a chalk drawing of a crab

I was on the highway and saw a sign for Crabby's Seafood Bar and Grill and was instantly hungry for some good brunch. Located right off of the highway, it has indoor and outdoor seating. The weather was a bit cool and cloudy so all dining was inside. I came late on a Sunday afternoon, with seated right away. Right as you walk in, there are two large metal crabs in the landscaping, and a chalk wall with fun art right as you enter. They decor is deep and moody, unique artwork throughout in bold colors. The glass light fixtures were certainly unique. The menu offered brunch items, seafood, a good variety everyone in a party would sure to find something they liked. Ben was my server and was extremely friendly, had really great customer service. He suggested the Chesapeake Benedict with home fries, I'm glad he did, because it was delicious. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, upon cutting into them the egg yolk ran down into the crab cake beautifully. Amazing flavor, really delicious. I ordered a spicy bloody Mary that was made well, was garnished with celery, olives and a lime. Certainly glad I stopped, I highly recommend Crabby's to anyone looking for a delicious meal and unique ambiance.

Come once a week at least! Never had a bad experience. Love the staff, and the food. One of the best patios in the area!

I'm sorry but the food wasn't as good compared to other similar menu pricing. The ambiance was good though and there's indoor/outdoor option. Reservations accepted, ample parking space. It's nice that they have food offerings for the kids though. My kids were actually able to eat real food! Ha! Ok, just because of the kids meal option, I'm giving it a 4-star. If not, it'll just be 3 if we're talking about your money's worth. The kids meal price was acceptable though. Ok, I think I'm sleepy, I'm going back and forth. Bye.

Really Good Bacon Wrapped Shrimp And Snow Crab Legs! If you can, sit outside! It's very enjoyable and less noisy!

Will was the server, I've had him before, as I work nearby and frequent this establishment. I asked for a modification to a dinner entree that I thought would be SUPER easy and Will confirmed with chef that this could be done. When entree arrived it was not what I asked for and complete opposite, to make it worst Will noted that "next time you might want to tell them to add".. hey Will you are THEM, I told YOU, is this guy serious?! And then he just shrugged it off and left me to it. No offer to make it right I had to ask for the "amendment" the earlier ask, to be brought to me as sides and I just prepared at table best I could. I was also brought out regular waffle fries, when asked about sweet potato, Will told me they do not offer this. Since when?! .. I ALWAYS get sweet potato fries, when was this removed from menu? OK, maybe that isn't on Will...?? Also tried the new pasta and it was an overkill with raw, red onion. Pulled out a whole, half, that had not been sliced up.. dining experience was a disappointment for sure.

Not what I remembered. I used to love this place for brunch. Came here - picked it for Mother's Day - regrets. Reservation at 11, not sat for 30 minutes. Complete mayhem. I pre-reviewed the menu and came here for crab cakes. Of course no crab cakes but open to the buffet. We received our drinks 20 minutes after our food. A line 20 ppl long for a 12-ft buffet table. Everything was old/crusty and lukewarm. Dessert options? Mini cheesecakes a la Sam's Club and cookies like you get at a Chinese buffet. Very bizarre, quasi-upset about this. I used to love this place. Oh well, thankful for the time with my kids and husband. Won't be back again and won't recommend. Now we continue to wait for the check. Happy Mother's Day Update: $130 plus tip for this. My gosh. Update update: My god I just read other reviews for brunch a week ago - they served French toast and eggs Benedict - none of that was served for Mother's Day - why downgrade the food for us moms?

Clayton was our server and he receives 6 stars for his stellar service! We began with a Moscow Mule and a glass of 14 Hands - Hot to Trot wine both were delicious. My lil lady ordered Walleye, green beans, garlic mashed potatoes and side salad. It was really good and she loved it. I ordered the Sea Bass lightly blackened and pan seared and it was sensational! Cup of chowder was the norm, garlic mashed potatoes had too much garlic for me, extremely strong! The asparagus was ok. We shared strawberry shortcake, the cake was a little dry but overall it was good. I would order it again.

Dropped in this place for brunch with friends. Lots of options for brunch. Try the shrimp and grits appetizer! Enjoy dining on the outside patio. And the best part is the $2 mimosa's in Sunday! The bar tenders are amazing. Can't believe I have lived in town 7 years and this was my first visit. We will be back.

I'm not a seafood person but my husband and his friend were in heaven. They said it was cooked so good. I had the steak. It was okay. We were at a seafood place. I would have rather had the hummus plate as my meal. The staff were amazing.

