Ahh, man. I unfortunately have to update my review. Recently, it was our third visit to First Watch. We are creatures of habit and ordered the chickichunga again. Third time is supposed to be a charm, but not this time. Arrived home to discover that the tortilla was burnt on the top, there was no chicken (in a chickichunga no less), no avocado and no onion. Some of the potatoes were hard, but overly salted in general. I am not sure what happened from my past two visits but I am not so sure I will return to this location. I need consistency when I am spending money. I am sure you do too. Wait staff is friendly though no doors were opened for me on this visit. LOL When I called the hostess and manager offered to make it right if I could come back to have the meals replaced. I was too far away at that point as they would have closed before I was able to return. They gave me a prompt partial credit on the meal. It would have been nice to receive a gift card or certificate like Panera does when they mess up, but nothing. This doesn't leave a good impression with me especially with other breakfast spots nearby. read more

I recently had breakfast at First Watch for the second time. The first time was a wonderful experience. This time was terrible. I requested a crispy waffle and it arrived like mush. It took me 15 minutes to get the waiter's attention to send it back. Not once did he check on my table. read more

I'm giving this place 1 star for the ambience and nothing more. If not having a nice place the rating should be no star at all. Food serving is so stingy in size that me and my wife had to go to mc Donald's across the street to satisfy our hunger. We're just average built so yes go figure, their food size portions are for people who likely are on a diet. Food pricing is not reasonable also. The taste is not something you will come back, not even average rating. In summary, if you like to just hang out and drink in the morning then this is the place. This is my second time here, food is so delicious, restaurant looks clean. My server Chaun was super nice very knowledgeable on the menu he recommended couple things on the menus and his recommendations were amazing. I'll definitely come back and have Chaun as my server. Well done read more

A friend and I went for brunch yesterday. There was a wait but it was Sunday so that was to be expected. This restaurant is spacious and bright with a wall of windows at the front. Tables are spread out so you feel you have plenty of room. We had the ginger spice doughnuts to start and they were warm and delicious. I had the Monterey Club Sandwich which had turkey, avocado, bacon, cheese and tomato on a sourdough type bread. It was fresh and tasty. The bread should have been toasted but I enjoyed it. My friend had the carrot cake pancake which was huge. She said it was excellent. The coffee was great and the service was good. Definitely a return trip in the future. read more

I loved the Belgium waffle! It was airy, crisp, salty and sweet! The best waffle I have had in a long time. My husband had the croque madame which he really liked. We also tried the cinnamon crunch cinnamon roll which was way too sweet. I gave it 4 stars because my waffle came out cold but it was still good! Our waitress was great, reminded us of Selma Hayek. Atmosphere was clean and the noise was mild. Overall I would recommend giving First Watch a try. read more

Love this place, really like the menu and the Bacacdo omelette is hard for me not to order . Good coffee and great service.

I used to have good experience with First Watch. I'm a bit disappointed this morning as I was given a burned sausage . It was placed face down so I don't see the burned side. This act is a bit dishonest. The store manager is nice to exchange the sausage for me. I also feel that you have to train your waiter so he can see the need of customer. read more

Not Sure if I will come back to this place again. We love this pace ever since we came a couple months ago. But, today it's definitely changed our mind ..... My 12 years old and I just came out from there this morning feeling so discriminated by Waitress B. We went in there this morning and Waitress A lead us to a booth table. As we were about to be seated at the booth, Waitress B came up sharply and told Waitress A "don't give them this table". So Waitress A put us at a different table. My first thought was maybe because we are only a party of 2 and I didn't think it was big deal. Moments later, Waitress B brought out our food and asked which goes who very rudely. I still kindly responded to her to just put in middle of the table. Then, she sounded kind of annoyed "WHERE IN THE TABLE", so I said to her "just anywhere on the table". A few minutes later, my 12 years old asked "Mommy, is that waitress B not like us?". I asked "Why"? Then, my 12 years old said " well, you know how Waitress B didn't let us sit that booth table because we thought we are just two people, but now how come that two people could take table"? I looked over and I was speechless to my 12 old years. The worst thing is that when I mentioned this issue to manager as we we were leaving and paying bill, he didn't even believe us. He said " I am not sure what you said is true, but I can follow up with my waitress". So, it's ok for Waitress B to have a different set of eyes to treat us differently that she didn't want to give us booth and talked to us rudely as she was bringing out our food? I went to the person near the check in station who claimed to be the manager and asked for help as there was broken glass on our table and floor. He ignored me. Great new breakfast/lunch place in Naperville. Cute atmosphere. We went on a Monday morning and it was not very busy at all (had only been open for a week or so). I ordered the kale tonic fresh juice which was delicious and refreshing, along with the elevated egg sandwich. I would order both again. My husband said his "million dollar bacon" was some of the best bacon he has had and totally worth it. I would like to go back and try other things on the menu. Service was top notch! Food was off the charts! I can't wait to go back & try more things on the menu! I had the breakfast carnitas, million dollar bacon & was so obsessed with their homemade jam that I bought some to bring home!! Everyone at our table LOVED their food! Having visited First Watch restaurants in Ohio and Missouri, I was expecting much better in my own backyard. Unfortunately it turned out to be quite disappointing. The restaurant was noisy, the food bland abd a bit over-priced, and the staff unusually dis-engaged. The manager, however, was eager to help and quite friendly, but clearly trying hard, and almost unsuccessfully, to keep customers happy without much assistance from most of her staff. Given the experience, the restaurant certainly didn't meet expectations compared to other First Watch locations, or even the local diner a couple of miles down the road in Lisle. I doubt we'll be coming back any time soon. read more

Strange experience. We had the misfortune of having an extremely abrasive, combative waitress. Upon being seated we waited 15 minutes for her to come to our table and asked "what do you need?" In a hostile tone to our large table of all-ethnic guests in an other wise homogeneous environment. This didn't seem to be her demeanor towards other customers, unfortunately. It's possible she was having a bad day but it's really not ok to lash out at people you don't know, in any situation in life ans certainly not customers you are waiting on at a restaurant that are being polite to you despite your red-flag behavior. read more

Wife and I both had omelets. We decided not the place to got for eggs. The filling was added to the omelet cold. It was not good. The only time in my 65+ years I was not able to finish my food. Our waitress was also disinterested and not pleasant. Won't be returning any time soon. read more

Everything was perfect for us here today. My wife had the Farmhouse Skillet, and I had the Brisket Corned Beef Hash. Both were excellent and the ingredients all tasted fresh. I really liked that they leave a carafe of coffee at the table so you can refill at will. The restaurant is new, nicely decorated and was very clean. This restaurant puts an upscale modern twist to standard breakfast and lunch fare, with a limited menu compared to most bkfst/lunch places. I had lemon ricotta pancakes one day, and a farmhouse "skillet" the next. Pancakes were tasty. I didn't care for the latter option. Just not my taste, but execution was fine. The coffee was delicious. Open ceiling restaurants are very noisy for conversations; this was no exception. Only a few booths; mostly tables with nice chairs. For a broader menu, although still noisy, I would choose HoneyJam on the next block, or Buttermilk a few blocks away. North Naperville/Diehl Rd/Ogden Ave has many breakfast options. This would not be my first choice because I prefer a more traditional menu. Excellent attentive friendly wait staff on both visits. read more
