They are very lazy and when I got my bearings and hubs replaced they sent it to a press factory that torqued the hub too tight, which caused my brand new brake assembly to squeak. The rotors had deep scratches on them afterwards. They repaired it for free when I returned but, it took them 2 whole days. Furthermore I got a new mechanic and got my bearings and brakes inspected again because they didnt stop squeeking. Turns out, Flintridge lied to me twice about my bearings. For over 4 years 5 different vehicles and a location move, I can count on Flintridge automotive to be honest and upfront with any issues. Ed, Greg and his crew work thorough and consice. These mechanics won't try to add services you don't ask for like most others I've been to. I've taken my vehicle in for squeaky brakes and I received a call from Greg telling me I don't need brakes or rotors, My pad wasn't seated correctly, he fixed it and didn't charge me. He said I still have a good 10 to 15k miles on the brakes depending on how I drive, but he can replace them when needed. I decided to take my car in to check on the notifications popping up (brake pads, turn signal malfunction, etc). I spoke with Greg who was very accommodating and asked to take my car in. He and his team checked on the brake pads and said they were fine and to take it back to the mechanic who worked on it so they could repair the sensor. As for the turn signal, the notification did not pop up when they tested it. It's evident he is the community's fave automotive shop. He communicates with them and accommodates his customers. I had a last minute alignment I needed to get done. My vehicle does have aftermarket modifications which aren't easy to work with, and gets turned down from 99% of shops. I called in and spoke to Greg, not only did he give it a chance , but his team did an exceptional job on assisting with my alignment needs with what they were able to do. Really great experience at my local auto repair shop, Flintridge Automotive here on Foothill in La Canada. I have no good reason for not trying this place sooner. I'm very happy and impressed with the service and quality. I have a 23 year old truck/SUV that I was struggling to find good service for. Repairs were made elsewhere in the past that were clearly not solving the problems. I stopped by earlier this week and chatted with the good folks. They offered to drive me home, and then kept in communication during the week including with detailed quote / estimate, timing updates, and pictures of what they were replacing. Greg, at Flintridge Automotive (F.A.), performed a miracle for me today! If I could grant 10 stars for the unbelievable service I received today, I'd award them instantly. As a first timer, I selected F.A. because of its top-notch, 4.9 yelp reviews. I called and was welcomed by Greg to come in fora new battery. Pulling in, I receive an instant hello. I recapped my phone message to Tech Armando who greeted me. Armando gave me the full 411! "I can have new battery in about an hour for $284.00 out the door." Bingo! Tech Armando kindly removed my car key from my key chain, and said he'd call once my car was ready. In the time frame given, my ride was ready. As I paid for my service, Greg was prompted to check the warranty on my old battery that had been replaced. He found that the warranty for it had just expired. Even so, (here's the altruistic act) he decided to go ahead and honor the warranty anyway!!!! He boldly voided the sale!!! I paid absolutely $0 for my new Interstate battery. I had tried 4 other places earlier in the day before F.A. I was convinced I'd have to be on lockdown the entire weekend without my wheels because no one was making time for my cold-call job.
