Still great, just like last year. Had the shrimp boil with sausage, and it was 5*'s. Service was fine as well. If you're in the area and like a good shrimp boil give the Twisted Crab a try.

We used to love going to juicy crab but haven't felt that way in a long time. Twisted crab is a much better option in my opinion and I'm glad it's close to us. Our waiter was cool (not great but not bad either), he used a lot of slang and disappeared for a minute but overall wasn't bad I think he just needs more customer service training. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was great, music wasn't too loud, decor was on point.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food tho! The sauce makes it everytime and the combo sauce was great with made the food great as well (which is why they put it in the bag!). Oh the drinks are pretty good too!! We had a great experience with our family and will definitely be back. No more juicy crab for us ever!!

Customer service isn't their strongest suit. Most of the time that we were there it felt as if we were an inconvenience. As if they were doing us a favor by hosting us and feeding us for free. My brother recommended the place and had been several times so there's that. We were a large party celebrating my mom's birthday. Reservations were made with plenty of days for them to accommodate us. We had two waiters and it took a long time for them to start serving us after we were seated. Just the basic introductions and getting drink orders were very slow to come. So much so that my cousin and I decided to go to the bar first. After waiting quite a while, somebody finally came up to us and told us that we couldn't order from the bar because we had a large party. Even for alcoholic beverages. Annoyed again. My fries came out cold. Not room temperature, cold. How long were they sitting there before somebody decided to bring them out? Food should be served as it's ready. The drink I ordered finally came out after a couple of reminders. Not worth the price I paid, at all. The guy who was serving my side of the table was not attentive at all. He would disappear for long periods of time. We even asked the woman who was serving the other half for assistance twice and somehow she was able to help right away. For me, the customer service isn't worth me patronizing this establishment again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a good time but that was because it was mom's birthday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will say that most people didn't have an issue with their food. Just the time that it took to arrive and the lack of communication between. One person's food didn't come out at all. Mistakes will happen with this large of a party but the communication piece was missing. Customer service - A low 2 Food - 3.5 Giving 3 starts overall is pretty generous. Safe to say, I won't be back. But give it a shot, maybe it was an off day?

We were feeling seafood and I love my shrimp boils. So, we ordered the 1/2 pound shrimp boil with heads and 1/2 pound shrimp boil without heads with the twisted seafood seasoning. You can choose your spice level out of 5 ranges. Boils come with potatoes and corn but you can sub for more potatoes or more corn. And we ordered the fried oyster basket with seasoned fries. Overall experience was pretty good. Flavors were great in my opinion. Depending on those who like their boils dry or saucy, this place could be a hit or miss. They happen to make it saucy, the way I like it. The only downside is the the 1/2 pound shrimp boils didn't really fill me up...I was either super hungry or the portions were really small, and the fried oysters had a little too much breading. Prices were decent but more on the higher end but that's usually seafood. Overall, food was fresh. Server we had was super awesome! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience was good; interior is seaside based with fish nets, wooden interior, crab decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's also way bigger on the inside than it looks. Great for small or large parties.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, they have special events and deals; when I went it was ladies night and everything was 10% off and $5 drinks. Try it for yourself! I'd love to come back if I'm in town. Till then, let's eat!

Visited on a Friday afternoon during the lunch hour. There was plenty of parking and we were able to walk right in and be seated. No wait. The host and waiter were polite and answered any questions we had. We ordered the shrimp and catfish baskets which were pretty tasty but a bit greasy based on coming right out of the Fryer. Fries were delicious though. We'd visit again, but this place is comparable to most other seafood boil spots in the county. Prices are about the same as well. So if you're near 85 and Buford Drive, this would be a good lunch time stop for Seafood. There is a lunch menu.

Hungry and craving for seafood boil. We came across this place. We got the summer boil which includes half pound of snow crab legs, mussells and shrimps, potato and 2 piece of corn. We chose their twisted sauce in medium spice. I think this is a great deal considering its only $24.99. Andreana served us well. $2 off on mondays on mixed drinks! My margarita came out only at $5. Had a great time here would go back.

What can I say! This place is lively and very open. We did have to wait on our server. The food did take a little longer to come out. The shrimp and crawfish were on the bigger size but lacking in flavor (Cajun). The garlic flavor was salty. The buffalo wings were decent but slightly salty.

