Our only experiences here have been to-go, but they were both incredible. First, my wife brought home two pizzas to serve lunch to a friend who was helping us with some home improvement tasks as a thank you. One pizza was complimentary as a "new neighbor" thank you from Firo, but we also paid for one. Both pizzas were amazing. Tip: don't skip ordering their balsamic fig drizzle. We also took advantage of their Tuesday cheese pizza special two weeks ago. Thinking we couldn't expect much from a 12" pizza for $6, we at least had that night's dinner covered. To our significant surprise, it was not only filling but of great quality. Tip: Their Tuesday night pizzas are generally ready to pick up, but it helps them if you pre-order. Their website is friendly and easy-to-use. The only thing we haven't done yet is dine-in. It's a busy life. Highly recommended for pizza if you're in the 'hood. read more

My wife and I have wanting to try Firos for a while You know the routine, heard about em, just haven't made my way to them yet. Well I can finally say we did it! And why did I wait so long?! The Subway of pizzas is what the girl that greeted us told us they are compared to, when it comes to their process. Pick your base, white or red sauce, and then choose as many toppings as you a want! I chose the traditional red sauce with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, jalapenos, red onion, jalapeños, roasted garlic, and did I mention jalapeños? Also finished it with a drizzled habanero honey. Delish! Thin crust (the way I like it and full of fresh ingredients! Wifey had the creamy-garlic white sauce with sausage, onion, jalapeños, and fresh basil leaves. She enjoyed it immensely! The crew even gave us samples of their in house made gelato while we were waiting for our pizzas to be completed. Super nice crew, and very fresh food! Will definitely be back! read more

This is a nice and unexpected lunch spot. From the outside, I thought this was a fancier, sit-down pizzeria with DeSano and Pieous type crust, but was surprised to see it's more like Blaze and Mod Pizza where you go through a line and the crust is thin and Mod Style. Not bad, just doesn't present like expected with the outside looking like an upscale Olive Garden and the inside being fast casual. My Chicken Alfredo pizza was still great and I'll be back. What's not so great: small, enclosed space and super loud music and then about 30 kids from a private, religious school showed up. I wonder if Firo knew they were coming. It was so loud, it was ridiculous. And I know they need to make money, but all the loud kids were a lot for a mostly Boomer Sun City clientele eating salads to bear. Pizza lacks a lot... not enough cheese, not enough sauce, and the crust was very overcooked and hard. salads are usually pretty great but this time was not very good, either. Firo is solid. It's one of those "Subway" pizza places and the dough is fresher than others' I've tried. The toppings are also quite nice offering things like prosciutto and capers. They also have a little gelato stand that has 3 locally sourced flavors. You can call ahead and drive up to the pick-up widow which is convenient. read more

The sad thing about that place is the atmosphere, staff and management. All look, is it invisible hospitality not very good music playing in the kitchen area very low. Shitty vibe, went in the evening fireplace, not on.It's like, you know, who's ever managing, it doesn't give a shit. There was one Afro-American girl there that was an exception. I would have given this place 4 stars, BUT you have people behind the counter who are sassy and talk back to you when you ask about something that is not acceptable as a customer. Seems like your staff are giving less and less on the pizza and the salad that we order, and then verbally spar with you when you politely come up and inquire about a few specific issues.... not good. I will try looking elsewhere, as pizza places are a dime a dozen in G-town... and some new ones are coming right down the road very soon. I visited Firo recently with my family and it was delicious! We ordered the Primo and the Carne pizzas. Both were excellent- great crust and toppings. I was particularly fond of the Primo with the Gorgonzola and fig drizzle. The restaurant was super clean. The employees were all very courteous and welcoming. Whew. Let me tell you! When we first pulled up, I was weary of the quality and taste. They weary soon was burned away by the first taste of my BYO pizza! The lady working did a spectacular job on layering the items I wanted and didn't overindulge on any one item (which made the pizza perfectly weighted and not too soggy or saggy) like some places do. Secondly, after filling up and surprisingly have leftovers...wow I never have those (I was confused)...we walked over to the Gelato counter and I order their "small" biscotti gelato and my wife ordered raspberry gelato. This is along the same lines as MOD Pizza, just to give a reference. But in my opinion a much better place. The crust is chewy after being toasted in the oven. Staff is very friendly. Kid-friendly as well. Salads are great and fresh. Haven't tried the gelato. When I'm up in the area and my little one wants pizza, this is the place we'll go. read more

Very good pizza.. think of Mod Pizza but with better crust and way better toppings... we got the Primo pizza with the balsamic and fig drizzle... damn good pie... we also tried the "Texas Twinkie" and it was just as fantastic. The two stars are based on previous experiences. We are use to not having a problem and come often. Tonight, 6:05pm Friday night, there were seven workers on the line and no one was helping the couple in front of us. They had to wait 15 minutes prior to us getting there, their first time dining there. I asked the first food server why so long, no other customers there and he said all workers were taking care of an online order. Finally after another 15 minutes of getting the first couples order and additional waiting, they didn't acknowledge my husband and I at all. Changing out food bins even though not empty, no one looked up at us. We were the only ones and even the lady at the register who doesn't do anything else didn't say a word and saw us. I had to ask for help and they seemed reluctant. Really weird for the people who come into dine that not one person acknowledged us until I asked and completely ignored us. The primo and the carne are my type of pizza! When you don't want a major chain like pizza, this needs to be your next stop. It wasn't too thin or thick. I ate here twice during my last visit. We did takeout which is very conveniently picked up at a drive thru window. The pizza crust is so good and the specialty pizzas are creative and delicious. I love the pizza here when they get it right. That said, they seem to have experienced complete turnover in management and staff in recent months. They all could use more training.