Great recommendations and when the special we ordered was sold out we were able to change the fish for the same prep. Started with a blueberry margarita, which was tart but excellent. I like grapefruit (I peel it like an Orange and eat the wedges without sugar) so right up my alley. Even my wife (who doesn't like grapefruit) loved this drink. Had the Ceviche app. Really good. I am kind of a ceviche expert (have been eating it and a similar food called kelaguin all over the world) and this may be the best we have had in the States. We shared the lobster ravioli and a pecan crusted red snapper (the monkfish was sold out) and both were great. Ravioli was exceptional. Three pieces, shrimp and perfect sauce. Lots of lobster in the filling. The snapper which again was the substitute for the monkfish was light with a more subtle flavor but was served with really good mashed potatoes and broccoli. Unfortunately the ravioli came out first (had to change the fish so slight delay) so the strength of the ravioli flavor would have been better as the second shared entree due to the subtleness of the pecan crusted snapper. But really that is not a complaint. Tight rooms, packed with tables and people. Even so not too loud to have a conversation and everyone was super nice. We will eat here again next time we visit.

The presentation of the rolls was horrible--looked like it was made on an assembly line without any care for what made it onto each individual piece of the roll. The rolls also just weren't made well and many of the pieces fell apart after attempting to pick them up. Worst part of the whole thing was the embarrassing attempt to have lemon be apart of the rolls. The lemon slices were big and non-uniform--they looked like they belonged slotted on the rim of a glass of water not on a sushi roll. Instead of providing a nice hint of tartness, the lemon just overpowered any other flavor. Beyond that, they were just carelessly strewn across the top of the roll, so the coverage for individual pieces was laughable. Horrible experience. Up until this time, I would have been recommending Blu over Junto, but now I'm not even sure it ranks higher than Sushi House. Don't plan to be back anytime soon.

This is seriously the spot you go when you care more about what's on your plate than the fancy…read moreschmancy stuff.... rated based on food quality and value. AMBIANCE Simple and unpretentious with a lot of (you guessed it) fishing-related and coastal decor. There's a dining patio of sorts when you first enter with a fan and more lighting, but you can walk in further for more air-conditioned seating. We walked in one evening craving a no-frills solid seafood spot and we found it here. You walk in and there's a huge menu billboard and order at the counter, pay, and you get a buzzer and can find a table anywhere! SERVICE Efficient and straightforward...we ordered and within 10 minutes our buzzer rang and we picked up our food on a tray and brought it back. FOOD This is where it delivers! The seafood tastes fresh, seasoned well, and cooked without being overcomplicated. We ordered the grilled plate with rainbow trout that was served with beans, rice, and grilled zucchini and squash vegetables. Loved the grill marks and thought it was very simple, balanced, and cooked just right. We also tried the fried catfish fillet and shrimp with fries and hushpuppies, which came out hot and crispy without feeling greasy or overbreaded. Tasted great with the tartar sauce. We felt the portions were solid for the price and everything feels consistent. We'd heard great things about the key lime pie on here... and it absolutely lived up to it. The slice was generous for the price, and the flavor of the key lime pie filling delivered. It was bright, creamy, and just the right amount of tangy without being too much sweetness. And the crust? Exactly how it should be. You know the kind that crumbles apart...or turns into a rock-hard dense layer you fight through with your fork? Not this one! This one held together but still gave easily with each bite, so you actually get that perfect balance of filling and graham crust every time. I didn't expect to say this but goodness this is the $7.95 pie that gets it right....and if I could buy it as a birthday cake, I would! Definitely would come back to try any of the other seafood plates on the menu *and* more key lime pie! :)

The restaurant is tried and true, understated elegance , attentive service. All those things are still true. My husband ordered the wagu special. The meat was very very tender. I had the 7 ounce filet. As usual, we shared tastes, and we really couldn't tell flavor difference between the two meats. The filet is still that good. I also ordered the mushrooms as a side. A very generous portion came and they were fine. Not amazing, but fine. Our waiter treated us to a lovely strawberry cheesecake and we really liked it. It was light and flavorful. A nice end to a heavier meal. We like River Grille. We truly do. But there was something that didn't resonate as in the past. Maybe the addition of so many other restaurants in the area that also offer wonderful food has shadowed the specialness of this place. Maybe it was a few things that didn't show attention to detail as we were accustomed. We will go again? Of course.
