Spent a bit of time in here while in town for a work trip. Interior is nice, very lively. Came on a Sunday- be warned they only serve off the brunch menu in the afternoon. There are amazing brunch cocktail prices! Started w a bloody mary which was great. I had the salmon benedict, but my poached eggs came out cooked hard inside without a runny yolk. No problem for them at all- the bartender took the old meal away and I had a new plate in front of me within minutes. There is a huge selection of draft beers, many from Florida. I did a little flight of the coconut porter (good but not my favorite), Destin ale (had to get it while in Destin!), and the beach camp mango sour (AMAZING!). The menu is pretty limited and consists mostly of classic bar food, but everything was fresh, the restaurant was clean, and the service was great. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the medium-well steak with fries, and for bar food, I have to give them credit--the steak was cooked perfectly. The fries could have stayed in the fryer a little longer for my taste, but they were still good. As a Louisiana girl, I'm pretty picky when it comes to food, and it's hard to impress me outside of my home state. That said, this place did a solid job. The real star of the show, though, was my drink! It was a non-alcoholic beverage infused with 5 mg of THC. Went at lunch time on a Saturday. Food 7/10 Beer selection 9/10 Mac and cheese was pretty solid, burger and fries were pretty good as well. Fish was overcooked I would've given it a 4 but the chairs were so uncomfortable that I couldn't wait to leave. read more

It's always a pleasure to update my review of a restaurant to more stars because of a better experience :) We came back to Miramar Beach for a another vacation and it was convenient to come back to The Craft Bar - Destin, and it was such a good experience! We went for the burgers again, and today they were on point - DELICIOUS!!! and the fries were perfectly done (not overdone :)). I recommend the burger trio to get a taste for burger options. My favorite ones were the craft burger and the bbq pork - great to order at full portion sizes, recommended! My husband had the pamento burger again, it was good. The young man helping us was so nice and helpful - outstanding service! Beer and other drinks are consistently great. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting with inside and outdoor seating options. The location is a bit strange with it being in a strip mall, but it does come with the benefit of offering ample parking. The Craft Bar in Destin is tucked away in one of the many shopping centers. The one we went to is right at the heart of Destin, at the intersection of 98 and 293. It must be part of a chain because there is one if Miramar as well. The restaurant is a pretty standard bar and grill. It has a nice selection of beers and alcohol. As its name suggests, it features a good selection of craft beers from Florida and neighboring states. The standout food is the burgers, and it is the reason we came here. My dad likes seafood, but he can tire of it. For one night in town he just really wanted a burger. This spot definitely did the job. It also ended up being a good choice for our kids as they are more likely to eat burgers/chicken strips than shrimp and tilapia. The service was fine, I don't really remember it which means it wasn't bad or particularly good. I will note that there were some good happy hours and specials listed. I think if we had hit that up my rating would have gone from 4 to 5 stars. Otherwise this is a decent, if somewhat average burger and bar joint. However sometimes what you just want is a reliably good burger and beer. read more

Great place to chill and feel mildly sophisticated during happy hour (2-6pm). I had a cherry bourbon smash that tasted like regret with a garnish, but the buttered bourbon old fashioned? Ordered the oysters for appetizers, bartender never checked on them..Apparently the runner gave them to someone else.. so never got them..rest of the meal was just ok.. We came by Thursday around 6pm and it was packed! It was a nice day out and all of the tables on the patio were pretty much all full. The inside ambiance was pretty dark but around the bar it was lively. Our waitress was lovely and accommodating. Our food came out fairly quickly and was fresh and delicious. It was one of the first times we came for dinner. We usually come for brunch! The tuna BLT was so flavorful and something different for me. My husband had the meatloaf. Popped in pretty late one night for dinner and our experience was top-notch! We sat outside on the patio as the weather was lovely. Waiter was super sweet, knowledgeable, and was readily available whenever we needed her. For drinks, I ordered the tequila mockingbird (recommended by our waiter) and it was so good! Sweet without being diabetes in a cup while also being strong. We also ordered the Mac and cheese bites, fish and chips, and the lamb burger. Everything was delicious! Service was good but fairly slow since there was only one waiter serving all the tables inside and outside. They have a BIG selection of draft beers, wine and cocktails. The food was good. The Que Burger had good flavor and they cooked it to the right temp that was asked for. The Sushi Grade Tuna Niçoise salad was good but interesting. It came with potatoes in the salad (which I didn't realize when ordered) they weren't crunchy enough to be put into a salad and I don't think they belonged unless they were fried up more to more crunchy like a crouton. It also had green beans that I wish would have been pickled and would have added more acidity and flavor to the salad. The tuna and rest of the salad was great. read more

The patio is nice but everyone seemed to be pressured by staff to head out. The food looked great but it wasn't that good and the service was bad.
