We searched for a breakfast restaurant and came upon First Watch. We thoroughly enjoyed our menu selections. The menu is great if you have a party with varied food tastes. It will even impress a foodie, yet there were traditional menu items too. The hostess, waitstaff and servers were very courteous, attentive and friendly. The vide is modern warehouse so it was a little noisy. The coffee was excellent as were some of the juices and drinks from their specialty spring menu. We would definitely recommend and be happy to have a meal there again if in the area. read more

Favorite breakfast spot in Oxford! Some of the menu items I love are their million dollar bacon, kale tonic, purple haze, all versions of their eggs benedict (especially the smoked salmon one), the farmhouse hash, the elevated egg sandwich... but hands down my absolute most adored dish that keeps me coming back time and time again is the pesto chicken quinoa bowl! I always add avocado and it's literally the best thing on the menu to me. One really great thing about it is it's versatility- I'll order a poached egg on top to have it for breakfast or can order it as is for any other meal. We went for breakfast and got the veggie skillet hash, it was very flavorful and filling. We also shared a seasonal acai bowl which was super refreshing and came with grai. I had the kale tonic fresh juice and I had to pace myself because it was so delicious. The market hash with 2 eggs over medium was great. Even the toast and fresh fruit side were good. A very pretty breakfast, brunch, and lunch place. Took my girlfriend here for the first time and loved it! The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the staff is beyond friendly. Service is quick and the food is really filling. I ordered the baked salmon frittata and substituted the mixed greens for potatoes. So disappointing. We have first watch in Arizona and it's great so I was excited to have it here. My boyfriend and I went and waited roughly 40 minutes after being on their online waitlist for an hour. When we were seated the server, Tasha, got our drink order and then we didn't see her for probably 30 minutes. She came to take our order and the food arrived quickly. Unfortunately the order was incorrect and the food was incredibly bland. Tasha didn't bring us our drink order but charged us for it among other items that we never received. My boyfriend mentioned the check was incorrect she aggressively grabbed in from my hands while I was still reading it. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing but that's about it. First Watch's manager, Tyler Stamper, was very rude to one of his employees. He yelled and screamed at her in the kitchen loud enough for the customers to hear. I was eating with my child and she asked me why he was so angry with her. This particular server has waited on us a few times and every single time she was nothing but sweet and considerate. I can only imagine what she felt like in that moment. Additionally, this is not the first time me and my daughter have visited First Watch and saw the same manager yelling at other servers. It is very inappropriate and disrespectful to the employees and the customers. I have been to many restaurants like First Watch and I have never seen a manager with that kind of attitude. read more

BUT my wife insisted on us going for brunch last week, and I thought yeah sure, surely they've learned how to cook within the past 5 years. Boy was I wrong. I ordered the sausage, eggs, potatoes, and toast breakfast because sorry you can't screw that up. They screwed it up. I took one bite of the non pork, pork sausage, one bite of the powdered eggs, I couldn't bring myself to eat the moldy toast. My wife and I have been here twice now and we have yet to be disappointed. Breakfast options in Oxford are limited so it was nice to find another option other than iHop, Huddle House, Big Bad Breakfast or fast food I had the Ham and Gruyere omelet and it was excellent with the potatoes. Wife had the Bacado omelet and says it was awesome - crunchy bacon, fluffy eggs, overall delicious. All was brought out steaming warm and very quickly. The servers are attentive and helpful, especially when our table began wobbling as soon as we sat down. Kevin, our server, came to the rescue and stopped the wobble. Hopefully they fix the table permanently. Fully recommend First Watch over Big Bad Breakfast. In my opinion, better food, better atmosphere and better value. While it may be expensive, iHop isn't much cheaper and if you are wanting cheap, hit up McDonald's. Otherwise, enjoy a great meal here. read more

This is a nice restaurant and they are usually busy. I like the Belgium Waffle with suger free syrup. Small fruit bowl with regular bacon. The coffee is ok. In the kitchen they do not have heat lamps so if they are busy your food will be cold. Not a good thing to me. Otherwise, it is a nice restaurant. read more
