I've been here a couple of times and decided to write a review. The positive and negatives that I have read are true for the most part.The negative sometimes even if you placed your order a decent time ago it may not be ready.I get busy but I noticed that you could be the only person waiting a long time. I feel as though sometimes people may be culturally insensitive to others. I do agree that the owner seems seems but I just felt as though it wasn't authentic with the type of customers she receives. I did have one order incorrect and literally it took about 30 min to make when the other food was getting cold. IIf you like a extra kick in seasoning in your food fish chicken this may fill you in a crunch but not terribly seasoned. I will say I have been about 5-6 times, when ordering online I select extra seasoning input rather and it does seem to go unnoticed uncared rather. I ordered fish sandwiches as well as they just came with fish and bun no lettuce, tomato, sauce nothing. In instances like this when you pay a decent amount of money for food and people don't care then do business elsewhere or just deal. I haven't found another place in the area so I come here every once in a while. Competitive locations that are further out I favor more but do enjoy they fish variety that isn't popular in some areas. Sometimes you seem to get a decent box filled with food and fries other times fries for a child's meal. Let's get a few things straight. First this is a take out place were you can eat in if you prefer. They do not have a wait staff, but I still thought the service was great. This is not a 5 star restaurant either, HOWEVER this is easily one of the best fried seafood and chicken places I've eaten. The items are bountiful and a lot for the money. Best fried shrimp in town. Its is the closest to fried shrimp on the coast you will find in Gwinnett that will not cost you and arm and a leg. Very sweet staff and they will take great care of you. So I read the reviews on this place while looking for some fried shrimp! I decided to stop by and grab a bite. It's in a gas station plaza which you can't miss if your using gps. Once I walked in it smelled so good I couldn't wait to order! I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The establishing was very clean! I placed my order for the regular shrimp n fries. At first I thought about ordering the jumbo shrimp because some restaurants shrimp sizes are very small when you order the regular ones. The owner assured me that I would be satisfied with the regular size and she was right! The regular small shrimp were a really nice size and I enjoyed them. The shrimp n fries were fried to perfection and the batter on the shrimp was amazing!!! I'm an African American woman n I love fried food! If you go here I promise you won't be disappointed. Went here on Friday night. They cook to order so the wait was average for cook to order. Previous review said "WHOLE" catfish. You do get a whole catfish filet. It doesn't include the tail and it is already de-boned. Not quite a tasty as a whole catfish with bones n tail. I also, ordered 6 hot wings they were tasty and I would get the wings again. I wouldn't get the catfish again. Lastly, I waited 20 minutes for my order. While I was there I searched for the health/sanitation grade/score. It was NO WHERE to be found. I stopped by here after a doctors appointment and was very pleased. I ordered the 10 piece shrimp basket. It came with medium-size shrimp, fries and two pieces of bread. The shrimp and fries were great! (I decided to skip the bread. It appeared to be regular sliced bread.) Also, The price was great. I believe it was $6.00 plus tax. The gentleman who took my order was friendly and helpful. I called in ahead of time but could not find a menu online so he explained the different options I had over the phone. This place is unexpectedly surprising. Initially I did not have high expectations out of what seemed like a small restaurant next to a gas station but Bravo... I can say hands down this place makes some of the best Fried shrimp I have ever had. I had the chicken tenders (delicious), fries (awesome), okra (yummy), talapia (great) but the shrimp... the shrimp are so good u might slap yo mamma...they are very good sized, lightly battered and just plain amazing.