We went during the week and the place was practically empty. The service was good though and food was not bad either. Not the best seafood boil but not the worst. Will definitely come back just because it was easy to get in, convenient to home and the drinks were fun and tasty. The prices and daily specials aren't bad to have either.

I'm hoping that this place improves because it's in a prime location with not a lot of other seafood boil options nearby to compete with. Our server would take forever to do anything / check on us. It took her 15 mins to get us the check and we ordered a margarita that never came. When I asked for Togo boxes, she only gave me a bag even though I clearly had a side of rice that was full and needed a lid as well. She didn't come back once she gave us the bags, so after another 5-10 mins of waiting, I had to walk inside and have another server get me a lid. Maybe she was too focused on any tables she had inside. The food is okay - all of us had issues getting the snow crab out of the shells which screams that it wasn't fresh. We did like that they give a lot of corn and potatoes. The sauce is not really flavorful - needed more salt or something, normally when you get the house special with all sauces mixed together it's a flavor bomb but not here. Calamari was good but very small portion, comes out with like 5-6 pieces. Likely won't come back and wouldn't recommend until they figure it out better.

You feel like you're in 'Mary Poppins."…read moreGeorge Clarke There really is something special about being on a rooftop on a perfect summer evening, and it's great to have it right in downtown Sugar Hill. I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

We walked around and finally ran into a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wished inside or outside. The only area festive was inside a closed igloo and no heaters were on outdoors which was just a tad too cool for me despite the super nice weather that day. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.

So you literally had to box them, then pay your bill to close..... With that said, The recent visit I made last week was MUCH better. Decor of this locale is real loungy and sleek. Nice ambiance for a Gwinnett experience...The staff is very pleasant, and the Siracha wings are amazing!!! Presentation was so simple but nice... My friend got another chicken dish, that kinda looked like a Cordon Bleu, and that was quite tasty as well. Drinks are fair, (tiny portions with ice), and the music is good. The woman simply told me restaurants that make Monte Cristo's (in general) are hard to find, and THIS is one of her favorite places on the planet to get one. ENOUGH SAID!!! It's especially great for larger groups because everything is meant to be shared, so you get to try a little bit of everything. We tried the carne asada, which was really good, the birria ravioli had great flavor, although I do think the pasta could have been cooked a little longer. The octopus was one of my favorites, and the patatas bravas were delicious too. They also have a huge cocktail selection, and we tried a few drinks and some beers, which came out super cold. The good parts didn't outweigh the not-so-good for me. 1. Located on the 9th floor of The Westin, BUT, parking is mad affordable, which is a big relief as usually hotel rooftops have a static valet parking fee for $25 or more. There is a garage right in front of the entrance and its 5 bucks for up to 4 hours. 2. Views - decent enough for the 9th floor, but mostly overlooks trees and some highways. There isn't much to actually look at as far as a skyline. I was here in the daytime though, maybe at night with whatever city lights coming in, it may be a lil more charming. 3. Ambience - the inside was really nice, the tables were big and seating was comfy, a combo of cushioned chairs and velvety booths or couches. nice decor, and the outside portion of the rooftop also seemed very spacious, with a big main area as well as seating & a few more tables down the side of the building. I went during the yacht rock brunch period, so there was a live DJ spinning old hits from the 70s/80s. the music was at a cool volume, not so loud that you can't hear anyone speak, but not too low like background music - loud enough that you feel like its okay to vibe out. 4. Food & Service - this is where it fell apart for me. when i was seated, it took about 15-20 minutes for my waitress to come and ask me what i wanted to drink. when she finally did, i realized this same woman had walked past me several times before, on the way to do nothing in particular. she didn't introduce herself but was polite. she brought out my coffee and took my order, it took an hour for my food to come out. and the place wasn't crowded. only 2 couples sitting outside and about 40% capacity ithe indoor section where I was. and the food was subpar. it all came out hot, BUT. chicken sausage was hard to bite because casing was burnt and tough. eggs were cooked with so much butter it just tasted like i was eating fluffy butter. biscuit was dry and couldn't possibly be homemade. 'parmesan potatoes' had a few sad dried dots of cheese and parsley but no seasoning whatsoever. i forced myself to eat about half. I live far from Duluth, so really no reason to come back. Maybe a nighttime hang with drinks only, on the outdoor terrace would be a slightly better experience. But I don't have to find out.
