I just want to start by saying I've never felt rushed at this salon. I have seen Tabitha a few times now and each time I leave happy and beautiful. She has helped validate my curly hair situation giving me extra attention at the bowl and has never made me feel like a burden for having THICK hair. THIS SALON IS A SCAM AND THEY CHARGE YOU EXTRA AT CHECK OUT. Look at the pics, tell me that is the Balayage?!!!!!! I called said I wanted a partial Balayage but I need to discuss with my hairstylist. I went to the store after 40 mins I called and discussed with my hairstylist Yuli, then decided to do a full highlight $199. This was clearly discussed and confirmed with my stylist (Yuli) before the service started(they have the camera). The highlights were done from the root, which is consistent with a traditional full highlight--not balayage. At checkout, the owner suddenly claimed that I had received a balayage instead and increased the price to $250. This was never discussed or agreed to beforehand. On top of that, I was charged an additional $145 for toner, which also was not clearly explained in advance. I paid $370 for a full highlight When I questioned the charge, the explanation kept changing, they said it took a lot time and it was actually a Balayage, I felt pressured into paying for a service I did not receive. The situation escalated to the point where the police were called by owner, which was completely unnecessary and intimidating. The owner was super rude the whole time, she kept yelling at me and said a lot of bad words. She is Vietnamese but she is super racist towards Asian. This experience felt misleading and unprofessional. Pricing should always be transparent and agreed upon before the service, not changed at the end. I would file a claim and not recommend this salon to anyone based on my experience. read more

I found the vidogi salon by total chance. Today I was driving and saw it was near my hotel in Scottsdale so I called and asked if they had last minute availability and they did. I immediately looked them up on Yelp and saw great reviews so I came in. The price seemed a little on the high side but they are in old town Scottsdale which is an expensive area. So I said screw it and let's splurge a little. From my moment I arrived the stylist Nikki noticed my hair needed a special shampoo after she ran her hands through it. The shampoo was called a clarifying shampoo. I'm 40 and no one has ever once used that on me before I didn't even know what it meant. But I really felt like there was attention to detail happening from the moment I walked in. I got a cut from her and she asked my goals and made some immediate recommendations and gave me some options. I picked to grow it out more so we didn't layer it yet. And she styled my head really nicely and suggested a product that was lighter on my hair that I should use and she showed me how she styled it. She also gave me a blowout and did some really fancy style in the back of my hair too. I got my hair color done by her too and she's the first one to notice the parts of my hair that had more stubborn follicles and she went into it with more detail and made extra passes in those parts. Lastly when she did my beard she put aluminum metal sheets over it so the color sets in better, no one has done that with me either. I don't remember everything she said in detail but she spoke like she was a true expert of hair and color. Not your typical stylist that just knows how to do the job, she's a real professional. Lastly she's super friendly and personable, and she made the entire experience very delightful. Worth every penny and more, I'll definitely be coming back here for my hair. read more

I am overall very pleased with Vidogi salon. They do an amazing job and they do it fast. I did not want my hair to turn out orange or copper and they did that perfectly when many other salons fail to do so, leaving you with an orange hue. The owner is very nice, as well as the employees. They all seem to love what they do. The owner has been doing hair for 20+ years so she definitely knows what she's doing. As for availability, I called about one and a half hours before they closed for a last minute highlight, and they allowed me to come in and they even stayed late so they could make my hair perfect! The only downside about this salon is it is very pricey. Be prepared to spend $450+ for something like a full highlight/ balayage. You do definitely get what you pay for, as it's done very well with quality service, but it's still very pricey. Overall, I would come back again, and I probably will, but I'll have to come prepared to spend some money! read more

I have been seeing Nikki for the about 4 years now and she's a magician with my hair . She absolutely knows what suits your hair best and will only recommend what's the absolute best to do and will also take you through every step in the process with great care . Between us we've done red , blue and purple highlights and a whole bunch of different cuts and I've always been happy about the end results and how great they stay on me months after the service until I see her again . What constitutes the "STYLE" part of the Cut and Style? If you go, be sure to ask upfront what the cost will be to cut and style your hair! Bri did such a nice job on my cut last week. I came in very late at night close to closing which I hated doing but I figured I'd try because I just needed a dry cut no wash/style and she took me in and I didn't feel rushed or an inconvenience. It was a lot to cut off but she took her time. We had nice conversation and found out we were from the same place back home. The place was pretty much empty but I could tell it was a nice spot with regular clientele. Highly recommend going there. I the entire street is full of salons but this was 10/10. Thanks again Bri! Denise failed in an epic way by cutting my hair off instead of the half an inch I requested at the very start. Then she wanted to use a thinning shears and I told her no I do not like those on my hair and she used it anyway and cut the rest of my hair off. I use a large brush and a small brush and I can't even get the small brush around my hair. The length on the sides is less than two fingers. To top it off I was told her rate is $105 after the fact. Her staff should've disclosed the rate when they booked the appointment and she should not have cut my hair off. She was 20 minutes late for the appointment so there wasn't much of a consultation because of her tardiness. As the owner I would expect more from her. Save your money and go somewhere else. I asked her to refund $60 of the $120 that I paid her to make it right but she has not responded. I guess the money is more important to her than customer satisfaction. read more

