I unexpectedly ended up in Avon lake needing a place to eat lunch with my kids. After a quick search and viewing their kids menu online this place seemed like a great choice. Upon entering I noticed it was loud which was great for brining 3 kids. I think there was only one lady tending to the tables and playing hostess. She did her best to seat us timely and check in on us. I had the blacked grouper with a side salad and it was tasty. They had a great kids menu with lots of options, sides, drink and treat included. I thought the portions were a great size and the kids loved getting a treat at the end. The fries were the star of the meal with the kids really enjoying them similar to fair fries but better consistency.

The vibe here is good flavors mixed with unique combinations. A great place to meet friends and celebrate health and friendships. We ordered different appetizers to try and is was worth every bite.

So yummy! Had a bit of a wait, but it was a Saturday morning so totally normal. Potatoes and house ranch are to die for! Super good and will be returning!

I used to patronize Sweet Melissa in Rocky River, so when it closed I was happy to find out they still had Cafe Melissa in Avon Lake. Take-out is great because you can order online and just pick up at their drive-thru. Pricing is reasonable and during Covid they would have coupon codes for certain days. My favorite items are the wings, butternut squash salad, Rhonda's Cali BLT, garlic lemon green beans, and the mac & cheese. Usually things are pretty good, just might encounter avocado missing from my sandwich now and them. Also, be aware that the wings come with celery, but no ranch/bleu cheese. This is weird, but the ranch is good so you'll definitely want to add that.

Quite possibly the worst fake corned beef ever. In fact, 2 of us thought it tasted more like ham and it looked more like ham than corned beef. There was a container of some nondescript liquid, cabbage, potatoes and carrots, none of which had any flavor. Although the soda bread had potential it was soggy from sitting in juice. All in all a not so Happy St. Patrick's Day meal

My group and I had a great Sunday brunch at Cafe Melissa! We waited for our table for about 15 minutes before being seated. The waitress was brand new but did a good job despite it being a busy Sunday morning. We ordered coffees and ice teas, which weren't anything special and kind of bland. We were impressed at the prices of the brunch items as well as the portion sizes. I ordered the North of the Border omelette, with Canadian bacon, Swiss cheese, onions, and poblanos. I couldn't taste the poblanos but the Canadian bacon was nice and salty. My brother was a huge fan of his Kayla wrap and even though Cafe Melissa is 45 minutes away, he has every intention of becoming a "regular" here. Overall, this is a nice little local business in a good part of the Cleveland metro.

If you're going for a lake view restaurant, this wasn't it. Upon entering, we were greeted by a very pleasant young lady. Seated by the window, we were pleased by the menu and the daily specials. Our server was very prompt and courteous. We ordered the walleye sandwich and the perch sandwich. Both sandwiches came with hand cut french fries and coleslaw. Our son ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato basil soup. Our food arrived very promptly. My wife and I both loved the fish and felt that it was one of the best fish sandwiches we've had in a long time. The fries were rather limp and could use some more attention by the kitchen to make them stand out more. I like a mayo based coleslaw, so I didn't really love the slaw, although it was fresh and tart. The soup was very tasty and the grilled cheese was done just right! Overall, we would recommend this restaurant and we can tell that the local crowd likes this place and has kept it in business for a long time. Now if they only had that lake view restaurant!

Delicious food, great service!…read more We stopped in for an early dinner and were greeted and sat right away. Stefan was our server and he was fabulous!! I would absolutely request to sit in his section again! He was very attentive, answered our questions, had a lot of passion, and really seemed to care! He also got our orders just right with all the special requests - which he assured us was the perks of their restaurant making things for each dish - you can customize as you need. Three of us had burgers: - Heckburger as listed on the menu, with fries - Heckburger with chicken patty, heck sauce on the side, Swiss cheese, no tomatoes or onions, and substitute onion rings for fries (slight upcharge) - Salmon burger with onion rings Burgers were delish. The brioche bun makes it! The chicken patty was great flavor! Both the fries and the onion rings were delicious. I'd likely order the fries instead of the onion rings next time. We were all happy with our meals and would order them again! Our fourth person ordered a half house salad and the wild mushroom ravioli. The house salad was a generous size and very good! The wild mushroom ravioli was soooo good! The pasta was delicate and the flavors went so well together. Our server shared that the pasta is made at Antica Italian restaurant right next store! After trying that dish, I'd absolutely go to that restaurant too. The restaurant has a great bar and a decent size outdoor seating area too! It's very nicely decorated too. I hope to return!

There is outdoor seating but it was chilly out and the vibes inside are cute and Instagram friendly, so we ate inside. There were 4 of us and we each ordered a different drink and a different crepe. I ordered the Hawaiian crepe and an iced matcha latte with oat milk. The other 3 ordered a dirty Chai, a regular Chai, and a brown sugar oat latte for their drinks and the chicken tuscan, Parisian, and the bacon avocado crepes. We were really happy with our delicious crepes but were mixed on our drinks. The crepes are huge and definitely worth the money! I can only speak for mine but I thought my Hawaiian crepe had a generous serving of ham and pineapple inside and the pineapple sauce was chunky and slightly spicy! For the two of us, my bf paid about $45. So the crepes were great but I'd like to mention a few things that bumped this down to just a 4 star experience. The limited time drinks didn't have the prices listed on their special menu. I think that, if they read this review, they should write the prices next to all items they offer. Also, they forgot to charge my bf for his crepe and didn't put in his order so the other 3 of us had our crepes for a few minutes already before he asked where his was. They apologized and whipped his up immediately so he didn't have to wait in line. They still had him pay at the end though. Oh well! And lastly, they ABSOLUTELY need better ventilation here - your clothes will smell like fried food until you get home and wash them! Don't wear something non-washable here haha. Anyway, I'd come here again if I'm in the area for a crepe or two!

The restaurant has a bright, airy atmosphere that feels welcoming even on a slightly cloudy day. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful from the moment we arrived. Kitchen Social is known for its artisan dough pizzas, so we ordered the mushroom pizza, and it certainly did not disappoint. We also tried the Korean BBQ Cauliflower and the Shrimp & Grits...both flavorful and well executed. Since it was Happy Hour, we naturally enjoyed a few cocktails to accompany the meal. We sampled both the Maple Old Fashioned and the traditional Old Fashioned, then ventured a bit further with the Tequila Thyme and the Sangria. Each cocktail was well crafted and enjoyable in its own right. Best of all, because it was Happy Hour, the experience was easy on the wallet. Great food, excellent service, enjoyable drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere make Kitchen Social a place I'll definitely be returning to.

The entrées get up there around $24 and all the ones I've had have been fantastic. today I did the roasted chicken $24, and it was so good I cried. great mushroom flavor & maybe a soy sauce type on the chicken sauté. it was so good.
