I've been in this business for 30 years. I've done business in Southern PA, Maryland, California, New Jersey, Rhode Island, East Durham, etc. They intentionally gave us reassurances about costs and requirements which tripled and quadrupled while cutting off our access. If this place doesn't want you, they are not subtle about it. Your local Burger King may have a kid's playground. May I suggest having your event there rather than trying to deal with the intentionally l-evasive staff, who will work hard to make it impossible for you to even know your requirements, will change them months after and essentially destroy most of your work. i have worked with or tried to work with as many local venues as possible. The last time I had an experience like this, the Meadowlands guy, who had a thick ruby ring and did not know the event business, said, "Good price, eh? You gotta double it for all our workers. We didn't want to mention it until you looked hook." If these are good, honest people, they've decided to save all of that for someone else, We keep quoting direct documentary evidence and the town keeps just ignoring it - why not? They have all the power, none of the honest.

Also, the ride that's like the Sasquatch at 6flags kinda shook concerningly when it got to the top ?? And the Ferris wheel made weird cracking noises ?? Also the truck show or whatever is ridiculously loud and obnoxious

The parking was easy to access and ended up being free, which was appreciated. The free parking was not close to the venue and required a walk including walking to an elevated foot path which goes down hill on arrival and uphill on the way back. Closer parking was available but it's not free (didn't get an opportunity to see the rates.) the walk wasn't too bad about 10 minutes total. Check in process was easy. You have to go through a detection system and if you have a purse they will check it. Clear bags only. The venue really is so lovely with all of the surrounding trails and nature. Lawn chairs are available for rental. Food and drink selection was large. They had many open food/drink vendors, so there really were no lines. The only major line noticed was for artists merchandise, as they only had one tent for this. I also saw lots of bathrooms and even a drinking fountain. We had lawn seats and enjoyed the fun vibe going on that evening. Music sounded great and as the sun went down it made for a great concert environment. My only complaint was my fellow concert goes smoking cigarettes and throwing the butts on the grass where people are trying to enjoy the show. Really didn't like being surrounded by cigarette butts and having to look out for this. Not something the venue can control, but still nasty nonetheless.

Upon arriving and waiting on the long line to attend the show lugging my back pack which contained nothing but a change of shoes and a mini raincoat. I was told I could not go in to see the concert because my "bag" was too big and didn't fit the framed box outlined on the table at security check point. I thought how silly it was like checking into the airport with a baggage carry on that was too large. I politely ask if I was going to get my money back for the ticket I purchased I was told NO. They claim the sent emails I checked there was nothing but emails for up coming concerts overload from SPAC very disappointe. Hence BAD experience for me at SPAC as a ticket holder and guest. I asked what was I supposed to do with my bag they suggested I find a bush or take the content out and throw my back pack away. Not to mention my back pack was from the Sara Boutique and cost $150 The ticket was $59 for the lawn view of the concert. SPAC PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ geez.

They have people standing outside to ensure you're welcomed and informed of the correct entrance on the side of the building. I found that incredibly helpful! Upon walking in, another staff member was there to point us in the right direction of the ticket booth. When we got to the main lobby, another staff member asked if it was our first time there. We said yes and they welcomed us and gave us helpful information, including the location of the bathrooms, ticket booth and bar. We walked up two flights of stairs to the main room where our seats were located and throughout the journey upstairs, there were staff members there to ensure we knew where to go. When we walked into the main room, we were blown away with how beautiful the former church was. The lighting was incredible and since it's a smaller venue, the floor seats were so close to the stage. Overall, the acoustics were awesome and the show we saw was great. Their programming is really good and there's always something new to discover! Throughout the night, we must've interacted with nearly a dozen staff members - most of whom were volunteers. Their passion for UPH was infectious and I can't overstate how welcomed we felt. Highly recommend this venue!

What a gem. What a vibe. WHAT a cocktail menu…read more Tucked away, totally unpretentious, but with a STAGGERING, almost-unbelievable range of martinis and martini-adjacent cocktails in this fall/winter-perfect, cozy, mostly-paneled speakeasy that's also evocative of a semi-secret lobby bar of an old hotel (it's not though!) Even the music selections made it sound like prohibition era jazz standards were drifting in from another room. It manages to be simultaneously totally old school and totally hip, fancy-feeling and swanky, but also with the ease of a local watering hole... no easy feat. From t-shirts to suits, locals to newbies, it has a totally come-as-you-are, everybody's-welcome atmosphere. Even the locals made us feel at home, giving us great insight into several restaurants all less than a block or two away. Wines and beers also available, but mixology is the main act here. We were there over two separate bartender shifts, both times on a quiet Sunday late-afternoon into evening, but both gents have it all down to a science without forsaking the art of crafting a cocktail. They pushed my formerly-favorite Manhattan (at NYC's King Cole Bar, there, as much for the environs as the drink) squarely out of the top spot, and as I told our bartender after I spied a semi-hidden bottle of Chartreuse and he offered to make an off-the-menu Last Word, it was the first time I fully understood that drink. That hard-to-find liquid green-gold is in VERY good hands at 9 Maple! Perfect for date night, but also welcoming to the lone visitor in search of a PERFECTLY crafted, amply -poured cocktail. Eat before you arrive, or pop back after dinner for a nightcap. Although we were there for off-season, an outdoor courtyard hints at higher traffic when the weather's warmer and the horses are racing. And even off-season, Jazz band nights attract a crowd. This place should really be on more national Top Cocktail Bars lists. It's that good.
