I have been here multiple times either for my child having a fever or for myself when I'm sick. I can honestly say that the wait isn't too long and the staff is so energetic and enthusiastic about their work. The care that the doctors and medical assistants put into the appointment is beyond satisfaction. Every time I go, my daughter gets stickers and I get educated more on how sicknesses occur and what I could do at home to help. Just recently I called to see if I should come in to the urgent care or to an ER and the receptionist was so nice to ask the doctor and really put care when she didn't have to. This time, I came in because I had an eye infection and needed to see a doctor. Unfortunately, my interaction with the front desk employee, Carla, was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. While checking in, the app wasn't working correctly, so I had to ask a few questions. Each time I approached her, she responded with an unfriendly attitude that made me feel uncomfortable asking for help. After waiting for some time, she called me up loudly enough for everyone in the waiting room to hear and announced that my insurance could not be verified. I politely explained that my insurance is processed through Allied and suggested that she check with them, as we encounter similar situations where I work. Instead of looking into it further, she responded with an attitude and told me I would have to pay $195. By that point, the entire experience had become so negative that I simply asked her to cancel my paperwork and left without being seen. I work in healthcare myself, and I understand how important customer service and patient care are. The front desk is often the first impression patients have of a clinic, and treating people with kindness, respect, and professionalism should always be a priority. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing due to our interaction with the front desk receptionist, I think her name is Karla. She spoke with a rude tone and came across as dismissive when patients asked questions or shared concerns. Coming to urgent care is already stressful, and patients should not feel uncomfortable or unwelcome when they arrive. I do want to emphasize that the PAs and nurses here are always excellent. Im so glad i found this place 5 years ago. Fast, friendly caring service. Ive had bad wounds addressed and most recently treatment for a dog tooth slight puncture on my arm. I am so grateful for the care I received at Burbank Urgent Care. I sustained a small dog bite and wanted to get it checked out just to be on the safe side. I came in at 7pm and they close at 8pm, the receptionist asked if I had a reservation to which I responded no and she kindly let me know that they were no longer taking walk-ins for the evening. She asked for my insurance information and was helping me find other urgent cares in the area which I greatly appreciated. While my family members and I were also looking up other urgent cares, the receptionist somehow found a way to squeeze me in and let me stay. The check-in process was easy - I did everything on my phone. I did not have to wait long at all. Joe took me to the room and obtained my medical history and he was very friendly. I was assisted by PA Melisa who took a look at my wound and assured me that it was fine, provided me with care instructions and prescribed some antibiotics just be safe. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes! In addition, the facility was clean with ample parking. I am so appreciative of the service I received here!! read more

We came in today after an incident with our 5 month old baby. This was our first time having to take her to urgent care and I was incredibly nervous. I'm the type of mom that has done an obnoxious amount of research before choosing a pediatrician or dentist so going to a place somewhat blindly was nerve wracking. Had to come here due to a knee problem. Walked in early afternoon and it was fairly busy. You can check in and fill out out registration forms via your phone or papers from the front desk; the phone form was pretty quick. The wait was about an hour but once you were called in, it wasn't too much of a wait to be seen. The front desk lets you know how long the wait will be and even gives you the option to come back at the allotted time, which is great. Dr. Lee was wonderful! Such a kind and thorough doctor. Made sure to go through everything with me and wanted to follow up. The staff here is also very kind and caring. Kim was amazing! Absolutely worst urgent care ever. Front desk always rude and racist. After waiting for an hour, I asked how much longer, was told an hour. After two hours, asked how much longer and that it's almost our turn right? Probably one person that I know was left before us since we got there, she tells me no there's 6 people ahead of us still. I'm like how? There's one person here I see. She tells me they had reservations to which I say how? They were not waiting here like you told us and everyone else that they need to wait here and not leave. She's being racist since she clearly has our information and knows that we're not Hispanic. You wasted 2 hours of our Saturday and failed to tell us when