With a card and info for me to go between Mon and Tues. which I did. And once again I didn't have to wait, didn't even need an appointment. The girl in the front checked my arm, it was negative. They gave me my paperwork and I was out of there in no time. Definitely recommend them. And will be back in the future if I need them again.

Was I a bit skeptical? Yes lol especially since their pricing is a bit higher than other certification classes. Here is my opinion. This place is definitely worth every single 5-star review you see and read. Dr. Khan and Sylvia who teaches and runs the training classes are so friendly and knowledgeable. They provide you with all the information and skills needed to become board certified. They answer all your questions and never make you feel less for asking them. They prepare you mentally prior and guide you from start to finish on each technique needed from blood withdrawal, setting up an IV line and providing IV therapy. Then they observe your retention knowledge to be able to perform without instructions. Along with educating us on different types of equipment we might come across while working in the field. The classes are fairly small and intimate which makes the learning experience that much more enjoyable as you get to know the other students training along side you. Yes the price is higher than other training facilities, but definitely worth it. Honestly you're paying for great instructors, small class groups, night classes, and realistically; medical supplies are expensive. With that, they still provide you with a tracking number to track your certification to the board as well. This is where you say, you're paying for quality over quantity. Other than providing IV/BW therapy certification. They offer other approved AHA classes like BLS, ACLS, and even an extensive NCLEX refresher prep course. Worth checking out for a great experience.

They still needed assistance. This created a minimum of 20 minutes of the teacher trying to assist all these students who were lost. I felt like she relied on other students to help those students who needed help which isn't fair. They should have a prerequisite to this class MUST know basic microsoft, how to use a mouse, how to save/ download documents into a folder, etc. I decided to stop going to the class since the teacher had to focus on these others students and then when everyone was finally on the same page. She would literally rush through the chapter since of course our class was behind. I'm giving it 3 stars since this isn't the teacher's fault or the students. The school needs to do a better job in making some of these courses to having a prerequisite pertaining to that course.

Before daycare, our main care taker was my mother in law and my daughter was thriving. But due to…read morean upcoming trip, she would have to leave the country for a little over a month so it was time to find an alternate option for child care while my wife and I are working. Though relatively short notice, we had about 3 months to look at our options. As most parents do, we have asked around for recommendations from our friends and my own independent research. Unfortunately, all of those locations were either a capacity or were not accepting children until the following year. We were almost about to give up and just hire a temporary nanny to care for our daughter during work hours when we stumbled upon Little Stars Learn & Play Center. Curious, I called the number listed on yelp/google and the administrator, Ms. Asma, answered. We told her about our situation and that we were looking for a daycare to watch our then 22 month old daughter. She recommended we schedule a tour for just my wife and I to get a feel of the facilities and teachers. The building is very inconspicuous which you kind of hope for obvious reasons, the exterior clean and presentable. Upon entering inside, we were greeted by Ms Asma and introduced us to the facility. We immediately had a positive gut feeling and decided to schedule a day to drop our daughter off for a few hours to get her acclimated. There are two main rooms, one for toddlers (younger kids) and another for older kids (pre-school). We did this for about a week and decided to extend the stay out a few more hours 3 days a week. Ms Asma, Ms Tina and Ms Angel were awesome from the start, they were more than willing to work with our daughter who is very advanced for her age but has a lot of anxiety, particularly struggling with separation anxiety. They were patient with her and helped her transition smoothly to the day to day. Though she still has some anxiety during drop off, our daughter has fun all day and pick-up is night and day, almost no more tears! She eats better at school, plays nicely her friends (classmates) and comes home every day with a new word or phrase. We are eternally grateful for the teachers and staff at Little Stars and our own anxiety has also improved. Finding daycares is very stressful for both parents and kids, and it is a relief we found an awesome one!

The school uses an app for communication about your child and it is very convenient as they update throughout the day such as meals and if they took a nap, etc. It made me feel less anxious. He is high-functioning but has difficulty communicating and expressing his needs verbally. He has also just turned 2, so he still had a lot of growth to do. I was asked whether I would be able to provide support or assistance for him while he attended. I am a working mom, they wanted me to be at the school with him which I cannot because how would I be able to afford the tuition without working. I was then told that I would receive a call back, but no one ever followed up with me after I was told on the phone I would need to assist him in the school. Although, my child has autism he is very capable. I think the word taunted the director creating a bias before even actually working with my child. The experience left me feeling that the school is not inclusive. I would recommend looking elsewhere if your child is neurodivergent or has any type of learning disability in any way. Thankfully, my child is now attending another school where he is welcomed, supported, and thriving.

