They worked quickly and got everything done. They also reviewed one other competitor's recommendations that didn't set well with me on what my car needed. After reviewing, they told me it was completely unnecessary and to monitor as the parts had lots more wear and tear before fixing/replacing them. Can i give negative stars??? I am required to give 1 Star in order to get my review posted. THIS PLACE IS NOTHING SHORT OF BEING EXTORTIONISTS - STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISREPUTABLE BUSINESS I brought my van in because i had a slow leak in my tire & i brought them 4 new shocks to swap out for my old OEM stock ones. I called to schedule an appt and Dave/Manager quoted 2 1/2 hrs labor. I explained to him theres no way that 4 shocks justified two and half hours. *(Shocks only have 2 nuts holding them on. 4 x 2 = 8 nuts needing removal) He went on to explain that he believed that the rear shocks required parts removed to complete the shock install. But he said that if it turns out nothing needs removal, he would work with me on the bill. I agreed and had the shop do the job. Fix, patch tire & install 4 shocks *(brought to them). The tire they said showed no signs of leaking. So, for some reason, they popped it back on and called that job DONE... *(they did not bother to put in a .10 cent air valve stem or even replace the valve core. so im still dealing with it slowly leaking out to go completely flat.) The tire took :17 minutes. The shock install went smoothly. No other parts needed removal, and the 4 shocks took an hour total to complete. Cost of Tire *(removal & put back on = no repair at ALL) & 4 shocks removed & replaced) = $330.00! For 1 hour & :17 minutes......! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO THIS PLACE. It astounds me the gall of these shops who prey on people. I guess FIRESTONE BRIDGESTONE has gotten used to bending over people who just want to pay the bill without questioning....WHAT are they actually paying for? I make an effort to give businesses my business that are local to me. Guess i will be driving to Van Nuys to my shop that i can trust not to bend me over. I called on the phone and ask if they honored Bridgestone's $29.99 Standard Oil Change, they said they did. I set the appointment and arrived and showed the coupon. Dave explained they do not honor Bridgestone Corporate Coupons, only a synthetic-blend @ $79, I told him someone said these coupons are fine for a standard oil change @ $29.99. I was leaving when he said he could do it for $54 (synth-blend oil change). I reluctantly agreed saying it does not feel right. I called Firestone and they said to bring the tire in and they would work with my warranty company to get it replaced. It was quick and painless on my side. This place is great. Dave remembers almost every customer that walks in and will take care of you and if he can't, he can find out who can. Never felt like I was being upsold or talked down to which, as a woman, happens pretty often at auto places. I've been a customer for about 5 years, and Mike lost my business today. He doesn't wear a mask around customers (I'm writing this during Covid); I had to tell him to put a mask on. As he was writing me up for my new tire, he told me that my 1-year old tire had burst because "whoever installed it for you did it wrong." His employee said it wasn't balanced either. I asked his partner to check their records, and they'll see that they sold me that tire. They also charged me for balancing when I bought it. This was the 2nd balancing issue I've had here. Long story short, I was given a full "out the door" quote for 1 tire at $114. In person and face to face he tells me that the price is $149. What other reason do tires fail than road side hazard? How cheap and shitty are these tires that they fall apart after a week? No wonder why this shop has low ratings. I contacted this shop to fix my Carfax records which was not belongs to my car. The store manager didn't listen, saying nonsense, and hungup the phone. I've never been to this repair shop and obviously they don't have our records in their system but he kept asking my car info and my information and then saying "we have no records and we can't do anything". After they reviewed my Carfax, Mike admitted it is other car's records. However, when i asked how soon he can correct the record, he said he doesn't know and it is not his fault. As soon as i start complaining the situation he just hung up my phone. If the STORE MANAGER is behaving this way how could you trust them and bring your car to repair. Replaces my brakes the wrong way. After getting my breaks fixed at this place it started making a weird noise. He said it wasn't them but I took it to another mechanic and he said they just didn't do it right. He said it would cost over 1000 dollars to fix and I took it somewhere else and they did it for Firestone. It seems every time I've brought my car into them it comes out with a new problem. Don't go here. One time I saw one of their guys working on my car and he pulled on the door handle super hard over and over again and then my door didn't open anymore. THE DRIVER DOOR. So he fixed it for free. Can't say the same about this last issue. It seems if the numbers get too high when it's their fault they won't take the blame. We've been going to this place for over 20+ years. They just lost a long time customer. One of the employees at this business TOLD MY MOM that I left them a bad review. This is for an experience a year or so ago. Had a coupon for a free rotation. Great, call and schedule an appointment. Go in for the rotation. Took longer than it should have, but nothing too serious. I was probably there an 1.5 hrs with an appointment. I could do it faster myself playing musical jack/tires. Go to check out, noticed I forgot the coupon, guy says sorry. Fine, can't hold that against them but $25 for a rotation, c'mon. So, I wash the car the next day and the recessed lug holes were all scratched up on two wheels (inside the whole where only a socket would fit, as well as around the hole). The car had 7500 miles and wheels had never been off since the day I bought it. I call to tell them, expecting them to say let's take a look. Instead I get, 'Couldn't have been us, we take care about that.' I wash and wax my car every single week - I'm a freak about it. Not to mention, inside the lug hole? Get real. They lied and it's unacceptable and I'm left with scratched rims and no real way to prove they did it. Car is sold now, but I can't explain how livid I was - sloppy work and no integrity. read more
