We have been trying each first watch in different states that were able to. This is our first time to try Tennessee and it did not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly, food was delicious and I LOVE the blazing dragon drink! Patio area where we chose to sit was very nice, shaded and they have ceiling fans! I'm thrilled that FW has made its way to Oak Ridge--finally, a true sit‑down breakfast spot in town! Walking in, you'll immediately notice the open, airy layout. There are tables, booths, bar/counter seats, plus outdoor seating, and windows galore that flood the room with natural light. It's bright, cheerful, and instantly welcoming. Every visit I've made, the place has been spotless--dining room, restrooms, everything. Plus the WiFi is solid, making this a great weekday spot to work from when I want to linger; they've always seemed fine with me setting up at the bar counter in the corner and staying until closing. Service has always been great. Contrary to some negative reviews I've seen, I've not had a bad experience here. Every server has been courteous, attentive, and hustling--nothing sloppy, no waiting around. As for the food--nothing but hits so far. Every dish I've ordered has been delicious, the temperature spot‑on, and the presentation pleasing. Some of my favorite go‑tos: Morning Meditation Fresh Juice -- crisp and refreshing Market Hash -- two cage‑free eggs any style, atop fresh seasoned potatoes, with house‑roasted Crimini mushrooms, zucchini, shallots, red peppers, baby spinach, melted Mozzarella, and herbed Goat cheese; served with whole grain artisan toast Bacado Omelet -- bacon, avocado, Monterey Jack, topped with sour cream, served with house‑made Pico de Gallo, lemon‑dressed organic mixed greens, and artisan toast They even rotate seasonal menu items, so there's always something new to try. Came here for lunch with my family on Saturday around 12:30, and had a wonderful time. When we arrived the restaurant looked crowded, so I was worried it would be a long wait. However, we were seated right away. Our server immediately brought us coffee and got our 8 year old some hot chocolate (loaded with whipped cream and chocolate sauce, which he loved). It took a little bit for us to figure out what we wanted because there were so many good options. I went with their Italian inspired omelet with sausage, cheese, roasted peppers and tomatoes. My husband got the pick two from the lunch side with the super food kale salad and ham and Gruyère melt. While our son got the kids bacon and eggs with fruit and toast. The food came out at a good pace and was hot when it arrived. I loved my omelette. It tasted fresh and light and I loved the pop of the roasted tomatoes in it. The toast and jam they served with it were great. The grain bread was so good. I ended up getting potatoes instead of the salad (no extra charge) and they made them crispy which was just how I wanted them. The surprise for both my husband and I was the salad he got. Normally, neither of us are fond of kale but in that salad it was delicious. It wasn't super tough or butter which can sometimes be an issue. The melt was also good. Our son devoured his entire plate and was super happy with everything. Which is always a huge plus. This was a perfect place to come with everyone. It was inviting, fast and with good food. Apparently a new brunch place that opened up this year. It's very aesthetic on the inside, walked in sat immediately. Slightly felt pressured to order quickly, in terms of food we got the salmon Benedict and the steak n eggs chimichurri. Food is saltier than I would like, like actually really salty especially the potatoes aka hashbrowns. Also not really a steak more like small beef pieces but there wasn't that much, 15% meat, 80% potaoes not hashbrowns, eggs very fine. Portions for Benedict smaller than expected. Overall food was fine, there's notice brunch spots in the area, but I wouldn't necessarily seek this out. read more

I love your food, but evidently, it is not good to go. I ordered a ham and gruyere grilled cheese sandwich. I had to wait once I got there because I was a few minutes early, but when I got it five minutes later, the sandwich was cold and the bread not crispy at all. The food is always good here with the exception of my visit when my breakfast tacos tasted like they were bathed in salt. When I said something to the server, she commented that "a lot of people were. Molding about it". Well why not say something instead of letting me order it??? Anyway. Put a reservation in at 11:45 online, it said the wait would be 40 min to an 1hr and 10 min. Showed up at 12:25 (with my three toddlers in tow) and checked in only to be told it would be another 40 min. I said I'd just cancel my reservation and barely got an apology. This may be a new location but certainly not a new chain so it's disappointing that their service was so inconsistent and unaccommodating. First let me say that I love First Watch and I eat here at least once a week. However today was not a great experience. I got here at 11:10. The hostess seated me immediately and then I waited 23 minutes before my waitress came. Mind you the restaurant was not super busy when I arrived... lots of open tables. I did not get my food until noon a full 50 minutes after I arrived. I tried the new croissant million dollar bacon sandwich on the Fall menu. It was amazing but it does have jalapeños on it so probably not for everyone. To top my poor service I ran out of ice tea mid sandwich and spent a good 19 minutes with nothing to drink. I don't know if it was the waitress or the kitchen problem but definitely not the standard I expect from First Watch! read more

The wait was estimated thirty to forty minutes and we were told it should be less. We probably waited ten to fifteen. So that's a plus. I needed the napkin and so I opened the napkin and my utensils were dirty. My husband's was too. The food is expensive which we knew. My bowl was a great size. It was delicious. My husband's was great. My husband saw lots of workers didn't have hair up or hair nets. The last part that made this a three star instead a four was the table next to us was so dirty. It was definitely messes for more than two groups. The group that was there while we were there had no children. And when we left there was a crayon. I've always had excellent service and food. This is one of my favorite places to eat with my daughter and granddaughter.

I've been 3 times since they opened, each time with high hopes, and each time disappointed and dissatisfied. The servers carry out their service in a manner that is blatantly prefunctory. Long wait times for seating and for orders. The food COULD be so good but it's slopped together so carelessly and every time I've ordered the same thing but gotten 3 different degrees of quality/warmth/doneness. Bacon is raw or burnt. Eggs are hard scrambled or cooked so fast the whites are still clear and slimy. My servers have been inattentive, disinterested to the point that on one occasion our server even seemed to be inconvenienced by having customers. I am hyper-respectful to people who prepare my food (as one who prefers my sustenance untampered with), I tip very well, and I strive to be an easy customer to serve. For this particular First Watch, you won't like your meal cost when the service is sub-par. You'll likely tip out of pity or human decency towards your server, and not for the quality of service. TLDR; starting with service and ending with food quality, this place can and should do alot better, given all the local anticipation to have a healthier-than-fast food option in town. read more

This review is all about the service. My wife loves their avocado toast so i ordered her some. On the first call in I was put on hold for a few minutes only to hear a click. That happens. I called back in and placed my order. I also asked for chicken and waffles and i got a rather snooty, "we don't have chicken and waffles". I mean what brunch place doesn't have that??? It wasn't like i ordered pizza. So I only ordered food for my wife no big deal. I enter the "to-go door" and stood there for a few minutes waiting to be recognized. An employee asked if i needed to place an order and i said im picking up an order. She said i don't have any orders. I explained that i called it in so she directed me towards the front door. So now I go to the hostess stand. I get in line to speak to someone only to realize there is yet another place to go. There my wife's food is waiting and $21 later I'm out the door with avocado toast. My wife enjoyed the toast but not her eggs because they were so cold. read more
