If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy company who actually knows how to do fencing then look no further! We had a different fence company who was highly reviewed in Denver come out to our property on 5 acre property in Parker for roughly 1,000 ft. of fencing. Halfway through the job I could tell they didn't know what they were doing and called them on it and they walked off the job. I found Logan and his company online. He came out to do a walk through of the property and explained how he would do the fence and why the first company was doing it incorrectly. They exceeded all expectations and completed the project in a timely fashion. Their customer service is above and beyond what I expected. We also had a delivery driver hit our keypad and First Rate came out to repair it. Me and my wife are both business owners and know the importance of reviews. I also know there are a lot of companies out there with a lot of good reviews who are NOT GOOD! This company is not one of them. First rate fence replace my entire fence at a cost of over $7000. In less than 6 months the two gates they installed began to warp. I contacted first rate fence about this, and was told that "it's not atypical to see some natural imperfections since wood can be unpredictable." They offered to fix the gates with an unproven solution at a cost of $300. They also installed steel posts for us. The caps they used for the steel posts do not fit well. They also didn't cut the top off of one of our posts. First rate fence does not stand behind their work. read more

It's not often I leave reviews for businesses, but I was so blown away by First Rate Fence and Supply that I felt the need to tell everyone else what a great job they did. First of all, the fence looks great and their price was the best of four quotes we received from different companies. What I'm most impressed with is their thorough communication. They went above and beyond and kept us in the loop the entire time. They even helped coordinate putting in a fence with our neighbor, and worked with us when our neighbor on the other side decided to make things difficult. They were also prompt in providing us with a broken down cost by side that we used to present to our neighbors. Logan and crew put in a perimeter fence and 3 gates in October 2020. Looked and worked great until gate posts "settled" and didn't open/close properly. They came out within a reasonable time period on several occasions to "fix" the gates, eventually putting in cables to prop the main double sided gate we use. All of the "fixes" worked for 2-3 days, then we continued to have the problem of needing to push/pull the two sides in order to unstick the gates and get it open. The tops of the gates were too close and hitting each other. The bottoms of the gates were over 1/2" apart, allowing for adequate space down low. Logan assured us his work was well done. However, he stopped returning calls and emails (9 in all) and finally sent us an estimate of $3,200 to put in a steel framed gate, which would "fix" the sticking gate issue. I had a knowledgeable and experienced handyman take a look and he said the one gate post was leaning too much. It was not stabilized to the same level of concrete as the other gate post. There was dirt only at the ground level. He place a cable in the opposite direction from the top of the gate post to the rest of the fence. This was one month ago and is still working to our satisfaction. Logan disregarded all of this information and I am astounded that he placed the initial cables from the top railing of the gate to the bottom of the gate: COMPLETELY ignoring that the post supporting the gate was leaning in and the cables should have been placed in the OPPOSITE direction to better support the weight bearing post. He did not respond to my email about why he claimed his work was acceptable; why they placed cables in the wrong direction to support the post; and why the post was not fully planted to the same depth as the stable, non problematic gate post. The fact that his website claims they offer first rate service, support, and maintenance was infuriating when calls and emails were not returned and he failed to recognize and attend to the underlying problem. I would not recommend First Rate Fence because of their follow up and failure to acknowledge a problem at installation. read more

We've completely flipped a home in Denver and have worked with tons of contractors - electricians, framers, plumbers, drywall installers - and most contractors have at least one mark against them. We've had pricey quotes, late arrivals, poor work, a complete lack of communication and pretty much every contractor has left us disappointed. Until now. Logan and his crew were punctual. They measured our yard the SAME DAY when we sent out a request for quote. The quote was e-mailed to us the next day. It was slightly higher than we had hoped for, so we decided to get a couple more quotes to compare. We called two other companies. One took about a week for us to get measured and quoted, while the other took over 3 weeks to even give us a bid. Both of the other bids were about 10-20% more than what FRC quoted us. So we texted Logan back, set up a date for installation and hoped for the best. Logan's crew arrived at 7AM on our scheduled date and worked until early afternoon in the hot Denver sun. Our job ended up taking two days to complete, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. These guys do quality work, are dependable, reasonably priced, honest and all-around fantastic individuals to work with. Heck, they even helped us repair a different section of fence from what they worked on at no extra charge. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. In fact, we wish we had more projects so we could hire them again. One last thing... don't be dismayed by the 1-star reviews they've received. Remember, it takes two to tango. Sometimes a contractor may decide a job doesn't match their skillset, or that the customer isn't a good fit. read more

He and another guy came over a few days later and spent a good amount of time asking questions and measuring our space. He said I would have a quote within a few days.
