I had a question for my artist whom I texted a week before my wedding (end of March) to ask, only to find out that she no longer worked for the company and left mid-February. Neither my planner or I were informed of this, or were re-booked a trial with a new artist, which I found completely unacceptable. After calling this out, Makiaj booked me a re-trial on the Thursday before my wedding. This caused me a TON of stress on my wedding week, which could have been easily avoided. Trials are meant to be used to make changes, which if this was done on my wedding day, would have caused delays in the wedding day schedule. My new artist said she had my on her schedule mid-February, but Makiaj just didn't schedule a re-trial for me. I am still giving Makiaj 2 stars because their master artists (the artists for the brides) are extremely talented. Shout out to Jada, who's foundation and skin work is AMAZING!

After being matched with a stylist, she called me late in the evening and told me she accidentally accepted the appointment and I'd need to cancel and resubmit my request. Frustrating, but I resubmitted. Ten hours goes by; no match with a stylist. I call customer service who told me "oh, you were on our list." I told them that I'd switch up services, pay for elite, and even changed my appointment time. Get a call 40 mins before my appointment telling me that they can't find anyone and that I'm out of luck. No suggestions in an attempt to find a solution, no offer of an incentive for me to come back and give them another chance, and no real apology. Not the type of customer service that I received in Vegas and certainly not what I'd expect from a premium service. Disappointing and now left scrambling.

She was very sweet and hard-working. My makeup looked great for about 2 hours, and then with the wedding being outside, and it was hot, and the makeup on my face did not stay put. My face got sweaty and oily. I did not know that airbrush makeup was available and would have opted for that. I love the concept of primp and blow, and they definitely offer a much needed service for us ladies who need primping for an event. The salon is super modern, and clean. Overall my stylist did well, but I don't think a regular blowout is for me, as I have ultra straight hair and it doesn't style well in curls or rollers.

I immediately looked them up on Yelp and saw great reviews so I came in. The price seemed a little on the high side but they are in old town Scottsdale which is an expensive area. So I said screw it and let's splurge a little. From my moment I arrived the stylist Nikki noticed my hair needed a special shampoo after she ran her hands through it. The shampoo was called a clarifying shampoo. I'm 40 and no one has ever once used that on me before I didn't even know what it meant. But I really felt like there was attention to detail happening from the moment I walked in. I got a cut from her and she asked my goals and made some immediate recommendations and gave me some options. I picked to grow it out more so we didn't layer it yet. And she styled my head really nicely and suggested a product that was lighter on my hair that I should use and she showed me how she styled it. She also gave me a blowout and did some really fancy style in the back of my hair too. I got my hair color done by her too and she's the first one to notice the parts of my hair that had more stubborn follicles and she went into it with more detail and made extra passes in those parts. Lastly when she did my beard she put aluminum metal sheets over it so the color sets in better, no one has done that with me either. I don't remember everything she said in detail but she spoke like she was a true expert of hair and color. Not your typical stylist that just knows how to do the job, she's a real professional. Lastly she's super friendly and personable, and she made the entire experience very delightful. Worth every penny and more, I'll definitely be coming back here for my hair.
