This is more on the service than the food. Food was fine, nothing outstanding. Here's where everything went wrong. Although the place was not crowded, our breakfast dishes came out and were placed in front of customers at a different table!! Aftrer BOTH plates were put in front of the others, one server, picked up the posted and proceeded to bring one plate to my wife. Mine...disappeared! Flagged down our server, who apologized for the serving to the wrong table. My plate had to be reordered. Finally the dish was served. Upon paying the bill, the mgr asked the usual, how was everything. When I explained that happened, the mgr stepped right up and comped our meal. Kudos to the mgr for stepping up. Will I be back? Hard to say, first time I've ever had to lodge a complaint about l meal/service at an establishment. Guess I'll have to wait and see. read more

We met our son's family to have a birthday breakfast. We were seated and greeted right away. Then the disfunction began. Our 5 meals were brought in 3 shifts, so we couldn't all eat at once. Eggs were brought without toast. We asked for more coffee and some silverware - never happened - my son went and got the silverware so the food wouldn't get too cold. My daughter in law's meal was cold when delivered. The waitress took it off the bill and brought a new meal which was her attempt to help us, which we appreciated. After waiting approximately 20 minutes to be seated and driving 15 miles to the establishment, I am more than disappointed. Two other tables had arrived after us and had gotten their coffee and juice. Took 7 minutes to get the coffee. No regular cream on the table we took from another table because the waitress couldn't even get the coffee order correct. Two pieces of silverware were dirty. The food was excellent. The bathroom was filthy disgusting. One stall with an out of order sign but the door was open and you couldn't unsee the toilet. Soap dispenser old and rusty. Wow is all I can say, not in a good way. After having an 1:10 minute wait to enter then having to wait an additional hour for our food come was exhausting. The French toast was brick hard (it's bread it comes out the packaging soft) the eggs were crunchy, flaky edges wasn't room temperature let alone hot. The oatmeal presentation was commerical ready but not eatable warm or palatable. I wouldn't advise coming to this First Watch. The look on the patron's faces as they waited, famished could be viewed from every angle of the restaurant. Leaving an establishment with dissatisfaction after HAVING to pay money is really frustrating. Our attendee told us that the bricked French toast "was all that they could do" adding insult to injury. Visited from out of town and gave first watch a few tries due to convenience to my hotel. On the first instance, the staff was incredibly slow and rude, the food was fine. This last time trying first watch, I placed my order online and waited an extra 30 minutes after the time it said my food would be ready - and the restaurant wasn't even busy when I arrived to get my food. I opened my food to discover that I paid about $4 for a side of fruit and another $4 for a side of avocado that, to my disappointment, hardly contained any food at all. See photos. I started with the Cold Brew Coffee, which is brewed with Organic 100% Aztec beans. The beans are available to take home in the lobby too. I added creamer to it because I like my coffee full of cream. I ordered off the Summer Specials' List for my first meal of the day. I ordered the Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash and the Million Dollar Bacon. The Million Dollar Bacon lives up to it's title. It is 4 huge slices of crispy bacon cooked in brown sugar, black pepper, and cayenne then coated with rich maple syrup drizzle. Soo yummy! I ordered the Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash, without the corn actually. The base was golden seasoned potatoes, spicy chorizo, and fresh scallions. Then topped with two eggs (over easy) cooked your favourite style. Next layer is sliced avocado, Cotija cheese, chipotle crema sauce, and fresh cilantro sprinkled. We visited for breakfast and were pleased to see the variety of fressh and wholesome foods prepared in creative ways. This place is clearly a step up from the traditional breakfast chains like IHOP and Denny's. The multigrain pancakes with blueberries were delicious. It came with a berry compote which also became a tasty alternative to jelly on our toast. The scrambled eggs were fairly good but could have used a bit more seasoning. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to First Watch and plan to stop by again to try some of the other menu items. read more

Checked in and was told the wait would be 45 minutes for a table if 4. While waiting we noticed numerous empty tables including a table of four which sat empty for at least twenty minutes. Hostess continued to place parties of two at tables which could hold four, or in the alternative, be split into two tables of two. After waiting 35 mins, my daughter checked on the remaining wait time and was told by the hostess that it would be another 30 mins for a total of a 65 minute wait. When my daughter asked why the 20 min extended wait time when again there were tables open, the hostess snapped at my daughter that we were always quoted 45-60 min wait, an outright lie as confirmed by another couple who heard her tell us 45 minutes. The fact she snapped at my daughter for simply asking a question is rude. How are you in hospitality with an attitude like that? Also their inability to bus tables in a timely manner resulting in extended waiting times putting these positions back into the rotation makes absolutely no sense. Our treatment was poor at best. I will never go here again and I will make sure to share my experience with friends in the area. read more

