Even with our party of nine, we were greeted right away and seated sooner than expected, which was a great start to the visit. The menu was the same as the one back home, making it easy to choose some of our favorites. The food arrived quickly, and the quality was just what I've come to expect -- fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. First Watch is my place for breakfast and brunch but one of my favorites has recently changed. First Watch is known for their innovative menu and superb seasonal offerings. On the plus side my go to entree 'pick 2 of soup, salad and sandwich' price has not really changed. I am so pleased that this selection has not downsized or increased in price like other restaurants. I switch up the sandwich or soup but have always ordered the chicken avocado chopped salad. What has always impressed me most was the fresh vegetable elements and the crunch of tortilla chips. I know change is inevitable but recently First Watch changed the recipe for the avocado chop. The salad used to feature fresh corn kernels and tortilla chip strips but now has freeze dried corn instead. This is smaller than a corn nut and really does not impart much flavor. I still order this but the disappointment for me seems to outweigh the enjoyment these days. Maybe I need a new favorite. read more

My family and I were visiting Orlando went here for breakfast on Saturday June 20th . While sitting at the table the manager Margret yells rudely across the room from the register to the hostess they've been finished 40 min ago they should have left 20 min ago get them out . I will admit we were done eating breakfast I also want to add as a customer I am also very conscious of holding up seats as I myself do not like . So my family and I were catching up however , I kept looking back at the door just to make sure there were no other patrons waiting to be seated. I say all that to say there was a large family but they were outside unbeknown to me or my family . The manager could have respectfully came to the table and address us and we would have completely understood and immediately got up so another family can sit . Needless to say i addressed her she denied at first and then began continually apologizing for her obnoxious behavior I am very sad that this happened and I was mortified for my family of 8 . I used to order food from here a lot until they started burning my potatoes every time. I literally stopped ordering from there and am scared to go to any of them because of how they've made my food the last few times. The eggs were weird, potatoes burnt, bacon jiggly, and pancakes super greasy. That was the last time where most of my food came yucky. Asked us to wait and she would let us know. Came back and then led us to the booth. Unfortunately, we were not greeted by a friendly face asking for our drink order and whether we wanted coffee. Instead we waiting 20 minutes for anyone to greet us. Our server finally came around. Took our drinks, came back with the drinks but, did not bring the glass of ice or napkins that we requested. He then took our food order. 30 minutes later our food was brought out by a runner, not our server. Our food was cold. Our server did not check on us for another 20 minutes. Had to explain to our out of town visitors that this is absolutely not normal for first watch. We will no longer frequent this First Watch. Which is unfortunate. read more

My mom, my aunt, their friend, my sister, and I came in for breakfast today after they scooped me up from the airport. We were seated at a booth inside and were quickly greeted by our welcoming waitress. She was lovely! She got us coffees, took drink orders, and then returned for our food orders. We got the seasonal pumpkin spice donuts (donut holes) for the table, which were soft and sweet! For our entree, my sister and I shared the BLT Eggs Benedict with the spring mix side as well as a side of breakfast potatoes. Everything was tasty, as always! This was my first time at this location and I loved it. I was here for a book club meeting. Was we ordered even though the food took a bit of time to come out our waitress was Amazing and attentive. Ceci has redeemed this location! Good friends and I stopped in today for a late breakfast/ early lunch/brunch. We shared the seasonal blueberry lemon cornbread which was bursting with flavor! Definitely order this if you have a large party to share with! It's prepared in a gratin dish, so it's hefty! My friends both had omelettes and thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the shrimp and grits and they were stellar. Lots of flavor and lovely big shrimp. I hate when they use salad shrimp or teeny shrimp for this dish. The andouille was perfection as well, not too spicy and not too oily. A really well balanced dish. I frequently visit Orlando and I love to come here for breakfast or brunch. There was 10 min wait for party of 3 which isn't bad. I had 1/2 sandwich of turkey and tomato soup. The Cobb salad was good but didn't really like the roast beef sandwich. It was very salty and mushy. The traditional trifecta breakfast was the best, the classic waffles. One day, I decided to finally give it another shot, and man I do not regret it! This place is actually really good!!! I was shocked and how impressed I was. The only issue I had was a long wait time to place my order. I think they may have forgotten about us but there was a sweet server who noticed that we were not being attended. The interior was modern and beautiful. Our waitress was incredibly nice as well. I had the Tri Fecta with turkey sausage, eggs, and a waffle. The waffle was too crispy for me, I prefer my waffles fluffy. The sausage and eggs were yummy though! My girlfriend had the Smoked Salmon and Vegetable Fritata. She LOVED it. She really liked the greens on the side, I also tried some and as a picky vegetable eater, the dressing made it incredible. The bread that came with it was way too crispy and had no flavor. I am not sure why it was on the plate because she ended up not eating it, I tried it as well, very hard. The Blazing Dragon is a seasonal juice drink, VERY yummy and came with real dragon fruit pieces. We visited this location today with my family coming from overseas, the service from our server was great. My mother dropped her wallet at the restaurant and we realized about 30-ish minutes later. I immediately called the restaurant to inquire and was told by the person on the phone that they didn't have it, I insisted, she put me on hold, came back and said that she asked her team and nothing had been turned in. I inquired about their cameras and she said she was not sure if they had cameras, and that she would check with a manager. I had enough time to drive from the outlets back to the restaurant, this lady still had me on hold. I asked to speak to their on duty manager and when I asked for footage the Waller magically appeared!!! The manager seemed very moody, he could've turned this situation into a win situation by being empathetic and show themselves as heroes!! But no, he walked to us and with a passive aggressive attitude began saying how thankful we should be that someone turned it in. He seemed irritated for some reason. Why were we told no wallet was found until we showed up! Thank goodness we came back because if we would've just taken their word it would've been completely lost!!! Admittedly, we are very spoiled in Southern California with delicious food, so by California standards, this place is a bit above average. We shared the chickachanga and a side of million dollar bacon. Both were tasty; the bacon was nicely flavored but would have been better as a thicker cut. The chickachanga also had good flavor, but the ingredients could have been more evenly distributed throughout. The fruit was not great. I usually love grapes, but these were tasting off, so I spit mine out (which I hardly ever do). The blueberries were also not really sweet at all. We sat at the bar to avoid the 40 minute wait, and the bartender was very friendly and helpful. No complaints about the service. Overall, I would rate it 3.5 stars, but the shortcomings knocked it down to 3 for me. Would I come here again? Maybe; the pancakes did look delicious (large and fluffy), so we may try sweet next time. read more

I've been to several First Watch locations in Central Florida. This is their newest location. It is located in the shopping plaza on Kirkman and I-Drive. The place was packed, as expected. The food and service were on par with other locations I've visited. I could tell that they were a bit short staffed. Our server (bless her heart) was super busy, running all over the place. But her service and attention was still top notch. This will be my favorite location from now on, since it is much closer to my residence. I had the super delicious Shrimp and Grits, which is a seasonal offering that I hope stays permanent. It is my favorite dish there. My Son had the Hacienda Hash and said it was superb. We also shared an order of Biscuits and Gravy (you gotta have this) and an order of Million Dollar Bacon (will probably not get the bacon again. It is good, but too expensive for 4 slices of bacon) We devoured everything. No leftovers. That's how good everything was. First Watch has been around for quite a bit of time. In fact, First Watch can trace its roots back to 1983 when the first location opened in Pacific Grove California.
