Of course there are times when buses don't show up or airlines are not cooperating but that is when the proprietors shine, they make the next arrangement and we are on our way. I went in already knowing what flights I wanted and where I wanted to stay...how hard was this for her to book... well let me tell you about the colossal error she made in booking my trip. I flew into Panama City and out to Bocas Del Toro on the first day. I was then SUPPOSED to fly out of Bocas and into Panama City at the end of my trip to spend a day and a 1/2 exploring the city before heading back to the states. First of all, she changed the flight from the morning to the afternoon (there are only 2 flights a day), from the quote to the booking, Taking away a good portion of my trip to Panama City. But to make matters even worse.... SHE BOOKED MY RETURN TICKET FROM BOCAS TO PANAMA CITY FOR THE WRONG DATE! (I was there in February and my ticket was booked for March!) On my itinerary, it was the correct date, but when I arrived at the Bocas airport, they showed me that it was booked for a different date and told me I couldn't fly out until the next day. I had to run around trying to find a hotel room and changed my flights. I got the last hotel room in Bocas (it is the size of a single street). Then upon my return, she argued with me over paying for the hotel room. Saying that it was too much and I must have charged food to my room (AS IF I COULD HAVE). I also booked drivers thru her and didn't utilize one of my drivers (DUE TO HER ERROR) and she refused to refund that money also. DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH ALMA! SHE HAS PROVEN TO ME TO BE INCOMPETENT AND HER CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ATROCIOUS!

Due to tropical storm Bill, we were stuck in Houston for 3 days due to United cancelled flights to Costa Rica. I was in contact with my travel agent who was in contact with Alma. They did everything to change the transfers, hotels in a never ending few days of constant changes. Even once in CR, they worked with the resort to extend our stay a couple of days. They worked with the other resort to change dates. Once we were in Puerto Viejo, we learned once again Mother Nature was at it and there was a storm that caused a landslide. We were a 5 hour car trip from the airport. We requested the time be changed to leave earlier and once again, it came through. We are very pleased with the service we received from not only our agent but from Alama and Eco. We are planning on going back and I will not hesitate to use them again.

I was then told thanks and that we were good to go and he would see me tomorrow. Today apparently while everyone was not at home they were calling the house several times looking for me in a panic. Eventually my wife got home and called to confirm everything was still on track only to discover they were in crisis mode. My wife was told that I gave them a "false" address and that they had been calling and texting all day with no answer. Well since it was the home phone and not a cell that would explain that. Also he had my credit card... if I was really trying to waste his time would I have given that in advance??? Then he got overly rude with her while she was trying to give him directions to our home. Being that it is a new address its not in some older GPS road databases. Which apparently is what he was using. Mind you google/bing/yahoo/mapquest all know where my address is. His tone and way he was disrespecting my wife on the phone was uncalled for and as unprofessional as you can get. When I called him to let him know that his services were no longer needed he was even rude to me. Never once apologized and then eventually hung up on me. Great way to treat customers and run your business. I think not! Book at your own risk.

We started the trip with what I can say was a can't be beat resort stay here. We each had our own king rooms that honestly almost made me hate my own home. From the start of the stay pulling up to the security gate and getting greeted with so much energy and friendliness then being handed a rosemary bag to bring you into the mood. Immediately I knew I would love this place. The valets were great. The lobby staff were great. I was at the resort for two days and I swear I never touched a door to open. My room was ready early which was a bonus and the room. Again just great. Spacious. Ultra clean. All the amenities you could want. Fridge bar area. Fireplace. Sliding double doors to a private patio overlooking a fantastic golf course. Giant bathroom with separate soaking tub that was divine. I could review the golf all by itself. Super nice caddy Jack who it was a pleasure to spend the day working alongside and perfect weather because it can certainly get hot out there. We had a catered private lunch and then we had dinner in the bar area and everything was, you guess it, perfect. I will be back it's just a matter of when.
