such a scam. read more

These guys are fantastic! I landed at Providence airport, returning to two front tires nearly flat. I hobbled over to Shell to fill them, then drove to Firestone. Charlie, the owner greeted me with a friendly hello on a Sunday football afternoon. They took my car even though they were busy. They fixed the problem and I was back on the road in no time. And the price was so reasonable! What a great place, I highly recommend it!! read more

Since automobiles always seem to break down at the least convenient of times I've found this place a convenient place to take a car for repairs even if it means a Sunday morning. With two young adult children who both work and go to school, a broken down vehicle for either of them means that mom (that's me) gets to place taxi until their car is up and running again. Since I'd rather not have to play taxi, I find it easier to drop the car off at Firestone and let them fix it instead of calling the dealer to make an appointment to bring the car in. Firestone has worked on my 21 yr old's Volvo S80 (my old car) and my 19 yr old's Volkswagon Beetle (purchased much to my chargrin) and has kept them running smoothly even though both are way past the 100K mile mark. Firestone has proven to be a trustworthy and dependable source for a quick fix on a broken down automobile and a reasonable cost. The manager is personable and I give him kudos for putting up with my husband without rolling his eyes at my husband's constant questioning about every little stinking detail. I just wanted to share how Un-ethical this place is. So my Stepson went to Vist this place you call a business. During my Stepson's visit he was looking to get his tires aligned. Well they looked at it and was given a quote of 1000.00. He paid 400.00 of it to "fix the problem before he could get it done". They replaced the Hub assembly and the wheel bearing. Literally 2 weeks prior his car was in my garage on jacks and my Master mechanic Uncle and I changed the whole cv joint and shaft as well as the whole knuckle with used but tested parts on the SAME SIDE!!!. My Stepson is an 18 year old high school student who knows no better and spent his tax refund to try and better his car. I can't belive how you saw an opportunity to make a buck and took atvantage. I will make sure and let everyone I come in contact with my opinion. UNBELIVABLE!! I am beyond upset at the situation. I give it minus $400.00 stars. read more

They have no consideration of your time when you make an appointment as well as a lack of competence to perform the task. I made an appointment last week in the early morning so my car would be ready for pick up by 1:00 pm. When I called around 1 to check, I was told they hadn't even started working on it yet!! It gets better. They was also unable to complete a muffler clamp repair because they was no welding helmet there that day. They asked me to make another appointment so they could be prepared and be sure the helmet was there so I did. I bring the car back to wait and after 45 minutes of my car still sitting in the parking lot I am told the technician "forgot" the helmet but went to get it. Another 45 minutes and car appears in the front of the building and I am told now they do not have the proper "wire" to do the weld.
