First of all, their customer service was awesome. We didn't even know where to start and the sales people were helpful right away. Not overbearing or pressuring, just nice and genuinely helpful. They helped me pick out a living room set that my husband loves with a leather sectional that feels so lush and a matching chair. Second, the price was BETTER than I expected. I thought we might pay a little more shopping local (and frankly I was willing to pay a little more to support local biz) but it was cheaper than the competitors. The sofa we got was inspired by something I found on houzz but I figured I'd never be able to find something like it in my price range, but they had something just like it for a price I could actually pay. Third, what prompted me to write this review. This week, we were just feeling settled in in our new home (and loving our new couch) when we got a thank you card out of the blue from the sales lady who helped us. It made me feel really good. And made me feel like they cared and that my business mattered. LOOOOONG story short, I highly highly recommend Slumberland. Once we recover from the $$$$$ of moving, we will go back for a bedroom set and maybe a tempurpedic mattress if I convince my husband. ;)

The mattress was delivered recently, and we also purchased two mattress covers based on the salesperson's recommendation. The issue is that the mattress covers were never shown to us at the time of purchase. When the salesperson said "mattress covers," we reasonably assumed they were padded mattress protectors, not very thin sheets. Had we known this, we would not have bought them. Because I recently had back surgery, these thin covers did not meet my needs. When I returned to the store today to request a refund ($50 each), the manager refused, stating that opened items cannot be returned--even though opening them is the only way to see what you're buying. Given the amount we spent and the lack of flexibility, this experience was very disappointing. Unfortunately, I will not return to Denver Mattress or recommend them to others. I understand store policies, but for a $3,400 purchase, some flexibility and consideration would have gone a long way.

Now I'm waiting for 2 pieces of furniture and it's been 3 weeks. Called Maureen yesterday and she stated it will be ANOTHER MONTH but she'll try and move things around and would call me back... A handful of pieces were even Mid-century, French country and/or shabby chic. The Bad: I and taking off a star because the furniture is poorly labeled. Other than the price, tags didn't have the manufacture, where it was made, dimensions, or even building materials. If you're main sales pitch is quality, I would like to find information on the quality. The Ugly: I took another star off because of the pushy salesperson. I've purchased cars where the sales people had more chill. When I asked the salesperson questions all I got was fluff not facts.
