On October, 25th, stopped at Carpet One to look a floor rugs, 4 total needed.  Salesperson, Sherry-Lynn Passana waited on us.  I explained what type of rugs I was looking for and that all the rugs would be in one room and would need to match.  She showed us examples in a book, and agreed that they color scheme was what I was looking for. At that point, I told her I would call with the sizes that I needed the following day.  I called her, and we spoke about the sizes, and she gave me the quote.  She said she wanted to check and see if the rugs were in stock, I had a return call from her, about 20 minutes later.  At that time, she told me that the rugs were in stock, however there were only 2 rugs in stock on one of them, and that if I was going to order them, I needed place the order immediately to make sure that the rugs would all be available. I agreed and placed the order. I was never told that the rugs were non-refundable.  I received an invoice in the mail regarding the purchase, and never signed or initial any of the contract, the following week. The rugs were to arrive the following week, I called Sherry and she said they had not arrived.  She than called the warehouse, and was told there was a mix-up on their end and their computers had the wrong inventory and they were short 2 of the rugs, but no problem they would be there the following week. I contacted Sherry, the first part of November wanted the new rugs for Thanksgiving, and was then told that the rugs were stuck out on the ocean in a cargo container but would arrive as soon as they get off the ship. Expect another 3 weeks for delivery. Called Sherry, on Friday, January 28th, regarding the rugs, and she checked and the rugs had arrived I was than informed to pick the rugs up at one of their sister stores.  We picked the rugs up, and immediately, after paying for them, and driving to the loading dock, and as they loaded the rugs it was apparent the colors were wrong.  I was instructed that if there was a problem, I needed to go back to the Carpet One store and speak to my salespersons. On arriving, Sherry went to ask her supervisor what to do, she came back and said they were non-returnable and non-refundable.  I than went to her supervisor's office and told him that he needed to come out and look at the rugs and figure this situation out.   He was unwilling to even talk about the rugs said that it's policy and he would not consider a return and tried to say it's a difference in the color dye of the rugs. Said these rugs are far from the rugs we picked out, these are bright blue and unacceptable.  We left the rugs at Carpet One, told him he would need to figure this out, that we were not accepting them. I am attaching 2 photos, the darker one is what we were expecting, the blue one is what arrived. There are so many of these scams on Facebook, that I see people posting they order something and a lesser low-grade product arrives, I felt going directly to a brick-mortar building and business that has operated for many years in Rapid City, SD would treat us fairly, I guess I am totally mistaken. Dark rug is what I ordered, the blue one is what they expect me to take. Add Sherry is a great salesperson, has nothing to do with her, it's the top bosses on this one.

Fischer's should save their postage money because these go straight into the trash in which we then burn forever!

My husband and I are still mad at Fischer's for, after we paid in full, came back almost a year later saying we owed them $200. I was so mad I told the head manager what I thought, and all he could say was there was a "mistake in our bookkeeping". Really?! That's a pathetic excuse and no good business ever goes back to collect money when it was their freaking mistake. Yeah, you can tell I'm still passionately bothered by that, and it has been almost two years and still don't even like driving by Fischer's dump of a business!

Fair warning: Some of the employees that work here have no customer service skills…read more Appliances: I was ignored a few months ago when I came in shopping for a washer and dryer. The rude girl didn't even acknowledge / look at me or asked me if she could help me. Online Pickup / Customer Service: I did an order online and one of the items arrived there in their mailbox which showed on my app via tracking number. When I went to pick it up with the other item they said that the receiving department person was gone for the day and I would have to come back whenever they accepted the item in their system. Almost a week went by and no response. Everyday I was checking my order status and nothing. I had to call the store to track down my other item from my order. Eventually it was found in their mailbox due to its parcel size along with other peoples order items. Needless to say there's a problem with receiving items here since items are not being collected from their mailbox. I hope it's fixed now. Also, there is an old rude woman in the pickup desk who has twice been rude to me and doesn't even acknowledge people who are waiting forever in line. Twice already I have waited on her and she's always distracted doing something else other than focusing on the customer in front of her, hence why the wait is so long. She also has an attitude problem as well. In summary, the online ordering and pickup here is a pain. Next time, I will just ship it to my home and or use a different competitor.

I can't believe I forgot to add this gem until tonight when one of my friend's emailed me, "Hey,…read morewho's that affordable nice appliance repair guy?" Mr. Fish, who's like Santa Claus and is a million years old, runs an appliance repair shop. He'll come to your house and fix your washer, dryer. I'm not sure if he does fridges/stoves. He's fixed my 1950's-era washer and dryer three times in 14 years. He will tell you precisely why, "They don't make machines like this anymore. Whatever you do, don't buy new." Two years ago, after fixing my washer (was under $75 I might add) he gave me the sage advice your great grandpa would: "Just use this good old piece til it dies, then I'll update you to another good piece from the late 1960's. Whatever you do, don't buy new. It's made to fall apart in a handful of years." No, I'm not eighty. I'm still a youngin'. I just don't like spending $1,200 on a washer/dryer set that has computer parts and will crap out in five years. So, if you're looking to buy a good USED appliance, go TO NO ONE but him. Then, he'll fix it as long as he'll continue to get parts. He's so old and sweet and amicable, in addition to being affordable, you might want to leave him cookies like you would Santa, too. Just sayin'. P.S. he sells used appliances, too. Go to NO ONE but him. He's the only I guy I trust; he's that good.
