I asked for a simple, one-length cut, which should be basic, yet it was not executed well despite her claiming 16 years of experience. She spent a lot of time talking and trying to make it seem like I, the customer, was wrong or didn't understand hair. If the result had matched all that confidence, fine. But talking a lot and then failing to deliver is not good customer service. I'm really disappointed and now have to pay someone else to fix the uneven, poorly done work on my hair. My friend had recommended Youthbar to me as we had been talking about her migraines and our RBFs and how it's helped her. I called in I was met with one of the friendliest receptionists I have ever come across. She was patient with despite my many questions and talkative nature and when she couldn't answer my questions, she booked the free consultation for me where I could ask all the questions I wanted. My consultation was with Meadow. She was very friendly, answered all of my questions, and didn't push me on getting more done than I wanted. She made me feel so comfortable I ended up doing the procedure! It was quick, minimal pain, and I am so happy with the results! My take on all parts of this business is below. Procedures: Frown Lines - I have botox to correct my frown lines around my eyebrows. While the frown lines weren't terrible to begin with, this is a preventative measure to make sure they don't worsen over time. Pain is like a 2/10 for me and there were no scars. The effects started around day three. It was weird not being able to make my "mad" face anymore. Added benefits aside from how it looks are I'm not squinting at my computer screen, my headaches have been reduced to minimal pain or nothing, and I truly believe my mood has improved because of it. I genuinely feel happier since doing this. Lip Flip - My top lip would curl under leaving a line whenever I would smile. It has been something I've been very self conscious of and originally thought I wanted a lip filler to help correct it. Meadow gave me more information about the lip flip and we decided to try that to start out instead of the lip fillers. The pain was a little more than the forehead since there are more nerves in my upper lip but they kindly put numbing gel on before hand to reduce the discomfort. Minimal bleeding but the results ended up being better than I expected. The lip flip has softened my smile preventing my lip from coming up so high it make my lip curl and now it sits beautifully above my teeth and you can see the pink of my top lip! I'm extremely happy with it and it has improved my confidence to smile in my pictures again. Overall Experience was amazing. From the people who work here, the ease of booking appointments, and help people like me feel good about themselves, I am so glad I was recommended this place. The owner also mentioned that her husband did the massage and when I explained that I couldn't have a male masseuse due to an assault I experienced, she told me I had insulted her. I found her insensitive, inflexible and harsh. When I asked for her to refund my husband's gift, all of a sudden she said she could find a female masseuse but only on a Saturday. I explained that after the contentious conversion I was not comfortable coming into their establishment. She then had her husband call me back and he told me they would exchange the half day spa treatment to a $200 gift certificate and that was final. When I called back and left a message telling them I expected a credit or we would dispute the charge on our credit card, he returned the call and said they were charging a 25% or $50 restocking fee as they weren't in the business of taking phone calls (What?). I also mentioned that he already had one negative review on the internet, and another wouldn't be good. He told me no one pays attention to internet reviews. When my husband was purchasing the gift certificate, no one ever explained that there were no substitutions and no refunds or he never would have purchased this gift for me.
