I had called the number on the website in advance to ask whether they were open because it was Black Friday. I reached a friendly local guy who said yes and I said I'd be there around 12-1pm. When I got there, I called the number again to let him know I was there, but there had been a mixup and the crew had been sent home early unexpectedly. I told him it was okay, but he insisted on making it right and called his brother who was still there and had him give me a box of keawe. I tried to pay, but they would not accept. I ordered the kiawe wood on 5/15 with and paid $26.80 for shipping. I needed the wood to smoke meat for my son's grad party on 5/27. I emailed and called a few times to get an update. No response on email and the times that I called, the person said that I should be receiving it soon or someone would be calling me back with the info. None of that happened. The order finally came in on Saturday 6/10. A month after it was ordered and way too late for why I ordered it. Unreal! read more