we got there that we will be waiting for at least 3 hours to be seen, which is absolutely ridiculous!!!! I love this place - Dr. Lee is fantastic. Best bedside manner I've seen in a doctor. He's treated my youngest child twice now, once from a fall when she was an infant and recently with an injured elbow that needed to be reset. He saw her immediately and didn't require us to wait 90 minutes as walk-ins due to her young age, which I REALLY appreciated. He made sure she was completely better and took great and quick care of her. I hope he never leaves! I went in to Burbank Urgent Care with a painful allergy reaction. I was able to hold out until I was seen by the doctor though. In short, this is an Urgent Care Facility I would certainly recommend. A quick note: come with your Health-insurance card ready, and preferred pharmacy picked. It will speed up the check-in process. Dr. Devaraj was concise, experienced, and to the point. He diagnosed me properly and prescribed me some medication which has helped my symptoms. Respectfully, the bedside manner of the staff seem weathered; likely from seeing several ailing patients day-to-day. But I would say they are very professional. So rest assured you are seemingly in good hands. ----- PSA Directions: 'Burbank Urgent Care' is the smaller Door to the right of the main entrance. Again, to the right. The larger Front Door is to OSS Health Network and their staff is --VERY rude and uncaring. Luckily, Burbank Urgent Care is next door! ------ Overall, my experience here was not as sympathetic as some Kaiser facilities I've been too, but healthcare is a tough job --and fortunately they know what they're doing here. First of all it's like walking into a real doctor's office. Professional all the way. Receptionists are competent and efficient. Medical professionals are knowledgeable and compassionate. They listened to what I had to say and asked the right questions. They were able to do both bloodwork and an X-ray right in the office, which was super convenient and helped me feel reassured he was really listening to my concerns and the symptoms I was having. The people at the reception desk were rude. Per a conversation a few people were having, at least one of them doesn't support vaccinations, which is fine, but nobody their had on masks regularly, especially in the vicinity of patients. Also, -- and this is totally unrelated, but still weird -- I happened to lock eyes a couple times with one of the people at the desk just because she was walking around and happened to be in my line of sight, and she actually like mean-mugged me? Like lowered her face and stared at me over her glasses. Kind of funny, but also really unprofessional and on par with the way she interacted with me and the other patients who came in. Wait times and stuff are totally understandable. And with today's climate, I get if people who work in the healthcare industry aren't super friendly all the time. But you don't have to go out of you way to be mean to people, especially if they're already worried enough to go to an urgent care clinic. HOWEVER, when I got to finally see the doctor, he was super attentive and diagnosed me after some thorough testing. I did physical therapy soon after, and it was extremely effective because of his diagnosis. read more

While the staff was very nice and Dr. Lee seemed efficient and competent my overall impression is not great for a few reasons. I chose Burbank UC because my doctor recommended them. I thought I might have a bad sprain because I had twisted my ankle the previous Sunday and the pain had not gone away. As expected Dr. Lee ordered an X-ray. I had purchased a sleeve from the drug store to stabilize the ankle and Dr. Lee seemed to think that was adequate for a sprain. He gave me (5) 5mg Norco for pain. (Friday). I was told the X-rays would be emailed to me before the end of business on Friday. When the pain worsened I used the chat method to communicate with the clinic well before 5pm. No response. When I hadn't heard by 5pm I again used the chat method asking where the report was, no response. On Saturday morning I phoned and was told they had no email on file for me. That was inaccurate as I had specifically put my preferred method of communication was my gmail account because it pops up instantly on my phone and I was anxious. My phone number was also on the form I submitted so I'm not sure why someone didn't call and ask (again) for my email address? When I reviewed the report it looked like I have a fracture. My brother is a retired physical therapist who told me to get a boot and that surgery probably would not be required if I stabilized the ankle. It was now Saturday and if I had gotten the X-ray as promised on Friday I could have gotten a boot and a cane which I'll need. The woman at BUC told me I'd have to pay $80 for a boot and a cane would also be out of pocket despite the fact my insurance covers both. So no, I don't think I'd use this facility again. Had I not followed up diligently as I did I wouldn't hold BUC responsible but it's my feeling they dropped the ball and couldn't be bothered to get in touch with me regarding care of my ankle which is worse than originally thought. read more
