I think this place is going to be my go to spot when I am craving fried food. I love their wide selection of fish from red snapper to whole catfish to oysters. Their prices are also extremely reasonable. I had the 20piece shrimp dinner which comes with fries, coleslaw, and bread. It cost $10.69. What I loved about the meal was that the shrimp were fried just right. I mean, how many times have you gotten fried shrimp and it is either rubbery or hard? This shrimp was crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. I also really like how the do not use standard shoe string fries. Their fries have a bit of seasoning to them which gives them a great flavor. In addition to the main fish/sides menu, check out the whiteboard next to the registers for some delectable sides. They have fried macaroni and cheese bites(!!!!!!) and other interesting sides like fried crab bites. I ordered the macaroni bites, and they were also perfectly fried. Did I mention they have fried pies? Because they have fried pies. But, I didn't try because I felt like I was already going to cause my arteries enough pain. Amazingly good food! I've been back at least 3x and the fish, shrimp and whole chicken wings are fantastic! Lightly dusted with corn meal, they fry their food like my grandmother used to - no complaints here! Portions are great, chicken tenders and shrimp are HUGE...I can't wait to go back so I can try their chicken gizzards. Definitely a cut above the rest and while only open for 3 weeks, they've definitely earned my loyalty. I explained that I have found businesses passing off swai fish as catfish and I don't like it. As a girl raised off Mississippi catfish I know the difference between the two. So disappointed...we live nearby and were always sketched out that this is in a gas station. But the reviews were decent so last week we tried it. As another poster said it LOOKED good but the grease was obviously old. Tasted awful and the tenders we chewy as all get out. Also the meals were supposed to come with a roll and slaw. I had fried Tilapia, fried chicken wings, fried zucchini, corn nuggets, fried okra, and onion rings. And Onion rings. I personally tried a bite of everything and found absolutely nothing that i would not reorder on my next trip. Now the negative. Basically i live and work about 25-35 min from here. I read some positive reviews of this place online last night and decided to take my dad with my to check it out today. The location is awful first off, but I assume rent is cheap so I get it. The lady at the counter (I assume she was the owner) was a very sweet hispanic woman who was eager to help. I opted for the fried oysters, fried mac & cheese bites, and the fresh lemonade (which to my surprise was frozen and kind of like an icee/slushy). My meal was roughly $16. The lemonade was really good and easily my favorite part! The mac & cheese bites were pretty good as well. Not quite as cheesy as I would prefer, but still really good. But the oysters.... I should have been smarter and known not to order Oysters from a place connected to a gas station... When I started eating them, they just didn't taste right. But I kept eating, hoping it would grow on me. I tried adding lemon and lots of cocktail sauce, but it just tasted kinda funky. I finally asked my dad to try them and give his opinion and he immediately said they tasted as if they had gone bad. I came home feeling a little rough and took a nap for a couple hours. When I woke up, I was throwing up. I threw up three different times since coming home and I know it had to have been from those oysters. I really wanted to like this place. We were a bit skeptical because it's attached to a gas station but don't let that fool you. It's literally the best seafood I've had since my mom has been living in Braselton.
