The Children's Museum at Saratoga is a children's museum that opened in Saratoga Springs, New York…read morein 1990. It was founded by a local group of community parents and educators. It first opened in a donated space at the Downstreet Marketplace building. It would move into a larger space in 1994 and again in 2001. In 2021, the museum began moving to the historic Lincoln Baths building in Spa State Park. The current museum opened to the public in July 2022 and features more space, updated exhibits, interactives, classroom spaces, and access to the natural resources and amenities of the state park. My family and I recently visited the Children's Museum at Saratoga while we were visiting the area. We visited a local brewery for lunch and my wife and I were interested to see if there was a place nearby that we could take our sons. The museum came highly recommended. We're glad that we heard about it because our two sons were actively engaged for the entire visit. They especially enjoyed the second floor which has more interactive exhibits. Some of the different exhibits include the fire department, a doctor's office, a racing horse stable, a tree house, a city bus, a grocery store, an ice cream parlor, a TV weather station and more! Overall we had a fun experience at the Children's Museum at Saratoga and we recommend it to families who are visiting the area!

Plain bagels and three kinds of muffins were available. I miss the small fresh Danish pastries served in the past. Plastic utensils and plates are used with high quality paper napkins. Free backstretch Tram tours are available during breakfast hours. We enjoyed it on another visit. The cost is $30. for adults and $12. For children under twelve. You pay for the ambiance not the food.

First thing to point out is you need to arrive early as possible because the lines get crazy long. Luckily for us we already purchased our tickets online and were able to get in line right away. Secondly, if you need to use the restroom or do anything else, be sure to do that before you wait in line for the hayride. There is no stopping once you get in line for the hayride and once you get off the hayride you have to go through all the haunted houses back-to-back. When you get in line, they corral the groups into what looks like a large steer pen until its that groups time to get on the hayride. It's about a 15-minute ride through the woods - you experience several scare zones, and gory scenes. There are a handful characters like Michael Myers that run out and climb on the back of the wagon trying to scare guests, which is more fun than actually scarry. Once the ride comes to a halt guests once again line up to go through all the haunted houses. The haunted houses were hit and miss. Some were better than others and all the staff in the houses did a decent job. We had a run-in with one security guy that was just a complete jerk and threatened to kick us out for trying to take a picture with a character stating that we touched them when we did not, the character actually grabbed on to us, so WTF! Once through the haunted houses there's not much left to do but walk around, grab a bite to eat and something to drink. It was a little expensive but decided to get a few hot dogs, Snapple ice teas, and some other light snacks; roughly $40 for this. The characters walking around and doing photo ops in this area were great and their costumes were also very good. They stayed in character the whole time we were at the park so this made for a spirited evening. My biggest complaint is there is not enough Porto-lets available or seating near the vendors for the sheer number of guests attending. They literally had 4-5 stalls available for the thousands that can potentially visit here nightly. Also, staff were not stocking the stalls with toilet paper. There were a lot of unhappy Ladies here that night.

Minus one star for games being out of service, two bumper cars and a handful of lasertag vests broken, and they really could use lockers for storing shoes for bounce houses, purses, umbrellas etc as they just get left at the starting gates or hold onto them in the attractions.

The go-karts were fun, and the rides were generously long, but that may have had to do with the lack of crowd size despite the beautiful weather. The go-karts themselves were wildly different in top speeds, and your success on the track was based entirely on the kart you were assigned vs. any actual ability or strategy. No big deal for us, but there was, shall we say, a slightly more competitive family who were extremely annoyed by this, and were letting everyone in earshot know about it. Most of the arcade games were older and not in the greatest condition, with a few exceptions. What was oddest of all was that I found a roll of 5,000 prize tickets just sitting on top of a closed air hockey table completely unattended. I brought them back to an employee at the concession stand and there wasn't even a thank you offered. If it happens again, maybe I'll just the 5' Angry Bird. They also wouldn't honor the Yelp Check-in offer for a free game of Laser Tag. All in all, this place has seen some better days, and both boys enjoyed playing mini-golf at the place across the parking lot far more than they did playing at Adventure Family Fun Center, but you could certainly do worse if you're looking to kill a few hours with the kids.

It's a good location to have a movie in as you walk around, eat, drink and finish off the day with a movie. They do have specials on Tuesdays if you Sign up for their membership. I believe the tickets a $5 and their are different levels that could give you free upgrades on soda and pop corn. I just signed up for the free membership!

They tend to have more indie type films and ones that aren't super mainstream, which you'd have to go to Albany to see in the theater. I'm looking forward to the upcoming film next weekend.

What an amazing new (ish!) addition to downtown Glens Falls!!! The "ish", you ask? Well, back in…read morethe day, this was a place for locals to enjoy some vaudeville and other live entertainment. But it's been an abandoned building and boarded up for many years...until now. Beautifully renovated with a full-service restaurant downstairs, the Park Theater is an exciting new venue for musical artists in an intimate setting. It's not only a performance space but it can be used for a variety of different events. I saw flyers for weddings and I'm sure that they could accommodate all kinds of special occasions. The seating is not "theater-style", so it's flexible as to how the main room is configured. They had a small bar with several wine and beer options along with delicious-looking treats. Non-alcoholic beverages were also available. Everyone that worked there was extremely pleasant and seemed to be really excited. (I am, too!!) I was lucky enough to see Dar Williams as one of their first shows. The sound was terrific...it seems that they configured the performance area with appropriate acoustic accommodations. I can't wait to see what comes next and continue to support this fabulous new establishment.
