Came here around 11am on a Sunday morning. We joined the waitlist from the app and waited maybe 15 minutes if not less. We were seated quickly at a booth. Service was excellent, our server checked in on us frequently and made sure we had everything needed. Even though it was packed, it wasn't too overcrowded. We still enjoyed our conversation and breakfast. The food came out at a reasonable time and everything was made fresh and really good. No complaints. A slow morning at First watch....it was very chilly in the restaurant. Seated right away and had our drink order taken. Ordered up the Trifecta and a Skillet Hash. Trifecta was perfecta....good amount of eggs and meat. The waffle was hot and crispy. My skillet came out and I was hard pressed to find the avocado. It had to have been the smallest avocado ever harvested. I am sure they placed the teeny pieces where they were supposed to but the affect was lost due to the miniature slices. They did bring me some extra so I had enough. The potatoes had a weird after taste/finish. We think it was the paprika the use in the blend of the preseasoning of the packaged potatoes (server said they are seasoned when they get them). Either way it really was meh. This restaurant was a nice way to start our day. There wasn't a long wait so we could be seated quickly. Our waitress was kind, patient, and organized in receiving our orders. We had a large group and she was able to manage our group well. The environment was clean, but next time, I would ask for hot water to pre-dip the utensils in to get some of the dishwasher stains off, but nothing a quick wipe couldn't fix. As for the food, we ordered some options off of their summer menu. I especially liked the Strawberry Tres Leche French Toast, Blueberry Lemon Cornbread, and the Million Dollar Bacon. These were the stars of the show! The overall taste of each of these items was great, not too sweet, or moist, I wouldn't change anything about them. Kinda wishing I ordered an additional cornbread to go- I might regret that later... The Bacado was good but I do think the bacon inside was overcooked. I would order the Morning Meditation again. It's a great drink option I would recommend trying, you could taste the beets and turmeric, which was satisfying. My three-year-old granddaughter held up a piece of soggy bacon, and says they don't know how to cook this. & offered no butter for her dry toast? My toast could not hold up the avocado spread on top and had to be eaten with a fork. I want real toast not bread popped in a toaster for a minute. My two scrambled eggs were flat with uncooked whites across the top. What happened to beating the eggs before you cook them? A time before they served a medium fried egg with raw egg white, and I returned it to the kitchen. The manager gave me a free breakfast, great but who is cooking the eggs & bacon? I had such a wonderful experience at First Watch in Melbourne, Florida! The food was fantastic, but what really made our visit special was our server, Suzanne. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Her positive energy and great recommendations truly elevated the whole breakfast experience. And I have to talk about the avocado toast--wow! It was absolutely delicious. The avocado was perfectly fresh and creamy, the toppings were flavorful, and everything was beautifully presented. For any of my loyal friends who've followed by reviews back when I was far more active, you all know that I love breakfast and brunch restaurants. Simply check out my reviews for Kiki's, Oh Biscuit, Egg & I (now closed), IHOP, and Sunshine Cafe to see just how much I LOVE breakfast and brunch. So when I heard First Watch was opening in Melbourne in the old building that used to be Red Robin, I knew I just had to eat there. Today, I get the chance to do so with my family and I have to say, I am more than satisfied, I am extremely happy! Upon arriving at First Watch located in "front" (south) of Melbourne Square Mall, you'd notice they went a more minimalist approach with their look. A lot of simplistic planes and angles used for decor and furniture that looks like they came from either Ikea or Bed, Bath & Beyond. A lot of warm monochrome shades used with wood highlights too. In short, it was simple, but it gives off an ambiance of casual sophistication and cleanliness. We had to wait for our table about 15 to 20 minutes, but it didn't take too long. Found out you can go online and reserve a time so your wait won't have to be too long. I will give kudos on whatever they did with the chairs and floors. Usually, whenever you drag chairs on the floor, it "catches." However, the chairs would literally "glide" so it was easy to move. I assume they used either sliding pads on the bottom of the chair legs or there are soft ball bearings that lock when weight pushes down on them. I don't know but I wasn't going to turn a chair upside-down to find out. Food. Well. It was superb for breakfast and brunch. Please check the pictures to see what we ordered. I will simply say it was prepped well, spiced and flavored adequately, and visually appealing: A "trifecta" of deliciousness per se. I personally want to try the protein bowls and their take on traditional breakfast/brunch food, but right now, I (and maybe you should too until you cover it all if you can) will work the Spring Menu since it is there for a limited amount of time. On a sidenote: the restrooms were clean but seem to be lacking in stalls, well for the men's restroom. One urinal and one toilet seems to be short in number for a busy restaurant such as this. As for price, it is "TWO Dollar Signs" meaning most of the food will average between $10 and $20. Definitely will be back to try more of their food. Though a franchise with many restaurants and 40 years of history, I am giving them a "PERFECT" because it was everything I expected and more. read more

