I remember it well, it was the morning I told my husband I wanted a divorce. That morning, I also discovered that my tire was flat. Normally, my husband helped me with those things, but obviously I could not ask him. It felt like an incredibly lonely morning and I knew I needed to take care of this as soon as possible, but I also felt pretty lost about that. Now I took an auto mechanic class in college and learned how to change oil and tires and batteries, but I was not in the mood to try and fix something myself. After reading reviews, I felt like I could trust this place. As a female, I felt like maybe I could be taken advantage of pretty easily at an auto shop. That's why I was totally floored and surprised when the total cost of my tire getting fixed was $15. I even offered to pay more and was refused. At the same time, while in the lobby, I saw the owner let one woman go without paying and she was going to pay back later. I cannot tell you how much this meant to me on such a terrible morning. I felt like maybe I can do things in my life by myself and that I'm gonna be OK. Just knowing that I can go to someone and get my car fixed and that I don't have to worry about trusting them. They worked on our cars on several occasions, for tires, oil changes, and body work after a car accident, and each time our experience has been great. Hambik is fantastic. I brought my car in because I had a nail in the tire. Instead of telling me how bad the situation was and asking me to buy tires, which many shops did that before, he said that he could fix it. Asked me to wait a few minutes. Maybe 10 minutes, one of his guys completed job. I didn't get his name, but that guy was professional, answered a bunch of my questions as well. When it was all done, I was ready to pay. Hambik said no charge, it was a small job. It gives me such fresh air that I need to re-evaluate how I view the mechanics world. read more

Several of the tire shops in this area have bad ratings--mostly due to lack of trust and experience in the workers. I needed a tire to be repaired and decided to try Performance Tire Center due to their uniformly positive reviews. They were busy but able to fit me in even though I didn't have an appointment. They were very quickly able to get the tire fixed and their price is right in the middle of a few other quotes I got over the phone. My tires were getting pretty worn so I asked Hambik for a quote to replace them. I appreciate he was honest that he couldn't get the exact same model tire for the price I was hoping to pay but didn't try to strong arm me in to getting another kind of tire. My tire got punctured so I originally brought it to just tires (since they were closer); the sales rep took one look at the tire and said I had damaged the tires internals and that patching it wouldn't work. Ok great. Since they didn't carry Michelin I called Hambik at performance tire to order (I typically go to him for new tires as his pricing is competitor). He took another look at the punctured tire and said it could probably get fixed, even though he had already ordered the tire.
