Update 1/2020: I hate 3G sessions. 3G is when you have three groups Rather than the normal two…read moregroups an orange 60 session. An orange 60 session has up to 24 people. And orange 3G session has up to 36 people. That little space is already crowded with 24 people. It is horrible when there are 36 people in there. I am pretty sure the only reason they do 3G sessions is because of more demand for certain time of day. For example a lot of people want to work out on Saturday and Sunday mornings. So they do the 3G sessions. The heart rate monitors are off and not reliable. It seems like every other session mine cuts out on me for a few minutes. I see other people struggling with theirs as well. I don't know if there's a manufacturing defect in a lot of them or something else. But you pay 100 bucks for that Little monitor that cost the studio probably less than five dollars. They should be quick to replace them when they don't work. Or maybe change the technology. One thing that needs improvement is the sound system. If you are on treadmill seven your ears get blown out. Where as on treadmill number one it is a little too quiet. Also can you please figure out a simple hook for those straps. They are always falling off and swinging out. How hard could it be to buy some sort of little hook for them. Rather than trying to hook them on the dumbbell stand? One good thing this studio did in 2020 Was to put a five minute gap between class end and and the next class start time. That does help with the crowdedness at the locker area. I wish this studio would move into a larger space. It is still super tight in the waiting area. Hopefully their lease will end soon and the owner will get smart and move to a bigger space in the same shopping center. My review for 8/2019: Hello. I really like orange theory. i cannot find your "freeze" policy. Can u post a link please

It doesn't say anywhere that showing up exactly 30 minutes before class is required. A lot of planning went into us getting to OT for an 8a class (we are four moms) but that didn't change anything. Lack of support/encouragement from a gym is honestly shocking. Not sure if we should be working out at a gym that doesn't care about their members.

After relocating from the Charlotte area, I was looking for a new gym to call home! I loved my…read moreprevious gym, so it was going to be hard to top, however Crossfit Brave as done just that. I had tried two other gyms prior to Brave, and I knew instantly after my first class with David (owner) that this was the gym for me. David quickly offered me another class to try because he truly wants athletes to find the gym that is best for them! David's philosophy and approach to CrossFit has created a sense of community that can only be described as family. Head coach and head programmer Delaney will be your biggest cheerleader through every work out. She gives each athlete the attention, modifications, coaching and encouragement that they need. Crossfit can be intimidating, but Brave is the most welcoming community of people with athletes at all levels of ability. I've not only gained physical strength, but lifelong friends here at Brave. Give Crossfit Brave a try and you will not regret it!

The class structure, the coaching, and the facilities have helped me improve my overall health and fitness significant. The big different with Brave, though, is the community. I've made some wonderful friends here, people who challenge me to be the best version of myself and keep showing up every day.

The format is not for everyone, but I love working out outside (even if it's in a parking lot and it's hot and humid or really cold), the trainers are very engaging, the community is a lot of fun, and the workouts have a surprising amount of variety for just using 2 dumbbells and a mat. Downside for me (and most everyone) is the app, but that's not enough to affect my rating.

But then they starting eliminating camps--cutting times and locations until there were hardly any left. Then they changed the format which wound up giving me pains and injuries. So earlier this year, I decided to switch to the online option, paying $19 per month. Today we get an email saying they are raising the rate to $30 per month--a 58% increase! It took 2.5 hours and multiple attempts to finally get a live person for me to speak to about cancelling my membership. I was told I couldn't do so--the one-year contract I signed stated that it is subject to increases. 58%!!! Stay away from any form of Camp Gladiator in any form!!!