I'm so sad to leave a bad review because I do believe Denise has talent. The customer service aspect is not her forte. Her prices are on the high end but was worth it to me to have a good cut and color. When I went for my scheduled appointment, her assistant gave the worst shampoo I have ever experienced. Not a huge ordeal. Then put in conditioner that we agreed on 5 minutes as I wanted to stay on schedule. I waited over 15 min back in the shampoo area and no one came back to rinse out or check in. The assistant walked toward me , no eye contact and turned and stood chit chatting with another stylist. Denise did not have a customer , she was up front chit chatting with 2 women. So I walked out, told her she ignored her customer. The crazy thing is , she texted me and instead of apologizing , she asked why I would leave over something so minor. My hope is that she learns to pay attention to her customers because it would be a shame to waste her talent . read more

A waste of time. Made an appointment for a full blonde highlight. At the appt 10 minutes early. Denise ran approximately 20 minutes late, then when she walked me to a chair, left to take an aproximate 10 minutes phone call. piff. I then told Denise I wanted a full highlight. Denise said that would be $165, but first we would have to cover my gray with brown, or maybe a dark blonde and that would be an extra $250. I explained my appt is for a highlight, not a full cover in brown. I love my beautiful gray! Then she went on trying to convince me thats the correct way to do a highlight. When we did a HMU trial, she made sure to ask if there was anything that I wanted to change so that it was perfect for the wedding day. She really listened to what I envisioned! Her team (Lily and Malora) also did 3 of my bridesmaids' makeup and 2 of my bridesmaids' hair. My bridesmaids and I all felt so beautiful the day of the wedding. I always love coming to Vidogi! Every time I come in I leave with so many compliments. I came in with black hair with the end goal of going blonde. My hair appointment was split into two sessions to ensure minimal damage, which I appreciate! I have extremely stubborn Asian hair so the fact they were able to get me so blonde within two sessions is amazing. The first session was done by Lily, Fernanda, and Cairo and the second session was done by Fernanda and Keila. Each session was coached by Denise. Denise is an expert when it comes to color! She knew exactly what to add when my hair came out too brassy/orange and fixed the color immediately. As you can see in the photos, my first session already came out such an amazing color. If I wasn't planning to go blonde, I would've kept the color! But my second session came out so perfect. I had very little breakage after dying it only a week apart. They definitely know what they're doing. I would 100% recommend this salon to anyone! I got an absolutely amazing haircut (Mens medium/long hair) from Sheriya (maybe butchered name, sorry), and I am *very* difficult to please with a haircut. Typically I hate haircuts to the point where I don't want to leave the house, but I was legitimately smiling when leaving (both from my hair and the chill vibe they had going on). I called in hopes to do a color correction on the work done by A DIFFERENT salon. I left the other salon with hair that was unidimensional and way darker than I had wanted. The lady on the phone suggested I text a few photos of the problem and what the goal was and paired me with Caitlin to help. Caitlin couldn't have been nicer. We went over some photos of what I wanted and she explained all my options. I took the risk of trying to lighten my freshly colored dark hair. Caitlin was super attentive and meticulous- she did a balayage and a toner. I left with EXACTLY what I hoping to achieve- my hair looked dynamic and the warm brown I was hoping for. Unfortunately, if you are looking for someone to listen to what you are wanting, move along. I saw Crystal for a much needed cut and baylage. (I was scheduled with someone else, but somehow got passed on to her.) I'm not sure she knows how to do baylage, as I think it was just a free-hand highlight job with a toner put on. She did not listen and did not want to do what I was asking. I asked for an all over color, to fix my dull pandemic hair, with a medium-toned baylage, to add dimension. She didn't want to do the all over, but I insisted. (I do have a few greys, and my hair was dull looking.) I wanted a few inches cut off, and maybe ended up with one. When I called back within a week for a correction, I was given the run around. From them thinking I was a solicitor...what!?..., to not believing I was a client, to even threatening to bring in lawyers. Omg! Seriously!? Finally, I was able to get in touch and schedule with Denise, the owner, for the correction. She pretended to listen, but I still didn't come out with what I wanted...or even close. I pull a warm red tint at times that I don't like. I always let anyone who touches my hair know that, and I ended up with it both times. Their fix is a toner that fades quickly. The atmosphere is not great either. It's a bit more professional when Denise is there, but a free for all when she is not. I would not recommend Vidogi to my least favorite person. read more

It's summer so of course I wanted to go very light and I have darker stubborn Asian hair that likes to be all brassy. It's very important to me that my hair stylist knows how to deal with Asian hair and Denise totally does. I showed Denise what I wanted and she was honest and explained everything from the process, post care, potential damage, and that it cannot happen in one session. I appreciate that she took the time to manage my expectations. She also provided a quote for the color before we began which was a little less that $300.