We were so excited to find a First Watch while on our vacation so we went there for breakfast. I ordered the Carne asada hash and my husband had the biscuits and gravy- it was outstanding. We loved it so much we came back the next day and ordered the same thing before heading out for a long day at WDW. We first discovered First Watch restaurants while on a cross country road trip. My second time at this location. The best part of my visit was the friendly and competent server Elaina who answered questions, corrected my order by bringing the chicken sausage patty I ordered, refilled the water carafe for hot tea, and checked in with me multiple times to be sure I had what I needed. The food was fresh and hot, waffle was crisp and eggs were cooked exactly as I had requested. Two complaints: they do not serve real butter, it's some kind of whipped butter blend that is not good; and it is incredibly loud in there, a lot like being in a high school gym. The owners should consider consulting an acoustics expert and add some sound absorbing measures, the cacophony does not make for a pleasant and relaxing meal. This is an expensive place for breakfast, serving real butter should be a given. read more

Well I happened to find myself in the Melbourne area with the family this last week and after cranking out my trusty Yelp app, we opted to give First Watch a try for breakfast. On this day that place was jumping when we got there and the line went out the door, not a bad thing when it comes to food right.... So after waiting about 15 minutes, we were shown to our table, which was not a long time to wait really. All the staff were super friendly and very accommodating as well. Happy to report that all our food items were very tasty and fresh. The coffee was awesome as well. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Granola Fruit Bowl which was great as it came with toast and some Almond butter to boot. Long story short breakfast was very good and I highly suspect that lunch and dinner are great as well. Atmosphere is pretty laid back and it is noisy but that is to be anticipated at a no frills American breakfast place. Came to find out as well that First Watch has locations all over Florida, so it could be that there is a First Watch near you. Just check out their website and you should be good to go. For those of us in South Florida turns out we have one located in the Doral area, specifically Doral Downtown. Highly recommend you all check them out if you have not already done so. Parking should not be a problem either as there is plenty available at the Melbourne, FL location. At the Doral location, pretty sure they can validate parking which is the norm for the Downtown Doral business area restaurants; however, remember that they only validate for two (2) hours of parking. FW didn't disappoint! We went out for brunch after a very difficult night and morning with saying goodbye to our fur baby! It was as if everyone there sensed that we were in morning and did a phenomenal serving us from the friendly greeting when we walked in and bringing to go boxes for those that needed them! My DH Wild Berry Lavender French Toast was amazing! Wished I could've ordered it!! He shared a lil taste knowing I would have loved it if it wasn't for my mandatory extreme low sodium diet! The creamy mousse like topping would be perfect as a dessert, too!! My vegetarian Eggs Benedict came perfectly as I ordered it!! Kiddo had a bowl of the vegetarian soup which arrived promptly after ordering & banana walnut or was it pecan pancakes, they were amazing and large! Also, had a tiny taste! YUM! I'd like to preface this with I absolutely love First Watch and this is a review solely just based on this location. Honestly, I wouldn't even bother leaving a review, but the food was just really bad today. I ordered the trifecta. I ordered poached eggs, a multigrain blueberry pancake, and chicken patty. What I received were practically raw poached eggs, an undercooked buttermilk pancake, and three chicken patties instead of one. I'm not going to complain about extra patties haha, but I did end up sending the poached egg ( if you want to call it that) back for eggs over medium. The eggs came back, barely over easy. It was just gross. I didn't bother mentioning that the pancake was buttermilk instead of multigrain. I just left it alone at that point because what continued on was clear that the kitchen was just getting overwhelmed. The rest of the orders all came with problems. One person ordered two eggs over medium, with bacon and fries. They received two eggs over easy, with really salty home fries, and an extra plate of fries that no one ordered. Another person at the table ordered the breakfast burrito. He said it was pretty good, but the eggs were overcooked this time. The last order was another trifecta. It was a blueberry multigrain pancake, scrambled eggs, and pork sausage. He received a blueberry buttermilk pancake, no eggs, and no pork sausage. When the waitress returned, he said he still waiting on his eggs and pork sausage. She brought back pork sausage and still no eggs. The coffee also wasn't very good. Also, as a rule of thumb, if things are overly salted, it's just a cover for poor flavor and cooking ability. I would like to chalk up the experience today, to just an overwhelmed kitchen, and maybe an inexperienced cooking staff. All things which can easily be fixed, either with more help in the kitchen, or more time training. Maybe to start: eggs basics. We absolutely love First Watch, but this location just needs some work. read more

This is the newer First Watch on 192 in Melbourne. Very busy, noisy eatery. I think the noise is attributed to the high open ceilings which's adds a warehouse type ambiance to the establishment. We ordered the works omelette and the chia pudding almond butter toast breakfast with a side of the new cinnamon spice churros. Everything was tasty. The churros were good especially the dipping sauces. Service was a little slow but expected due to how busy they were. Our server was very helpful and accommodating! It is the perfect way to start any day and the flavors of this menu option just hit your taste buds like nothing else! I literally was craving another one, as soon as I left! This location has been open for less than 2 months and it seems they already have everything figured out. My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast early Saturday morning after the gym. There wasn't a wait but we decided to sit at the bar. I haven't seen a bar in other First Watch locations and this one was really cute. I ordered the crab avocado toast and it was great. It's a seasonal item for the spring and I'll definitely come back for it before the season is over. Breakfast gets super busy on the weekend so get here early!