I just did my CPR certification for the first time with SB CPR in Santa Monica. I didn't even know they have other locations. I got a discount for being a student (which is actually not listed on their website, but contact them), it's $10 off. The class was very informative. We did a lot of hands on practice with different scenarios. The class started with CPR for adult, child, and then infant. After we talked about AED and how to use them. It's pretty simple but when the instructors made us practice with each other incorporating the AED, most of us definitely needed the practice and coaching. The best part about the class is that the instructor always demonstrate the skills first, and then practice, and then always recap on the skills and what we did correctly or incorrectly. I like how the instructors also gave some of their personal experience in how the real world CPR would look like. One of the instructors mention that AHA CPR is only a guideline, where in the hospital or with any other company, their policy precedes AHA guidelines (didn't know that!) Great instructors. One instructor tend to speak pretty fast but Richard was real good. He made sure everyone understand the materials and sometimes when people ask questions, only a few student close by and the instructor can hear him/her. So Richard always repeat or even rephrase the question where everyone can understand what's being asked and answer the question for everyone. I found this CPR class actually by searching through previous reviews. Southbay CPR seemed like the best one. I am so glad I decided to go there! Richard was super informative, and just as previous reviews have stated, everyone gets their own cpr mannequin. I liked this because it let you practice multiple compression cycles without having to switch off with someone you might be sharing the mannequin with- more time for you to simulate saving a life! I felt very engaged the whole time, and left feeling very confident in my CPR life saving capabilities. Richard was very good about interacting with us all, and gave us different role playing scenarios to test our knowledge. I highly recommend this place to get CPR certified. I am a co leader in a Girl Scout troop. The leader of our troop and I attended a recent Saturday CPR and First Aid training class. Richard, our instructor, was thorough and very knowledgeable. I so appreciated his passion, interest and great listening skills as he fielded some really good questions from the students in the class. I would highly recommend this training for anyone who would need to go through a First Aid or CPR class. Please take this course even if you are not required to take it. It really makes a difference and you could save a life. I feel more equipped and more confident in the event of a life altering situation. Just took a fairly small CPR class with Richard. It seems like they are just starting up because there were only 2 other people in the CPR class, which I didn't mind. I was skeptical at first but Richard was really professional and knowledgeable! Each of us had equipment for ourselves so no sharing adult or infant dummies. He had us work by ourselves as well as with everyone else incorporating the use of an AED. The class was engaging and I'm really glad that I did my CPR certification here. I hope they continue to grow but I do love the smaller classes. In any case, I highly recommend them! read more

its so easy and simple you cant not, not like it. its two gentlemen who teach the course (i had richard) and he opens up with the basics and then kind of draws your attetion through humors or groundbreaking videos on youtube. if you appreciate hands on and some one who is completely patient with your questions then look no further. i did cpr through other programs and this is like thee most engaging one i experienced. two thumbs up read more

I honestly thought that this course was going to be boring and dull. That we were just working with the CPR decoys in a very monotone pattern like matter. However, it was totally the opposite. Jonathan was great, learned a lot. Vinegar for jellyfish stings! And learned to check my surroundings first, then check for responsiveness, alert authorities, then administer training. read more

I wanted them to have the basic training in the event of an emergency. South Bay CPR & First Aid shows step by step process of handling an emergency situation while waiting for the paramedics. In urgent cases, every second counts. Instructor Taku Nakasaka is patient. He was thorough in teaching my parents tell tale signs of an onset heart failure, and more importantly, what to do in such an event. Every one should have the basic understanding of CPR and First Aid, especially those with aging parents or small children. He gives Yelp discount if you ask for it.

While waiting for months I received an email stating a spot had opened up but not realizing that the actual list means nothing to this staff , the opening is first come first serve. With this first come first serve nonsense it literally leaves a person that has been on the list for quite some time can essentially be skipped over by someone that just literally signed up that day or night, which to me is very unfair to anyone whose been patiently waiting.

I took the Beginning Excel/Microsoft class and did NOT complete the course…read more I was extremely disappointed in the class structure and most of the students did NOT even know what a desktop was, know how to maneuver the mouse and worst did NOT know how to log in to their computer after weeks. They still needed assistance. This created a minimum of 20 minutes of the teacher trying to assist all these students who were lost. I felt like she relied on other students to help those students who needed help which isn't fair. They should have a prerequisite to this class MUST know basic microsoft, how to use a mouse, how to save/ download documents into a folder, etc. I decided to stop going to the class since the teacher had to focus on these others students and then when everyone was finally on the same page. She would literally rush through the chapter since of course our class was behind. I'm giving it 3 stars since this isn't the teacher's fault or the students. The school needs to do a better job in making some of these courses to having a prerequisite pertaining to that course.
