My wife and I, spent the day shopping for a dresser, which turned into an entire bedroom suite. We were very disappointed with the quality and selection in many stores. Customer service was nothing to write home about at another store. Then we went to Fischer!!! What a treasure! We were met by Marissa Cutler. She pointed us in the right direction, asked some questions about our tastes, showed us those (and others), then left us alone. She never forgot about us, made very appropriate appearances to check on our progress, and never pushed anything on us. She was friendly, knowledgeable, humorous, and an absolute perfect sales associate. We didn't find exactly what we wanted, but we found something we both liked, furthermore we saved enough money on the bedroom suite, we bought a couple couches as well. Again, Marissa's patience, and attention to what we were after paid off. Marissa's personality had almost as much influence on our decision to buy, as the product themselves. My husband and I, being 100 miles from Rapid City, try to make the most of our trips to "The Big City" when we go. We decided we were going to not only get all of our Christmas shopping done, but also choose our gift to each other--a new bed--all in one day. After spending hours braving both the crowds and furniture shoppers, we were dissatisfied with the quality of mattresses we were finding. Once we got to Fischer's, however, our sales consultant, Kat, helped us immensely. She was incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly, and helped us to narrow our choices quite quickly (so we could also make it to the movie we planned to go to). We are very happy with our purchase, as well as the delivery date which is mere days from our purchase date. Overall, we are very impressed with our experience; after purchasing large furniture pieces from various businesses in Rapid City, we are now going to stick with Fischer's. read more

My wife and I went in knowing we wanted a chaise sectional, but we still didn't really know what we wanted as far as fabric/color. We worked with Sara and she was great about giving us space while still being nearby to answer any questions we had. She asked us some general questions about what we liked and recommended a few sectionals for us to look at. After settling on a manufacturer and style we liked, Sara was great about showing us all of the fabric options available. They even let us take all of the fabric samples we were interested in home so we could see what they looked like in our living room. I'm only giving it 4 stars right now until the sectional is delivered, which is supposed to be at the end of this month. I will try to update my review after the sectional is delivered. read more

We were in need of a mattress to help alleviate numerous sleep problems with both my husband and I. We came to Fischer Furniture because we have shopped there for probably 30 years and are always satisfied with both the sales staff and quality of whatever we buy. Abby did meet us at the door. She gave us expert advice on getting the right mattress for our needs. We weren't pressured or hurried to make a decision. We tried all beds possible as she suggested, even those that we probably wouldn't want, just for comparison. Abby was very personable and we even got a hug when the deal was done. The I comfort Memory foam/gel bed we chose is so comfortable I could have fallen asleep right there in the middle of the store with the lights on. Can't wait for it to be delivered. read more

My experience at Fischer made a hectic day of furniture shopping into an easy process. The sales associate, Abby, was really friendly, helpful, and she answered all my questions without pressuring me to buy something. She even helped me draw up new plans to work with my space when the sectional I decided on wasn't exactly what I wanted (chaise on the opposite side). When I initially walked in I thought I would never be able to afford any furniture from this store, but, unbeknownst to me, there was a great sale going on so I stayed well within my budget. The loading staff at the warehouse were also very helpful and covered my couch so that it stayed well guarded on the long drive home. Made it without a scratch and the living room looks great! We were fortunate enough to have Sara as our salesperson. She was fantastic. Not pushy, but patient and kept tabs on us whenever we needed her. She was also great with our kids and even babysat one behind the counter while he slept, and we finalized our decisions. There is a ginormous train for the kids to ride and they loved it. We ended up purchasing multiple items for the price of less than ONE couch that we were considering at another place. ALSO, we were unaware they closed at 6pm on Tuesday. We stayed around chatting with Sara and contemplating decisions until 6:45, she didn't mention a single time that they had closed. She was awesome! The first day we were looking at furniture in Rapid was great. I usually hate furniture shopping due to the sales staff bum rushing you at the door, this was not the case at Fischers on day one. The wife and I were free to roam and examine each piece in our search for recliners and an entertainment center. It really was great. The second trip, what I will call our "Are we really sure we want these items?" trip was met with a hawk of a lady that rarely let us out of her sight. If we hadn't been fairly sure of our want of the items we had returned for I would have left. She was nice enough, I just prefer to be able to shop when I go shopping instead of answering questions. Exceptional furniture store... nearly all of the furniture in my house comes from Fischer and we will continue to purchase from them in the future. Our salesman was Kat very down-to-earth, very helpful, and tried to make it fun for our 2 year old. We will work with her in the future as well. We also talked to Lyle, even though he knew we were working with another salesman he was more than willing to help in our search for the right chairs. The reason for 4 stars is because of the wait time to get our furniture. If the recliners we bought were in stock I would give a 6 star. read more

Jacob at Fischer Furniture was helpful, professional, and made sure I received great Customer Service! I had been shopping around town and did not receive that from any of the other locations! The other Sales Associates were equally kind and respectful. I felt no pressure and was treated wonderful! Plus Jacob made sure I had received the lowest price and guaranteed if anything I had purchased went on Sale in the future I would be granted that offer as well. We just purchased another piece of furniture for Fischer Furniture and once again they offered amazing customer service and at a great price. We visited almost every other furniture store in town and was unable to find what we wanted at the price we could pay. During this purchase we were treated with respect when we suggested that we were going to look at other stores first. They had no problem nor did they try and disrespect them. After having shopped at a couple other local furniture stores earlier in the day I went to Fischer's. The associates at both the Clearance Center and at Fischer Furniture we very friendly and helpful - but not in the annoying pushy salesman way that I encountered at the other stores. I felt comfortable shopping and when I did need assistance, Lyle was very helpful. The pricing was much better at Fischers than the other stores I went to earlier in the day and I was able to stay within my budget and find what I wanted. read more

We entered Fischer Furniture to continue our search for a queen mattress set, pad, and frame. We had so far, been disappointed by quality and price. Sales rep Abby met us at the door and directed us to the mattresses. With her knowledge of the product and our own examination and "test drive" we settled on a set. He was very knowledgeable, and solicitous without being pushy. Best selection of furniture in Rapid City, SD! Also the staff is extremely helpful and no pressure to buy was ever received. So many selections it will take you hours just to see it all. My experience at Fischer Furniture was a great once. I was able to go in with my sister to pick out a reclining rocking chair for her new baby and the sales member was very nice and informational. He wasn't push and didn't even laugh when my poor very pregnant sister wasn't able to get out of a chair without assistance. Ant the kids were able to ride the train, which was also a great tool to bribe them to be good with!!! Overall a great experience!!! read more

The salespeople at Fisher's were great! Our first selection would not fit through any of our doors :( but we were assisted to make a second selection and the salespeople were awesome. My sales lady, Abby, was helpful, she had a great sense of humor, and she gave me all the time I needed to select my purchase. My mattress set was delivered 2 days later, and the guys were most helpful in moving out my old set and setting up the new one.
