We will be back, 100%. We kept seeing this place pop up on Yelp, so when we stumbled across it, it seemed like something we needed to try. We are glad we did. The server was great. Very personable and right there seeing if you needed anything. Really, the entire staff were really nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very clean and nice furnished.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now to the food. I had an octopus/yuca hash. I love grilled octopus so when it's on the menu, I'm getting it. This was great. The entire dish was delicious. The hash part was so flavorful. The yuca was perfect. Not mushy, not hard. The octopus was a little chewy, but the flavor from the preparation and grilling made it YUMMERs!! My wife had the Mojo pork grilled cheese. She loved it. And she must have. She never offered me a taste. She kept it to herself. LOL. Again, a sold 4-star for food. See you all next time. Thanks.

Went here because it said it was rated #1 restaurant in the area. Maybe so but still pretty mediocre. There are 3 vegetarian options so I got the house-made veggie burger. Was just okay. All the sandwiches and burgers are priced like they come with a side but you actually have to pay an additional $5 for one. The yuca fries were small. 5 fries so $1 per. The bean hummus which was just bean dip was fine but nothing amazing. I would probably give the food like 3.5 and if our server wasn't so grumpy and inattentive then maybe could have squeaked a 4 star review but unfortunately that was not the case.

Hemingway's Tavern for Father's Day a few weeks ago. The location is so quaint, we first caught a movie next door and lunch afterwards. Being Father's day, we had about 30 minutes wait. Service was good, food was good too.

Everything was very good but my Cuban sandwich. I did not like it. We had truffle fries, tostones, black beans with rice. All amazing. Our waitress was great really took care of us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very nice to dine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We have been here multiple times and usually love the food here! After you eat here it left my mouth with great taste.

Sorry about the presentation, ate most before I photographed.

Food- excellent. Lobster ravioli had generous portions of lobster and the sauce was delectable. I ordered a naan bread to dip in the sauce, sooo good. Wednesday was 1/2 price wine so that was a nice surprise. Service-great. Very attentive and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience-an upscale sport bar vibe. Outdoor area was very pretty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will be back, thank you!

A little slice of Key West right here in Melbourne Hemingway's Tavern absolutely knocked it out of the park. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere pulls you in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place feels like a blend of an old Key West bar and a cozy island tavern, with warm wood, nautical touches, and Hemingway memorabilia everywhere you look.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has that relaxed island vibe where you immediately want to sit back, slow down, and enjoy the experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was outstanding. We started with a couple small bites and everything came out hot and perfectly prepared. The croquetas were fantastic, crispy on the outside with a creamy, savory ham filling. The empanadas were golden and flaky with a rich filling and a great dipping sauce. For the main course I went with the Cuban sandwich, and it was excellent. Perfectly pressed bread with just the right crunch, stacked with pork, ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard. Exactly what you hope for when ordering a Cuban. Then came dessert, which completely stole the show. The sweet plantain bread pudding was incredible. Warm, rich, and topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. It's one of those desserts where you keep saying "just one more bite" until it's gone. I paired it with a café con leche, which was smooth, bold, and the perfect complement to the sweetness. The service was just as impressive. Friendly, attentive, and relaxed without hovering. Drinks stayed filled, food came out quickly, and the whole meal felt easy and enjoyable. Between the great food, welcoming service, and the unique island tavern atmosphere, Hemingway's is easily one of the best dining spots in the area. If you're looking for a place with real character and fantastic food, this one is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be back.

    Hemmingwayesque atmosphere.

Service is very attentive and sweet. Waitress was so kind and took our orders and delivered our drinks and food and no times flat. The food was delicious and tasted like it was made at house such a good thing to find decent food in this area.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a great place to eat and have a good time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated quickly inside at a very small two person booth inside. The outside seating had a waitlist, so we opted for the inside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar was crowded and very lively.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Kaitlyn, our waitress, was not very personable, but she continually checked to see if we needed anything. The food was tasty and was the right portion size. The Guacamole & Plantain Chips were so good. We also had the Chicken Key West Bowl which was great! We will definitely be returning to eat. They do not take reservations and get crowded even on a Monday night, so plan to wait.

Had a nice experience here, after a long day. The menu has a nice selection, which made it easy to find something for everyone. Every dish we ordered came out nicely presented. The food itself tasted really good across the board. Fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked the right way. Nothing felt bland or rushed, which is impressive considering how large the restaurant is and they had a full house. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and overall it made for a really enjoyable meal. I will definitely be back when I'm in that area again.

Melbourne~Headed home from Ft. Lauderdale and wanted to stop into a well known spot off of I 95. This place popped up and fit the bill! Right off the bat this looked like the absolute best place to hang out. The inside was cozy and they even have their own souvenirs! That told me we were in the right place. Their menu is really extensive and had something for every taste. I definitely need to go back and try more items on their menu. It happened to be Lobster Fest so I ordered a Cuban sandwich with lobster. There was so much lobster!!! My lunch mate had a Key West bowl. Both entrees were huge and delicious! The sweet grilled plantains, in the Key West bowl, were an absolute hit. Definitely a great spot to return to!

Came for lunch with the girls on a Sunday. Espresso martini was really good. Apps were delicious! Loved the plantain chips and guac and yucca bites! Lobster bisque was delicious ! I wasn't too happy with my lobster roll. It was supposed to be cilantro butter lobster and it had no flavor. The toasted bread tasted better than the lobster. The portion was plentiful. My friends enjoyed their veggie melts and keywest bowl but my other friend said the mahi mahi was tasteless. She got jerk seasoning on the side and that fixed that. The decor was nice , tons to look at. Service was great as well. I would definitely go back but try a different entree. Something in a sauce would probably be more flavorful

Great vibe, excellent food, and wonderful service! Fresh everything. The shredded pork bowl and pulled pork were excellent!. Espresso martinis and mojitos were perfect! Had a couple rounds. ( Just wanna interject your ice tea may need a bit more water, as it was a little bitter or too strong...heard next table comment same.) Can't wait to visit again.

This is the best meal we have had in a long time. We have lived here for years and never heard of Hemingways Tavern, until friends asked us to join them. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed our experience from first walking in we were greeted immediately and taken to our table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We requested to sit on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As we walked through the restaurant, there is a bakery/ espresso area and small gift area. We ordered the Hibiscus margaritas and they were spot on. From there we ordered the smoked wings and conch fritters both were delicious. Although, we are from Tampa home of the original"Cuban" sandwich we all decided to give theirs a try, and we were not disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are walls filled with pictures and memories of Hemingway throughout the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After dinner we had the double espresso with whipped cream and chocolate ..... and once again we were not disappointed! Hemingways Tavern is a must!

I was interested if I brought a group of 6-10 ladies for a lunch or dinner at one table and a few husbands might come- to sit at another table WAY far away from the ladies on a Thursday would it be possible, with pre notice from me, reservation?

I ordered the picadillo, but unfortunately it was extremely salty--to the point that I had to send it back. The team was very kind and quickly offered to replace it with a churrasco. The steak was tender, which I appreciated, but it had a noticeable fish-like taste, possibly from being cooked on the same grill as seafood. It was also a bit salty, though not as much as the picadillo. One of my guests mentioned that his ropa vieja was also somewhat salty, although not as much as mine (he even tried my dish for comparison). The owner is a very kind and friendly gentleman, and the service overall was attentive and accommodating. However, they do need to watch their salt, as it affected several dishes. With some adjustments to seasoning, this place has great potential.
