As a local, I've tried literally every single breakfast place in Destin and, even though this is a chain, their breakfast is consistently perfect. Your coffee cup is never empty, your food is mildly expensive but the amount you get is definitely worth it. Only wish they'd serve alcohol! read more

I have been to this location as well as the Panama City beach location. Food was excellent as always, however service was a bit lacking today. It seems to always be hit or miss. Our server was looking extremely frazzled running around tables and rushing us to order. I am not sure if they were short staffed, but normally service is excellent. We will still be back for some good fresh brunch. read more

Dropped the hubby off on a deep sea fishing trip and after taking a walk, I needed a bite to eat. As I'm not familiar to the Destin area, I went to Yelp for suggestions. I wanted fresh, organic! Yelp reviews did not disappoint. Wonderful farm to table menu. I had the chicken avocado chopped salad which is chopped romaine and arugula, all natural chicken breast, avocado, tomatoes, corn, black beans, feta cheese and crispy tortilla chips with a citrus chipotle dressing. It was delicious! I also had the iced coffee which was highly recommended by the wonderful waitress and she was spot on. So hungry that I didn't take pics The service & food was delightful. I had one of the fresh juices with kale and ginger that was on the seasonal menu. Also from the seasonal menu, I had the Million Dollar Bacon - OMG!! It's covered with brown sugar, maple syrup, cayenne and black pepper. I had to get 2 orders! I also had the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes - light, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth good! They were topped with a lemon curd swirl and fresh sliced strawberries and lightly dusted with powdered sugar. Update: came back the next day. No issues with the wait this time and the food was delicious. 1 star yesterday. 5 stars today. We were a quoted 25 minutes for the waitlist. Arrived and checked in with the hostess who stated "let me seat this party and I'll grab y'all next" and then proceeded to seat 4-5 other parties that walked in behind us. After following up with us she still didn't seat us and took several other names, sat another party, and assisted several to go orders without providing any update on if/when we would get a seat. Another family was also waiting and clearly discontent by the lack of communication as well. We left. read more

Pleasantly surprised at the food @ the location near publix in destin. The food tasted fresh and the presentation was admirable. I had the classic skillet and my wife the french toast. The service was quick and not pretentious. For $30 we had 10x better food than we had at Camille's down the road. Definitely will be a repeat customer. read more

First watch is so yummmmy. The food never fails to be fresh. Their prices are very decent, but proportions aren't big. I love eating here when in town. I got the Floridian French toast which is the perfect amount of sweetness with very fresh fruits (kiwi, strawberries, and bananas.) if you love grits this is the place to go! Their grits are amazing! I would never have put lemon and ricotta together, and even the lemon topping didn't look appealing, but wow is it good! The juice bar beverages were fresh and flavorful. The quinoa bowl with scrambled egg on top (substitution) was great. I wanted to try local flavors, not chains that we have at home. But we made an exception because it's a chain we've never tried. Updated again in 2020. We still love this restaurant. We're snowbirds and eat here 4+ times every year. I didn't realize that this was a chain until we ran across a First Watch near Columbus Ohio. Since then we've dined at First Watch near Houston Texas and one near St Louis Missouri. We've never been disappointed for either breakfast or lunch. This was my second visit. I got the same dish I got my first visit, but was not impressed this second time. I ordered the chili chorizo omelette with no cheese, no sour cream, and subbed egg whites for the eggs. The omelette tasted so plain, and there was NO chorizo in it. Maybe a sprinkle. My husband ordered the tacos and very little chicken came on that as well. Service was decent, but the screaming coming behind us from the kitchen was a little much. Tried First Watch for the first time this morning (Saturday). 20 minute wait to be seated. Once seated our drinks came quickly. We placed our order then waited another 20 minutes for our food. This was frustrating as tables that were seated after us were receiving their food before us. We eventually got our breakfast and it was good. My daughter said best blueberry pancake ever. However, one of the service workers who I believe is named Elyse or Elyssa who wears glasses and has brown hair gave us some very rude comments that I felt were racially motivated.
