On the morning of December 24th, I took my 14 year-old daughter to First Aid Urgent Care in Tujunga. She had a terrible cough and 102.5 degree fever. They brought us into a room, took my daughter's height and weight, then checked her for the flu. Results came back negative. We waited over an hour for the doctor to arrive. When she finally did, the doctor breezed in, listened to her cough a couple times, then almost instantly diagnosed my daughter with a bad cold going around. She told us Tylenol and rest were the best way to address her sickness, and said it would run its course in the next few days. All follow up questions were immediately (and quite condescendingly) dismissed. We were skeptical, but thought we were receiving diagnosis from an expert, and so went on our way. The following morning (Christmas Day), my daughter woke up in dire straits. Her fever had increased, and overall condition had worsened so much that we had to take her to the emergency room. After taking several tests, the doctor there diagnosed her with pneumonia, and a strong case of the flu. They pumped her full of fluids and antibiotics, intravenously. After spending several hours there, and prescribing antibiotics to address her condition, they sent my daughter home, finally feeling better. The day after Christmas, I called the Tujunga First Aid Urgent Care, trying to get an explanation for their gross misdiagnosis. They said I'd get a call by the end of the day. Nothing. I called the next day, reiterating my concern with the doctor who provided my daughter care, and relaying the story of our miserable Christmas spent in the emergency room, because of it. Once again, they said I'd receive a call by the end of the day. Nothing. The following day, I finally hounded one of the staff into providing some sort of explanation. They told me the doctor was in a hurry, and the flu test they took isn't as precise as the one in the emergency room. I replied that, at the very least, they should refund my copay, and refrain from billing my insurance. They told me they'd need approval for this, and would get back to me shortly. They never did. I don't write reviews like this lightly. Please, do not go the First Aid Urgent Care in Tujunga. The staff lacks competence to diagnose illnesses properly, and they refuse to take accountability for the mistakes they make. Thanks to them, our Christmas Day was ruined. read more

I went in and they took me in right away. The girl at the front desk was very sweet and professional. The office was clean and inviting. The nurse took me in and made sure I was comfortable, checked all vitals. The doctor was a young doctor, but very knowledgeable and thorough. You have to take the time to explain treatments to your patients, especially when you're recommending something with serious side effects to a minor. We came in for a check up on our kids with flulike symptoms. Parking was tough but then we found the downstairs parking they also have an elevator. The place was clean, restroom smelled fresh and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, they were prompt, kind and compassionate. We were seen by Jessica the provider who was exceptional! She was knowledgeable and seemed very experienced. She recognised the symptoms weren't solely associated with the flu but then discovered an ear infection which I had completely missed. Highly recommended and will be back again, expect the wait to be be on the longer side since they're busy but it's 100% worth every second. read more

Had to call 3 times for them to send a prescription until finally the pharmacist at CVS had to call in and take the prescription over the phone. Should've told THEM to wait for their payment too. Some of their advertised services are: vaccine administration, drug screening, employment physicals, and treatment of work-related injuries. Except for work related injuries none are URGENT, while concerning work related injuries, you'll find out they don't have an X-ray facility. My wife had breathing difficulties and she urgently needed a chest X-ray. Fortunately I called and they said they offered no imaging services. How in the world would they treat a work injury that consisted in a bone fracture. How about pneumonia or internal bleeding? This outfit is a medical facility, but shouldn't call itself a "First Aid Urgent Care". Two stars for false advertising. read more

Brought my very sicks 4 year old this morning. And was greeted with a very friendly staff. They saw him right away. The nurses and doctor were very sweet. Do I sound alright??? I told the nurse that my fingers are folding inside and I think my blood pressure is low which she checked with the machine and it was true. I told the doctor that I have a low blood pressure now and my fingers are folding inside. He said: and that is the sign for low blood pressure? I was like dude you think you know my body better than me? I lived in this body long enough to know all my reactions. As a matter of fact your nurse took my blood pressure and it was low, didn't you check that? I am telling you I am shaking now and I had fever the whole night. He said: just take some advil! Well duh!!! If I was gonna take some advil then why would I waited here for two hours for nothing. As matter of fact I had fever the whole day after I visited that so called doctor. My brother was in a bad car accident and feeling very woozy with burns and cuts on his body, they were the closest urgent care that was still open and within his health network so we made our way over for a checkup. Once we mentioned he was in an accident, they said their policy was that if the injury was due to a car accident, they would bill the auto insurance instead of health insurance. WTF is that about? We spoke with our lawyer and that's definitely NOT the law. He has great health insurance, so we asked if they would just use that for billing and they wouldn't! I just took my daughter in for two issues and after collecting my money they stated they can only advise me on one of the issues.
