These guys did such an amazing job on what anyone would say was a challenging project. Our backyard had such a steep slope and narrow access but Aaron, Luiz and Jorge knocked it out of the park. We're so happy with how the yard came out and the concrete work was top notch. We had a lot of concrete done around our home with Scott and his team. He was great in response time, able to do the job soon after we decided on the look we wanted, and the crew was here when they said they would be. It was pricey, but I don't know if it would be less somewhere else as we didn't shop around. Also, I do think you get what you pay for with most things. Mr. Scott Flodeen and his crew (dba "Your Maintenance Source") are nothing short of awesome. We had a 100-year-old cottonwood tree fall on our property last summer which did a lot of damage to everything including our wooden deck. We initially considered a composite deck rebuild, but then thought about stamped concrete. We figured it'd be way out of our price range, but, to our surprise, Scott was able to help us make it happen. The first day, his sub showed up and ground out the 9-foot tree stump. Two to three days later Scott and his crew showed up; cleared the site; set stakes; and poured concrete. When my wife came home, she almost had a heart attack. They came back day 3 and sealed everything and fixed our wooden posts/stairs for no additional cost (Thanks, Scott!). In the end, we were left with a stunning two-toned, stamped concrete deck that has really remade the entire backyard. Now, the landscaping (which Scott also does). Scott was incredibly responsive to our concerns and would answer e-mails within minutes. When we had questions, he had answers. He was also willing to work around our work hours for meetings. And such a polite, customer service-oriented demeanor as well (which can be rare in Denver if you've worked with many contractors). I can't imagine why you would go with anyone else for your landscaping or decking needs, but best of luck if you do. I personally would only recommend Scott and his team going forward. read more

Scott the owner of the company was great to work with. Came promptly when we asked for an estimate, didn't bug us. Then when we decided to go with him we got on the schedule for the following week. He was the most reasonable price from the 5 bids that we received. Him and his 2 guys were on-time, worked very hard, and accomodated our last minute change requests. They were on-schedule. We had a side yard redone and it came out better than we hoped. We will definitely use Maintenance Source for our future needs. Always on time, courteous, hard working, and when complete the cleanup was great. Also, for a landscaper we felt like Scott was honest and sincere when listening to what we wanted. I'm not sure why I am still hearing about this from the owner, Scott. Our poor service/exchange happened about six months ago, and continuing to harass your customers for writing an honest review is probably not a good idea if you wish to move forward and focus on providing better service in the future. I would appreciate it if I stopped receiving negative comments from you. I am not removing my negative review, if anything I will only continue to let others know how poorly we were treated by this company for months following our poor service. The timing was perfect when I found this guy. I had a 1/2 cut down tree (by me) and a giant pile of rubbish that I didn't know how to get rid of. I was walking home and saw the magnetic sign on his truck. He come over to check it out and it was all removed the next day. He even has a very nice and giant stump grinder he used to totally remove all signs of the tree. His prices are unbeatable. $220 for everything! So I call Scott to schedule a very simple concrete job. The job required a city permit because it was to a sidewalk and would obstruct the public right of way for 2 days. Although Scott said he'd done a bunch of jobs just like this, he said he had never heard of getting a permit and had never done so. I thought this was weird, as I only know about it because I spent 20 seconds on Google. Whatever, I did the permit myself. We scheduled the work for 3 weeks out. He tells me he'll call 3 days before to re-confirm. The weeks go by, and the 3 days, and I don't hear from him. No biggie. But then the weekend comes, where I've arranged to be home, and he no-call-no-shows. Nothing. Just doesn't show up. When I get him on the phone, he is clueless and has clearly not scheduled my work and has totally forgotten about it. Normally I would have cancelled the job without another question. But I was already many weeks into trying to get this done, so we just reschedule for another week out. On the new date, some guy shows up with his 8 year old kid. That's fine, but the guy speaks basically no English at all. We are unable to communicate basically at all about the job. The job was simple though, so he does the work. For two days, with his kid in the truck the whole time, in front of my house. No biggie, and contractors often subcontract the work out, but they usually give you a heads up. The completed work is mediocre. It is as simple as a concrete job can be, but the lines between the concrete squares are not straight. They are close, but not straight. Not the end of the world, but not correctly done either. In sum, this wasn't the worst contractor experience I've had by any measure. But I wouldn't use this guy again. read more

Scott & his crew have helped us on several jobs and we always like the work they do. They are honest, and trustworthy. It can be very stressful do improve the home and do makeovers, but when you hire them, they make it seamless and enjoyable. And another important thing... Scott actually answers his phone! I have had this company do several different small jobs and they always go a great job. I would highly refer to all .

My husband and I bought a live potted tree for Christmas and planned to plant it after the holiday but we soon realized that we needed some help so we called Scott. He gave us a very reasonable estimate and warned us the ground may be too frozen to plant it. We went ahead and set up a time to plant it after a few days of really nice weather but when he came out the ground was still too frozen to plant it. He moved the tree for me and gave me some great advice on taking care of it. He also made some great recommendations on other plants for the yard. At the end, he never charged me even though he made the trip out and moved a heavy tree for me. This kind of customer service is so rare and I will definitely recommend Scott Flodeen and Your Maintenance Source to everyone. read more

Two things impressed me: Scott was willing to work with me as I tried to decide on materials, colors and design. We exchanged many emails and I never got shunted to the sidelines as I took time making decisions. Second, he was on site! I didn't have to communicate through a third party. I just had Scott and his crew do a flagstone patio in the back of our yard, and I couldn't be more impressed with him and the work they do! From estimate to completion, it was only one week. We had also talked with him about a half-wall and a fire pit, but with his help we were able to see that we wouldn't need the wall as he could raise the patio to 6 inches, and that our area was very windy and the pit could pose a fire hazard, even if we could keep it lit. So he not only wasn't trying to "upsell" us on unusable additions, he talked us out of things he knew wouldn't be right for us!! HIs rate was extremely good. We already had a flagstone patio near the house and they were able to obtain the same color stone, and use the same "style" of laying it. The whole job took only a few days... one to set the concrete foundation, one to lay the stone, and the last half day to mortar and front the patio. They took care to clean up the area properly as they left. Scott was there each day of work, but the couple of guys doing the majority of the work were very nice and respectful, very quiet the whole time. And to top it off, Scott was nice enough to bolt down our pergola to the concrete before finishing the patio! I mean, really?!! It's hard enough to find great, reasonable work, but then to go above and beyond just blew me away. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking for patios.