I failed so hard and I regret nothing. Million Dollar Bacon! I'm obsessed. I wanted to try this place for a long time, but never got the chance until recently. So finally got to try it for breakfast, on one of their outside table. This place gets packed really fast and you need to be careful at the time you get in. The inside was literally packed and having over one hour wait a few minutes after we arrived. It gets really loud inside in this case... I tried the power wrap (vegetarian option) with coffee, one of my friend took the regular power wrap (with turkey) and the other one some French toasts. The presentation of the plates were really good, the service with no comment and the food amazing. I can't wait to go back and try another of their specialties. Note: they do not have a lot of vegetarian options on the menu, but when asking the power wrap with no meat, it didn't seems to be an issue. Came here for my free birthday entree and enjoyed my first visit to this new location. Our waitress, Shannon, was super attentive to our needs especially with the 2 people with dietary restrictions. The one person was on the fence about ordering since they were super busy and wanted to make sure that they were able to accommodate her needs. Shannon brought back Sterling, the general manager, who assured us that the food was going to made to order because "you came here to eat". He personally prepared her food & even came out to make sure everything was to her liking. We dined on a Thursday at 12pm. The restaurant is very loud but considering the decor (industrial) it is understandable. My friend and I had to practically yell to be heard. The food was exceptional. Unfortunately the service really brought the experience down. We are seated with no silverware. When she brought out drinks there were no straws (had to ask). I asked what was the soup of the day and she had no idea and went to the kitchen to ask. When our food arrived she said she had to bring me a spoon for my soup but we still didn't have basic silverware. When she brought my spoon and I told her I was missing a condiment she left so fast AGAIN we couldn't tell her NO SILVERWARE! We didn't get silverware until after I received my missing condiment. Each request made of her made me think she didn't want to be at work as it took several minutes between each as she was doing other tables as well. Never did she check on us to make sure everything was okay. Towards the end of our meal there was at least 10 minutes when she wasn't on the floor. I rate the ambiance 3 out of 5 stars, the food 5 and the service 1. read more

I recommend anyone to try the lemon ricotta pancakes, it's a nice sweet dish but isn't overpowering to the point that it feels like you're eating dessert for breakfast. I also tried for the first time at this location just a classic style Eggs Benedict that was also tasty (you can't go wrong with Eggs Benedict!). It is funny, I so did not want to like this place. I have been to other First Watch(s) in other locations and I find then pretentious and a little smug. Just my I am sure. That being said, I begrudgingly really like this place. The layout is a little hectic, but casual. It is tight moving around the tables but still once you are seated it is roomy. The food, unlike the other places I have been, was well portioned and extremely tasty. When I say tasty, I really mean it. For a 'healthy' choice establishment, they manages to get some flavor added. My sympathies to the management for their personnel problems, yet this review is to support diners in making a good choice. Their restaurant app allowed us to put our name on the waitlist before arriving. When we arrived we were told that it quoted us wrongly and that it was not 20 minutes but 40 minutes that we'd need to wait. It actually took over 90 minutes. The hostesses were totally unprepared to deal with a busy Black Friday. The kitchen was equally ill-prepared. Our service was pretty bad too- our server only had 4 tables- hardly a challenge. By the time we were seated, we were already bothered. Not because of the wait but because we watched them mismanage our wait- making us feel like we needed to participate to get seated. The server took our drink order after 10 minutes and then came back 10 minutes later with our coffee. 20 minutes just to get our coffee. Food was just okay. Some of our group really enjoyed their meals, I personally found mine to be mediocre. And, I tasted the food of others and wasn't impressed. Maybe it would be fine if there was no noise, no line, no hassle. But given the chaos of the experience, it didn't even begin to make up for it. All in all, it was a poor experience. I was hesitant to try this local chain, I guess because sometimes chain restaurants that specialize in breakfast have overrated breakfasts (I'm sure you can think of a few). However, First Watch proved me wrong. I had their french toast and it was one of the better french toasts I've ever had, two big pieces that were really filling but didn't leave me feeling sick to my stomach from being overly sweet, and weren't greasy. Just perfectly flavorful with the right amount of fluff and chew, which is always hard to find the right balance for in french toast. Plus they give you lots of chocolate peppermints, and I know I'm not a kid anymore, but hey, it's cute. I can't fault them, would definitely return and try more breakfast items. read more

This is as good as any other first watch and it's in an excellent location. The only problem is during the winter it's very cold in here and the last time I was here I wore my coat the whole time not sure if it was my imagination but my coffee sure did cool down quickly. I ordered some sort of a quinoa bowl and they customized it for me which I really appreciated it was awesome it was awesome and I've often tried to duplicate it at home although not so successfully.
